I just want the absolute best for this man. Hearing him speak about support from Coach Reid, Travis Kelce, Toney and Veach. Making sure he knows that he is valued even when he is struggeling. That is a team to be proud of.
They need to give him a non-player position. He's a great person, but he's dead weight as a player being so unreliable with his health issues being so random.
@@EvilGoatBoy1000% respectfully disagree. Other team members see an organization in KC that values them as humans not just some workhorse that’s easily dispensable when the tires run out and you play HARD for a org like that. Also, you are making the same mistake most ppl make about PTSD (I say this as someone who works in the field), it’s no different injury like a physical one say tearing ACL. After rehab, which for ACL is 9 months, he will be back this season. If you listened to the conversation, Ryan asked him and he said he’s ready to go when his number is called.
Bro body language is so telling like yu can tell it’s hard for him to talk about it but it takes hella courage for him to do so … you have to admire his strength fr sure ‼️
Andy Reid is the GOAT coach and is the only person who can talk sense into Mahomes when he gets injured, especially if the team is losing. He doesn't care about how long his hurt players will have to sit out he just wants them to be able to recover and play in the future. Miami and Cincinnati could learn a thing or two from Big Red...
Man RC and the guys are amazing examples of servant leaders. This show isn’t just a podcast about sports it’s a platform to understand and humanize athletes. Well done men.
It does humanized them but it also has the effect of letting listeners know they might not be alone and that all the fame and success doesn’t prevent or solve things. Episodes like this, Sean Taylor’s daughter, and even the RC apologizing to AB and Trent Richardson were ones where if I had heard 10-15 years ago I could have an example and perspective that might have saved me years of stumbling and stubbing my toes through personal growth
Whoever puts these podcast together should be applauded. Every person will benefit from this young mans candid testimony. Keep up the good work gentlemen
THANK YOU Pivot for giving CEH the platform he deserves. He’s gotten a lot of flack bc he was drafted in the first round from a championship college team and there’s always been high expectations for any running back coming out of the first round. He’s fought a lot of injuries and has had a terrible situation happen to him. He’s such a good dude, always out in the community, was there for the community when the parade got shot up even though we all know he was battling his own battles. He’s 1 of 1 and chiefs kingdom loves you Clyde no matter what happens!
I have always been a Clyde fan. Through the hate and the frustration (him fumbling in that Ravens game almost made me stop being a fan lol) but seriously - I love the guy. You can just see good in some people, and he's one of those people. Plus, I'm also a 5'7 running back, so I respect anyone that can make it to the NFL at our size 😂
Been a football fan for almost 50 years, born and raised in the KC area. You see these warriors on the field and it's easy to forget they are normal people and can experience issues just like the rest of us. After hearing Clyde speak about it, I can't imagine going through that. He's an amazing man and I wish nothing but the best for him. I'm glad he's getting the help he needed, and he's willing to speak about it to hopefully help others. Nothing but respect and love for CEH!!
60 year old grandmama from Georgia, here. 41 year long-suffering KC CHIEFS fan! “How ‘bout those Chiefs!” So proud that Andy is our coach. I’m watching 4 GOOD men in this video. You have blessed my day and Clyde, you’ve been in my prayers. Take care of yourself and come back when you’re ready. We will be here. Love to you all. Impressive video.
People need to hear these kind of stories...so many people suffer in silence and need to know its ok to get help and getting help isn’t a sign of weakness
I am a Chiefs fan. I have always like CEH as a baller. I did not really know his story, but now I appreciate him even more. Go CEH! Continue to take care of yourself! Your real fans love you!
This episode had me in tears, man. I was robbed at gunpoint at my first job at age 16 and then last summer car jacked in front of my own home. I thank God I am still here.
Andy Reid will more than likely go down as one of the most under appreciated HC’s ever. I genuinely feel like he’s never gotten his flowers. He’s won 1 COTY award….. he leads 2 different franchises in wins. He’s the only coach to go to 5 straight AFC Championships and NFC championships in a row. He’s a players coach through and through, he wants his players to be good men for their families, for themselves. There’s so many more stories outside of Clyde’s from chiefs players about him helping them as well. THANK YOU BIG RED
New favorite player. As a dad hearing him stop in the middle of a chaotic moment for anyone but a triggering one for him and safe others. Need more of him in this world.
Never knew he was dealing with this tragedy while playing that 2019 year. What a humble young man and to pay homage to his Step-up Dad and Father was a true testament of how BOTH men played an important part in molding Clyde into a great human Salute!!!
Love and prayers to CEH and his family. Proud of him for embracing his treatment and getting help. That is a major step for him. Thanks to the Chiefs team for they support to Clyde.
Yesterday I came across an article about Clyde and it told a little about Kelce being there for him. I saw this full interview on RUclips posted and wanted to watch about how this guy is and where he is at in therapy. But, what I got was a very powerful interview with a young man who was willing to open up about battling PTSD and what he has been going through and how Coach Reid and the rest of the Chiefs management and players are there with him. Thanks to Coach Reid Clyde is finally getting the real help he needs to deal with the fall out of the incident and the PTSD. Thank you to the Coach. And to Travis Kelce for being there for this guy so he had someone to talk to and to feel someone cared and for being someone he felt comfortable with. Clyde is lucky to be with the Chiefs because if it is true any other organization would not be there then he is in a place that will help him through this. And thank you to the guys here doing the interview. You are pretty special and I feel talking to you, while an interview, did some healing as well. I know Clyde will heal. His wife and family and his team are there. And when he is stronger he will be helping others.
This episode touched so many. Clyde thank you so much for sharing your story. Pivot, the care, concern and support you gave him during this interview was everything.
I'm the biggest Eagles fan and when we lost Andy to KC I was more than upset. On the field his coaching is amazing but off the field is where he helps young men like this succeed. Great to see him not only build a winning culture and win multiple SBs but how he truly cares about his players. Great to see this
Thanks for sharing your story. I have one too. I'm not a public figure so I don't have an audience, but I greatly appreciate those who have been through something traumatic, and have a platform, bringing it out into the open. We need more understanding and support out there for PTSD.
Thank you Mr. Edwards-Helaire for sharing your story. The Pivot team is right, you will change lives for those you might never see. But they are out on their own ledge and you will be the hand that helps pull them up.
As a chiefs fan and a CEH fan. I was just as happy/hopeful when the chiefs drafted him. To see what all he’s done while going through this battle is amazing. Clyde is a stand up human, class act. Take care of yourself Clyde. The world needs more humans like you.
I am praying for this brave young man. God can heal all manner of sickness Nothing is too hard. I am proud of him speaking up about his mental challenges.
Two words come to mind: Courage and Leader. Clyde is on a journey of discovering he is a multifaceted young man with a whole lot to share from his experience with those who will some how some way present themselves.❤
The amount of trauma others have no idea, the ledge is real. I'm so grateful that you're able to speak about your personal experience and the battles we all face, much props for speaking out!
Thank you Pivot Podcast for this wonderful interview, for Clyde to feel comfortable to share his experience, struggles and strengths! Loved Fred’s input about Clyde’s higher purpose. Definitely something for Clyde to think about and I hope he really does. His past does not define him!
This is one of my favorite pivot episodes yet. Clyde is an old soul, and incredible human being! This and the Michael Beasley episode have both changed my perspective on life and just shows how these men and women struggle with the same things as we all do. Rooting for Clyde both on and more importantly off the football field!
Clyde has been one of my favourite Chiefs for a while. The fact that this young man is studying nursing to help other people - when he could be focusing on just making money in the NFL - shows his character. Such a great dude.
I almost shed a tear hearing this mans story. I'm a die hard Eagles fan Andy Reid is one of the greatest coaches to ever do it. But he is undisputed when it comes to giving players a second chance or make sure his players have what they need outside of football to be great humans. If being stand up was a person it would be coach Reid🫡 God bless this kid with the strength to get through his hardship 🙏🏾
KC loves you CEH! Praying that you can eventually get the peace that you need to continue to thrive throughout life. Thank you for telling your story and just know by you sharing your journey, you’re helping others get through their traumas. Ryan, Fred and Channing thank you for giving athletes a space to be vulnerable and tell their stories ♥️
I admire Clyde for being so open and vulnerable. I want to thank him for speaking out. Also, thank you Pivot for giving him such a great platform for him to share his story.❤❤❤ Much love CEH!!❤❤❤
This was an emotional episode for me. I became aware of, and have followed closely, Clyde's wellness journey since he struggled to attend this year's training camp. As a wellness practitioner myself, I have wondered whether he's accessed therapies such as hypnosis and somatic energy release therapies. Both of those types of therapies work well to reduce, even resolve, PTSD conditions. I will continue to follow his journey, and hope he can find his way 'back to a helmet.' He's an amazing young man and I wish him the very, very best. ❤❤❤
Wow, I had no clue. This had me a little emotional at a couple of points. Let's go CEH, I'll be standing and shouting from my couch on your first carry back
A true conversation about real life is awesome to have. As a retired Canadian veteran, we often do not want to speak about these things. Best things for life I hope you get. Great talk.
As a gulf war Veteran and Cop, I’m so thankful for us they had treatment and help for PTSD I can’t imagine police before or Vietnam veterans with nothing
Amongst many powerful episodes brought to us by The Pivot, this was one of the most powerful. Thank you for showcasing CEH and for sharing his story. Continued success to all of you.
As a Chiefs fan, I've always cheered for CEH. As man, I always will. I knew his story but never knew the details. Growing up in the hood I understand more than most. Chiefs Kingdom got cha back CEH. Sometimes football is just a game. Get better.
KC loves our guy good brother Clyde. This is a great interview and I appreciate how you guys allowed him to be vulnerable and then treated that invitation with respect. I wish him the best in his journey and I hope our community can support him along the way. GO CHIEFS!
Thank you for your courage Clyde. During this time in our country mental health is still taboo. We're praying for you 🙏 Chiefs Kingdom loves you ❤️💛❤️💛
Man THIS show don't miss! I too suffer with PTSD. After listening to codes Clyde's backstory, he suffers with CPTSD. I hope his therapists have access to this show. There are layers to this and maybe even some CTE, which my Ex-baller husband (RIP) suffered from. I will add him to my prayers FO SHO🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾✝️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I consider myself a HUGE football fan and I didn’t know the extent of what Clyde went through. Just goes to remind me that although these guys are superhero’s to us as kids, they’re just regular guys. Great pod from the pivot cast!
God is sooo good!! the Pivot is way more than a podcast! thank you Clyde for having the courage to speak and share your story! God Bless you, your family & the Pivot! continue pivoting‼️💯
Back in 2015 I was robbed at gun point. Three dudes, 2 guns at my head. About a minute encounter with two guns pointed at my head. I’m thankful to be here! Sincerely
Thank you for sharing his story. I have a big brother who served in the military who suffers from ptsd. It's a real thing and it can be very scary at time's. Pivot keep up the good work.
I normally don’t comment but I just want to say thank you to the guys, watching these shows have really impacted and inspired to become the best version of myself and I love what the guys are doing are on the show changing stigmas and the culture keep it up🙌🏽🙏🏽
What an incredibly strong young man to be so open about this and share his story so that others can be saved. And the podcast hosts were so respectful. I am so glad I watched this. New subscriber!
Ooo wee!! This show right here!! I’m sitting here literally in tears. Freddie T, Ryan and Channing continue to bring these unique humans to life. God continue to bless this young man and keep his mind!💛🏈🖤
I am a retired ER nurse and had no idea how much PTSD I had until I walked out that door for last shift. 4 yrs later dreams are no longer violent-life is a journey. We can get through this every day
Awesome RB, even more impressive human. That day still stings, I know that something incredible happened that day and it was the incredible bravery you all showed. I want you to heal and know this place is better with you in it. Powerful episode Pivot crew, Thank you.
I wish only the best for CEH moving forward and am rooting to see him back on the field, but more importantly winning at life. I think I need a #25 jersey now.
What a great interview & great guy . Man has a pure heart & was raised well. Hope he has a great career & life & hopefully he’s at peace or finds peace
I was diagnosed with PTSD and it almost destroyed me life. It took over 10 years of my life from me and I'm still struggling with it. My psychiatrist recommended I start doing EMDR and it has helped me a lot. It's still something I'll have to always live with but at least I can see a path forward.
I just wanted to say that I see you. And that I am sorry you have to fight that fight with the PTSD symptoms. I am with you, over a decade now. And I wish it for no one. So, stay safe!
14 yrs myself... Crazily enough I'm also fighting cancer now which caused my body to stop being able to process carbohydrates. I had to remove all sugars from my diet for 90 days because of my body's insulin response. Within two weeks the PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression started to lift. I'm not saying that I don't still feel those things, but it's just not as overwhelming as it used to seem. It is hard as hell to stop sugar but so worth it when you feel those persistent symptoms begin to ease up. God Bless you both on your journey!!!
PTSD is real, and it's a monster, a monster that can attack you any time. Keep fighting, keep taking care of yourself, and thank you for being such a good person.
Sooo…. I’m a vet. I understand and appreciate PTSD. I heard about Clyde and his PTSD and went pfffffffft. I didn’t know this story. I knew as a Chiefs fan what the organization invested. What Clyde’s ability was watching him his rookie year. Since Clyde’s rookie year all I knew was that Clyde has been injured or otherwise unable to play and certainly not to the ability we had seen.Clyde has been a disappointment, as a fan. Seeing this conversation take place I don’t care about football. I am proud that the Chiefs organization has, apparently made the decision that the person is more important than the game. Best of luck to Clyde in his life whether it is with or without football. I’m not a praying person but I will pray for Clyde’s peace!!!
I love the willingness for men to step over the aversion to being vulnerable and talk openly and honestly to men. Conversations initiate the healing process. Regardless of how long it takes.
Clyde I have so much respect for you. Is someone that went through someone actually dying in my hands I still understand the PTSD part of it. But to listen to you talk how you overcome it in bits and pieces is amazing. I'm a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan since I was nine I'm 49 now. You are a testament truly kind and types of people the Chiefs Kingdom brings in. Because you give a s***. Not to mention you are one badass running back.... Love you brother I pray for the best of the future for you because you own it
I’ve been crying the entire time. This man is an Angel. Your message and your selflessness is admirable. Blessings to you and your family. You are an amazing man ❤
Excellent interview. CEH has great courage to share his struggles in mental health. Was not surprised to learn of his relationships with his coach, Andy Reid, and with Travis Kelce. When Chiefs players say they are a family, don't doubt them. 🤗
Have been a fan of Clyde since LSU. I was saddened when I heard he was going through mental health issues; everything he’s gone through I’m glad he’s pushing
Powerful episode!! ❤ Thank you for bringing PTSD into the light. This episode will help so many people. There are amazing trauma therapies available that are helping so many people with PTSD (myself included). I take EMDR therapy and it has been a saving Grace in my life. 🎉 I wish you joy and happiness. ❤
😢 wow I’m at a loss for words right now, because this episode of this podcast is amazing. I am a 20 year retired military veteran and I have struggled with PTSD since I returned from Iraq in 2009. I never took time for myself to heal and I keep looking for ways to help others. Like him I have struggled with thoughts of suicide and wanted to end my life. I’m not healed and I’m in therapy now but I still fall from time to time. My wife and kids served as my backbone and support throughout this process but I now realize that I have been a burden on them and it has really damaged my family. This has truly been a God sent message for me and I just want to say thank you! I know that feeling of putting on my helmet and being more for my brothers in arms than I have ever been for myself. I’m still searching for the light at the end of the tunnel to get out of this dark place for good and finally live and not just survive! Much love and respect to all of you guys.
29:23: So many emotions crept back at this point in the interview.. I pray for GBC's continued healing. I thank him for being vulnerable enough to share this story. It will hit others, too. For others on the ledge, hopefully this story will interject the way his older brother did. It's this element of these Pivot podcasts that drew me in the first place. Job well done gents. 👏🏾 ❤
I’ve been watching the Pivot from the jump and man Fred you hit a home run with that great rebuttal to his story! Great job my 💐 to the Pivot and CEH God bless you all!
Hey CEH, life long chiefs fan, and i salute u brother. Hats off. Great interview and u are genuinely a good person. Proud to have u on the team and cant wait to see u back on the field bro
Speaking as the mother of a combat medic, I haven't seen what he saw and I have been through anything near that horrific. But I did see my son when he came home. He's only been married a couple of months when he was called to duty. He went through a lot. As I said before I did not see what he went through and I can't even imagine it. But I saw the aftermath. I was astonished when he came home to find out he had a purple heart which of course he never told me about. He lied to me and he told me he was not in combat that he was kind of a backup person. It's amazing what your children will tell you when they don't want you to know what they're going through. I wonder if he'd have been a little more open with me and talk more with me and his wife he might not have been in so much pain. He came home with a traumatic brain injury, PTSD and debilitating headaches. As well as back pain and ankle strain. He's doing much better now and he has an amazing wife who never back down who never turned her back who never left. She took on the US Army and the veteran to get in the aid he needed. We have so many wonderful people in our military and it suddenly to my soul to realize that my countrymen have elected someone who has no respect for those who give everything for us.
I just want the absolute best for this man. Hearing him speak about support from Coach Reid, Travis Kelce, Toney and Veach. Making sure he knows that he is valued even when he is struggeling. That is a team to be proud of.
And for Stephen A. Smith for always mentioning him when he talks chiefs.

I admire Clyde for being so open and vulnerable. I want to thank him for speaking out. Also, thank you Pivot for giving him such a great platform for him to share his story.❤❤❤ Much love CEH!!❤❤❤
Much respect Freddie T; insightful dialogue that man may vey well be an angel walking amongst us.
Great episode fellas as A Marine I appreciate this . Troops have a lot of silent battles that aren’t spoken
Praying for this young Brotha and all the Brothas out here who's going through something
Great talk.
Prayers for him that God grants him a peace that surpasses all understanding in his mind, body and spirit. Blessings to him and The Pivot.❤🙏🏾
In Jesus Name. 🙏🏾❤️
GO CHIEFS!
I’ve met him several times and he is a sweet and kind. Love his smile!
The Story of You Never Know What Somebody Is Really Going Through. So Happy For You CEH
Man you all bring it every time! God Bless Clyde on his journey! His sharing his story is helping others share their stories. 🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing. This team in my opinion is something special and “Good Brother Clyde” is just one example of what makes this team special.
God is sooo good!! the Pivot is way more than a podcast! thank you Clyde for having the courage to speak and share your story! God Bless you, your family & the Pivot! continue pivoting‼️💯
Outstanding interview I suffer with deep depression. This young man is here for a reason. Continued success to all involved. God bless you all.
This is an amazing discussion. Frank and honest words regarding mental health challenges and strategies...very brave and so appreciated!!
This is really ministering to me in many ways. Thank you all. You all are a Blessing. This young man is very special.💕
I normally don’t comment but I just want to say thank you to the guys, watching these shows have really impacted and inspired to become the best version of myself and I love what the guys are doing are on the show changing stigmas and the culture keep it up🙌🏽🙏🏽
What an incredible angel and football player. Thank you guys for an amazingly inspiring conversation. 🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💕
This is probably one of my favorite interviews The Pivot has done. Salute to CEH 💪🏾
Got one. I wear it with pride.
I’ve gotten PTSD from being shot and the most uncomfortable thing about it is how it comes in waves and so unpredictable…
Stalked, punched, and strangled 25 years ago. Same...waves. They aren't so big now, or so often, but they still come.
That introspective question from Freddie T was spot on. I pray this Good Brother continues to find peace and happiness. 🙏🏽
What a great interview & great guy . Man has a pure heart & was raised well. Hope he has a great career & life & hopefully he’s at peace or finds peace
Clyde is eloquent, and knows how to clearly captivate his audience. Massive respect to him for sharing his story.
Sending prayers and love your way. Keep going
@@jjakfamilygod bless you fam I will keep you in my prayers
🙏🏾
Another amazing episode!!! Thank you all so much!!! And a special thank you to Clyde for his transparency!!! I’m forever a fan of him!!! God Bless!!!
Love you brother I pray for the best of the future for you because you own it
Freddy T asked Clyde a Hall of Fame question in if Clyde looked inside of myself that hit me hard. This was powerful…
I loved this interview. This young man has a calling on his life. Wishing him peace, blessings and positive vibes as he journeys through life.
I’ve been crying the entire time. This man is an Angel. Your message and your selflessness is admirable. Blessings to you and your family. You are an amazing man ❤
Such a great interview wihh the a remarkable young man. I’m so glad he has found his voice. I am really hoping he can find peace. He deserves it!
I went through the exact same thing in college also. Praying for him🙏🏽🙏🏽
29:23: So many emotions crept back at this point in the interview.. I pray for GBC's continued healing. I thank him for being vulnerable enough to share this story. It will hit others, too. For others on the ledge, hopefully this story will interject the way his older brother did. It's this element of these Pivot podcasts that drew me in the first place. Job well done gents. 👏🏾 ❤
I’m thankful for this podcast and want only the best for Clyde.
I had no idea why he wasn’t playing. I hope he finds peace and plays again if he wants to.
I’ve been watching the Pivot from the jump and man Fred you hit a home run with that great rebuttal to his story! Great job my 💐 to the Pivot and CEH God bless you all!
wow this was so powerful. Thank you for having this conversation.
Amen! I hope your son and his wife are doing better than ok.
