Duncan's wild theme is finally here... featuring the resident Drum Wizard: Jack Amblin!
I took inspiration from Mike & Junior's original theme and composed a 1920s jazz style theme for Duncan's saucy self (inspired by too many hours trying to beat Cuphead 😅)

“There is nothing wrong that tunnel, you stuck in it because you tried to do “rock’n’roll”. Tunnels are not dance floors and you are not a pop star, if this continues i shall find ways to cut you down to size, in other words your career is *ahem* on the line, need I say I more?”
Duncan comes off as the rebellious type. He never listens to advice from others, he always complains when he doesn't get what he wants, he puts himself ahead of even passengers, and he never learns his lessons. Yet I sometimes feel bad for him.
Sir Topham Hatt: "No passengers means no polish!"
Duncan: "No polish means no passengers!"
"ACK, Yeer terrible, ladd!" Said Duncan crossly, "ugh, 'ee only used im'gis of meh crashin' for this 'un! Disgustin!"
Even just from the thumbnail alone, Jack just looks like a badass

God this sounds so bouncy! Perfect fit for Duncan’s Rock n’ Roll type attitude.
I personally couldn't agree more with ya on that statement, but it's completely obviously clear that we certainly hadn't seen him in his own official ROCK-'N'-ROLL type of attitude SINCE the show's very own complete classic era's entire 4th season when he got introduced alongside the other narrow-gauge engines, or even during his own official character comeback in the show's very own complete full CGI animated era's entire 18th season in the episode titled Duncan and the grumpy passenger when he got fed up in the events of dealing with a certain grumpy passenger! However, it's completely obviously clear that I personally did see him get grumpy from time to time throughout the entire show such as like the time when he complained 'bout the holidays UNTIL Mr. Percival challenged him to try to be cheerful all day in order to get a new coat of paint! Of course, he failed the challenge! Although, he certainly DID show the holiday spirit by helping Luke who seemed to basically have gotten into a specific spot of a predicament on a certain icy section of track as his own official sandbox had gone empty goin' uphill!

3:07 I've especially wanted to mention that I personally just suddenly came up with the official idea of usin' this version of Duncan the grumpy Scottish narrow-gauge engine from the show's very own complete classic era's entire 4th season in future full CGI animated era episodes; which certainly would BASICALLY ALSO DEFINITELY 100% ABSOLUTELY make it certainly seem like you're watching the official classic series era of the well-known Thomas & Friends TV series AGAIN despite the fact that the show apparently went through an official reboot recently! Besides, it's completely obviously clear that I'm personally quite amazingly outstandingly easily certain that Mike O'DONNELL & Junior Campbell would be exactly 100% honored as it'll keep their legacy strongly alive for many years to come for sure!

I feel like this would be a good theme for Duncan in a TTTE Mod for Cuphead were all the engines are unleashing all their rage for not consenting to all the bad treatment they received in YTPs, and the only way to defeat them is claiming their soul contract.

I've especially wanted to mention that the show's complete 4th season certainly does happen to be exactly Duncan's introduction season into the popular TV show as well as the other narrow-gauge engines!

Amazing, this would fit right in with a dance sequence or an intro to a Pixar movie. The beginning of the jazzy bits started to remind me of Jungle Rhythm from 'Jungle Book 2'. I love this man, it's so bombastic.

Maybe it’s just me (though kinda I doubt it), but I could hear a lot of inspiration taken (deliberate or just coincidentally) from Sing Sing Sing. Being that I grew up with big band music, I say that was an awesome direction to go with Duncan. You never fail to impress with these Luke. Can’t wait for the next one!

I love Duncan as a character, and also how Georgie Carlin voiced him as Scottish. This theme solidifies Duncan. The upbeat Rock 'n' Roll feel of this is very in character.

I can dig it, like a flower-bed. Having grown up with TTTE, Duncan was my favorites just cause his theme stuck in my head, and i often find my self humming or whisteling it. This is Amazing. Great job.

I don't know what I was expecting but I'm glad I clicked on this.
NGL, I was never a fan of Duncan's theme as a kid. I always found it a little too dissonant, but this really helped me appreciate just how much it worked for this character. And as always, the arrangement kicks ass!
Same here Gabriel! As an adult I think it's fun to reframe these through jazz because it makes it easier as a listener to process the dissonance :)
