There was a flash game I used to play all the time. Theres a web game called mushroom kingdom fusion which is not to far off from that, i reccomend checking it out! (Just gonna note there is a mandatory level in one of the worlds that takes place in a giant corpse, and another where unless you dodge well, you gotta travel through a worm)

I'm disappointed X doesn't simply sink in water. The limit to his wall jump is brand new to this mod, as far as I know, and he at least jumps super high in water in his games, so I don't think he'd even need the infinite wall jump. X being unable to swim should be fine because in water he jumps like Luigi with windy powers.
yeah, any megaman character in mario 64 should make it be a cakewalk. its like mario having the metal cap, but without the movement debuff. perhaps making so when you press the jump button on water more than once, X starts to swim, else he just sinks, that would make sense(though, far as i'm aware in the series the reploids don't swim unless they are a aquatic one, but there isn't anything saying they cant, is just that walking underwater is more convenient.)

Man 17 games is the understatement of the year lol. As a megaman fan I know we have at around 183 games if we include the spin offs. And covering all the games from just firmly in the main timeline we still have 35 games. Yes I know I have a problem being so hyper fixation on megaman. This is such a cool mod! I've always wondered how Megaman would look in a 3D space, and this mod answers that question at last. The only things I would suggest to make the mod truly amazing is a lock-on system and if the alt caps were different armors for X: metal cap is Gaea Armor, invisible cap is the Shadow Armor, and flight cap is the Falcon Armor.
I know it's a matter of time, but I can't wait for Skooch to play Superman 64, not the big blue in mario, the honest to God game, might make the gacha one look like a playground
Megaman X is underrated and I would argue under appreciated. Capcom really should've tried to make another 2D side scroller to go alongside the original even if it had to be a reboot.
There are three brothers. Blues (Proto Man), Megaman, and X. Blues was the first prototype robot Dr. Light and Dr. Wily created. Rock (or Mega) was created as Dr. Light's assistant but later became Megaman as a super robot hero. And X is a new generation robot for the future, but due to Dr. Light's age/illness, X was sealed away for 100 years.
I think what would’ve made this mod/video much easier and better gameplay-wise is aiming the buster, sort like the lock-on mechanic in Zelda OOT or even a zoomed in shoulder aim like in 3rd person Resident Evil games. Also, I’m pretty sure Zero is also being added as a playable character in the near future but is unfinished.
It would be to anoying to do, you normally have a lot of guns to attack and different ways to move with them, with Mario you wouldn't have most of them, maybe Rush since it's just a dog that you call to help you
I want a mod that uses the masks from Majoras Mask lol. Swimming as a zoro, running on water and flying as a deku scrub, or rolling around as a goron? Sounds fun to me lol.
Great video. I wanna see someone make Metroid: Other Megaman. Samus ends up in Megaman with power ups themed by the robot bosses and mega man absorbs abilities from the metroid monsters and bosses and plays through super metroid.

Just going off of the sounds (and lack thereof lol) in the MyArcade version it kinda looks like it was based on the GameBoy version, which I can only recognize as it's the only version I knew until finding this video, it sounds the same, and kinda looks like that as well

You could certainly beat every boss. The platforming is where this gets interesting until you realize rush is borderline like having no clip.
