- The Carisma MSA-1E is a intriguing choice when it comes to small-scale RC's and it left a big impact with me. Surprising power, capability and quality abound in this small package and if there's an upgrade path, I'm all in!

I almost fell for it! LOL
Sorry but I'm going to need you to text me to confirm this isn't a scam 🤣
Thanks for the warning. 👍
I appreciate the 1/24 reviews. They’re taking over my garage. Course build coming soon!
I’ve never been a big fan of the Brat…had an OG Tamiya Brat and Hardbody Pajero. Loved the Pajero (still have it) and would love a 1/24 scale version!
glad to see they did a v2, definitely more Interested in owning one now. I've always been a fan of that Brat, and the Pajero is just rad, good to see some more variety in body styles
Love the variety this adds to the small-scale stuff. They're not jeeps or Power Wagons, like what has to be two thirds of what's out there... The bumper and lights bar also look like they come directly from the SG 1802 I have.
Its great to see more options for 1/24 scale fans
I pretty much learned how to drive in one of those Pajeros back in the day, so I have a soft spot for them. Our family clocked half a million kilometers to it and sold it still in nice condition. It was '88 so last of the non-intercooler turbo diesels, hence no scoop on the hood. Long wheelbase version, too.
Very cool! Thanks for watching!
Matt, another fantastic video man! Cheers.
Oh my god... Your giving one away... Dude... That's sooo amazing...
And it's for the average Joe, just a sub and a like and a comment.!!
That's so cool of you to do... Gosh this would be soooo cool of a entrance to the RC world... And I makes sense to start with a crawler, instead of a buggy, or basher...
It seems like rc has exploded since the dreaded cov19. I wanna thank you, as you are part of what got me interested in RC again, first time since my early teens.
Good luck everyone.
Please and thank you for the opportunity! Would love to win this one.
Would love the Pajero!
That chassis does seem to offer more torque than the others on the market. Will surely make the driving experience a lot more pleasant.
I like the Brat body. It looks like it sets the body weight low. One of the main reasons I like a chopped and pinched Deadbolt body.
I'd like to get ahold of one.
These look like a fun chassis builders start. It would be interesting to see how far a guy could go with those beefy components.
Be well, and have fun.
Always been a fan of the Subaru brat but I smile grew in my face when I seen they did a pajero.great vid, love the show😎👍🏻
Always a good time when you upload!!
That looks great! I recently bought a MSA-1E v1 Brat for a friend as their first "real RC".It was mostly for the novelty of the Brat body, which said friend is obsessed with. The car is ok, but a bit lacking in the performance department compared to my SCX24s. Glad to see they made a few updates, namely the previous motor was tiny and weak! I would like to see a better battery, 130mah is not very much runtime, but it performs well on a lipo pack. The Pajero is beautiful, I've been eyeing their SCA-1e Pajero as well!
Really happy to see one of most prominent RC brands in Europe to show with new stuff! Really happy also to see that you took the time to review and show us everything! Thanks again! Another awesome video!
Glad you liked it!
Always liked the idea of a 1/24 th scale couldn't make up my mind which. A pajero looks like something I would choose as 80s and 90s vehicles are my soft spot nice to see another option on the market and of course another sterling video from SBG 👍
24th scale is getting more options, always good to see. Great video.
Thanks 👍
A lot of interest in these lately. Cool to see an update. 🤙😎
Thanks for reviewing this little car-truck Matt. It looks like a very intriguing option in the 1/24 crawler scene. The chassis is weird but I am as well so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt just as people do with me. Good luck to everyone and have a lovely day!
That chassis looks like it'd be good for a mud/monster truck build!
Another great review of a small vehicle. I always watch your videos and thoroughly enjoy them. The video composition and presentation is top quality!
Thank you very much!
the 24th scales open a good easy way to go hardbody with several different options.
Great looking rig there. Little bit bigger tires for clearance and that thing would be a beast!
Great looking and performing liitle truck. Thank you for the opportunity to own one.
Love the Pejero, I’m always seeing these things on off road videos from overseas
Glad you enjoyed!
Hi from South Texas. I had 2 of the version 1.0. They now live in a box. Same with the Hobbypark or whatever it was. I am actually looking forward to this vs. the FCX-24. My course is to tight for the FCX. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Love the video! I wish the transmission was not possitioned that way, but Im sure someone will find a way to put it in its side. It will be fun to see a performance comparison of the scx24 c-10 and the msa-1e v2 brat.
I love the body choices, the same old Toyota/Jeep releases just get old. So seeing something like this really stands out. I was worried about those chonky diffs but it seems to perform just fine. Might have to look into this one more....somewhere in the middle my USTE build 😂
Great video Matt ;)
My dad had a Pajero just like that way back then !
And a big 👍for the little "subie" Subaru Brumby as they were called here Australia ;
Waiting on another breakthrough like the FCX24 from FMS before buying another 24th scale rc. I know they're small but at the moment my stable has 8 of them. The torque looks great for sure. Appreciate the video, cheers!
That Brat is so cool!
OMG. GIMME. NOW.
Cool they put a 130 in there. That's stock for 1:16 RTR. Big torque for this little jam.
Always a better day when SBG posts a video
You're the best!
I am a huge Subaru fan so I am glad to see some representation. Like the scale look of it as a starter. I am also not a big fan of stickers for windows. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching!
These look like an interesting option. My wife won't let me build a 1/10 crawler course in the garden but I think I could hide a 1/24 one somewhere
Great idea! She won't notice at all 😂.
Thank you so much for your videos!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
…you know how I feel about that…
Oh man, that part cracked me up! 👍✌️
Great review as always! Brats were great fun back in the day. But not for handbrake turns, unless you were flat out in reverse!! 👍😉
Great little rigs, might have to get another one as gave the two I had to a friends kids after they took ownership of them at a BBQ.
The V2 looks pretty good!
Look forward to all of your reviews
Like the Subaru
Looks like a very unique type of truck in every way, at first I was expecting it to be like the rgt but aside from the tiny little tires it doesn’t look to bad
I am chuffed with the specs of the truck. As always, great video.
Thanks 👍
Thanks Matt for a great review.always enjoy you content! Keep em coming.
Thanks! Will do!
The brat is pretty cool, maybe ill get one eventually
Nice little truck
Good review may need to see about getting one for my grandson.
That's a beefy little guy!
Kinda cool 😎 chassis kinda reminds me of the old losi 24th scale
Great work as always Matt! Good honest review. 👌
Thanks! 👍
Never tried the smaller scale crawlers, I was looking at the SCX24 but think you've made me think hard but waiting a month first though lol
Definitely a different beast than the Scx24, but it looks pretty good!
way cooler than Harley designs robots 👍🏻👍🏻
Love the pajero body!
Looks neat.
I use that brat body on my scx24 comp buil
Great review as always!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great review, love your content!!
Nice rig there!
Thanks! 👍
Always love your Videos Dude keep it up 👍🏻
Thanks! Will do!
great review my friend. I really like the subaru body that carisma did for this truck, however I agree with you that that the slightly odd chassis takes away from the scale looks. Have you ever tried an ftx outback mini or a hobby plus CR24 (same truck different brands), I have two now and I am working on a scale Land Rover defender body for it. I would really recommend this car and you can pick it up for as little as £40-£50. Loving all the content:)
Thanks for sharing! I'm not familiar with those trucks, so I'll have to check them out.
Looks nice
Will you do a comparison between axial wraith 1.9, scx10iii wrangler and gladiator?
Cool little truck hope I win if not congrats to whoever does!
Great and indepth review. Looks like it may have some better slow crawl than the scx24 v1. Which uses a 030 motor. Lol 😆
hey, its me
The brat is definitely something different from the norm. Seems like it would preform pretty well with few modifications. Great video, thanks Josh.... I mean Mat. Jk/LOL 🤪
Looks like a good parts grab if nothing else. How different are the wheel hexes? Say as compared to an SCX24, same inner diameter?
Thanks for the great review as always Matt, love the content. Looks like an interesting truck and nice to see another 24th scale vehicle on the market, especially one with a bit more of a trail focus. I’m yet to drive a 1/24 and that Pajero does look mighty fine 😉
Thanks for watching!
Winner winner chicken dinner!!
Thanks for the great video, first time making a comment.
Thanks for watching and for the comment!
New to the hobby, learning different thing on how to build my own.
The chassis looks like it belongs on a mega truck!
Nice!
Looks pretty good. Is the pajero a lexan body also?
Yes it is!
Wow, another generous giveaway. Maybe don't send a Pajero to Spain, probably won't get through customs. 🤣
Not bad at all really. Yes it has some down sides.
But performance wise it's not bad.
When I had rhe scx24 gladiator, it just flipped back or over non stop haha.
Yes I sold it haha. I'm building my Betty up. But hey.
These little things are fun
I'd like to see one of the many companies do a 10th scale hard body brat.
I almost got one in high-school.
I already had a 90 Toyota pick up 4x4.
I though the brat would be awesome with some yota axles, and much much more haha.
Awesome little trar things haha.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Blind Guy! This is Rebecca, Matt's wife. I've tried to contact 2 potential winners for this truck and never got a response, so I've decided that you are now the WINNER! It's a thank you for all of your comments and support for the channel. Please send Matt an email at matthew@scalebuildersguild.com with your address and he'll send it out to you! Good luck with the wedding and thanks again for watching!
@@scalebuildersguild omg. You both are so awesome. Thank you so much.
😎👍👍🧡
My boy would love it.
The SCX24 has a 030 motor stock, not the longer 050 like the RGT/FTX/Enduro24.
Nice to see Charisma finally going to a 130 motor. Previous motor was smaller than even a 030/050. The FCX24 that recently came out has a 130 motor, as does the Kyosho before it. The Panda Hobby 1/18 tetra has the longer 180 can, but the transmission gearing is awful and the motor is mounted very high.
Oooh!!! For free?! Really?! That's my favorite price! Especially since my scx24 deadbolt esc went to crap a few weeks ago. Now I have to sneak my sons c10 out when he's not looking to get my rc fix in... a bone tossed my way would be a welcome surprise! Lol
Cool video! The axles definitely look a bit chunky and it looks like it has almost no ground clearance but it’s still pretty cool!
Very good unboxing video 👍 Runs well too, my friend🤝🎶👍
Thanks for the good solid content as ever Matt. Looks like a nice alternative to the SCX24 and that big motor is a real plus.....shame about the painted windows though.
thanks for showing us another option in the tiny truck field. I appreciate how you don't pull your punches and give us the strait skinny. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks for watching!
great review, love your channel awesome content. Thank you for all your hard work and time that you put into you videos.
Thanks for watching!
Love tha content! That looks sick!
I wonder if I will win the RC car.
Pretty impressive for 1/24 scale. It's cool to see more brands getting into this area of trucks
At first glance of the body, I thought it was the 1/10th Pajero. They look really great except for those windows, but I'd probably cut the side ones and clean out the front windshield... Maybe even repaint it to a Dakar look! Here's to my entry on that giveaway... Thanks!😃🤟🏻
PS my first glance at the motor's layout was... They know something we don't, because I can't get my head around why would they do it... But if it doesn't roll as bad as you'd think... Hooray for them to achieving that!😬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The pajero looks nice.
Love all your videos and how detailed you go into everything 👍
Glad you like them!
These look nice, weird, but nice. The Pajero body looks awesome. Impressed of the performance yet having the motor so much high.Great review Matt!
I think people like the Sub because it kinda resembles the Back To The Future Marty Truck.
I'll take it the other one.. My Pro-Line 1/24 broke awhile back.
That's an interesting little truck, especially with their choice of bodies in that scale. It would make a fun addition to the lineup with the SCX24's, that's for sure. Thanks for the review, Matt!
I was excited it was a Brat until I saw that they didn't even attempt to model the two jump seats the Brat had in the bed. If I ever purchase one of these, a hard body with those jump seats will be the project! Or maybe I'll just build one for the TRX4M.
Corrections: The SCX24 has a 030 motor, not a 050 motor. The 130 motor in the MSA-1E v2 is matched by the Mini-Z 4x4 and FCX24 and dwarfed by the 180 in the Panda Hobby Tetra24. My thoughts: Typical Carisma product full of...interesting design choices.
Hi, Rebecca. I was like 253. 😆 . Nice tiny truck. I’m impressed myself with the torque. I think the cover does well concealing the chassis appearance.
Roses are Red, SCX6’s are Big…. Don’t be a BRAT, and give me that Rig!!! Please!
He is superb!
It is well arranged modulation compared to V1.
I have an scx24 and frankly I like this little Carisma a lot.
Thank you for your advice .
The Frenchie...
I was surprised how well the small 1:24 trucks perform. Saw my stepson with his and was impressed.
