I never write comments but I had to say this. This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Just the energy, the entertainment, and FOOTBALL. If the schedules work out, you have to bring him back
Bring him back today if I gotta hear ulbrich say he's gonna take another hard look at everything it's gonna kill me lol but to his credit he got thrown in there with no experience
RC, PLEASE, PLEASE, my brother...be an advocate for this man getting another coaching job! As a JETS fan, I had the most fun during the seasons he was our coach. I know several fans that feel the same way and would love for him to come back home. I like Brich as the interim right now but Rex needs to be strongly considered. We would welcome him back with open arms! Rex is the Man! Love him!
Hated facing the jets under Rex. They played SUCH GOOD DEFENSE. My worst memory for years as a chargers fan was a wide right field goal by Nate Kaeding smh…. That was before Marlon McCree fumbled a game ending interception by trying to be a hero running it back before getting stripped and giving the ball back to guess who… TOM BRADY.
Man those were great years - beat Rivers, Manning, Brady in their own homes on the road in the play-offs, that team had so many characters and personalities, shame they never went all the way, hearing Bart Scott's CAN'T WAIT was such a great moment
Rex is a Jet....never stoped being a Jet....he was not not perfect but who is, his teams would run through a wall for him...I would love for him to come back to the Jets with an above average QB... and OC, D line and O line and watch him cook. This interview exemplifies why players love to play for this man you cant teach being relatable...you can't teach how to inspire men...its a gift. Great Job on this interview!
And his players said Rex makes it fun to play. I forget what Jet said it. It was the veteran LB or DE who said it and he came from Miami Dolphins and retired as a Jet. Sorry I can't think of his name. Someone help me in the comments!!🏈
Rex's Dad was also a massive hero of mine. He gave me lots of tickets & the golden moment of sitting across the table from the 85 Bears at dinner with Rex's elder brother, James, may he continue resting in peace. Great job, cousin. Your Dad's legacy shines thru Seth.
I meet him in Louisville Kentucky at a Costco when he was living on a house farm in Kentucky he came in and went through my line and he was very kind soul and then it hit me when I looked his hand and he had a jets Super Bowl III ring on the left hand and ‘86 Bears SBXX on his right hand. I was like omg this is the legend Buddy Ryan. What an honor
@@namesfain Great memory, @namesfain. Thank you for sharing it. He was as real and kind as they come, and a brilliant football mind that has passed through to his twin sons and grandson, Seth. Hopefully there will be another opportunity for that 3rd-generation honor to become theirs.
Y’all made Coach so comfortable, he would’ve told y’all ANYTHING. Your guests recognize the difference from an interview & a conversation. Ryan, you will ALWAYS hit a REAL FATHER’s heart when you asks about their children. Real parents want better for our children. Great job 3 Headed Monsters (minus Fred today) 💯🙏🏾😜👊🏾
After the success and culture change Dan Campbell brought to my Lions, idk how a struggling franchise doesn’t coordinate a hire with him if he can bring a good OC/DC. The guy knows D don’t get me wrong, but his biggest strengths are obviously his motivational ability, his understanding of the league and its players and his football IQ.
This man is one of the big reasons i became a defensive coordinator myself. I love how he treats his players and how they reciprocate him. "I want what you got uncle Frank" - T.I. (American Gangster)
I have a different respect for Rex after watching this podcast, he’s about as legit of a human as it gets… no sugarcoating and will tell you straight to your face
Am I the only one that getting john Madden vibes from Rex? I find joy in watching men telling looking back at their lives and laughing at the lessons that they learned. Rex is a guy that loves football, people and LIFE
Rex has always been my favorite coach as a jets fan... please bring him back... and give him the time to build the jets back up organically...not many better people than him... something special specifically with him and his players and also the jets fans...we gotta believe again and I'll always have faith in coach Ryan
Man this is the most AMAZING interview i heard in a long time, Rex you really got me man when you talked about ya son and dad i love it REX needs another chance he is so amazing thank you PIVOT for this!! BRING REX BACK TO THE GAME HE DESERVES IT!!!
Coach called out Jarret Johnson. I’ve met him several times, and he’s absolutely amazing. My birthplace and current resident city is his hometown now. So cool! Roll Tide Roll!!!
the way he talked about his dad (esp the respect at the end saying i hope my kid thinks im better, but i doubt it" got me a lil emotional too having lost a father who i wanted to be and was best friends with.) love Rex. if he really wants to come back to the Jets I; for one, welcome him.
This is just another amazing piece by you guys. The pivot is hands down the best podcast out there. The dynamic you three guys have together is really awesome. I love the vulnerability you guys show and also bring out of your guest. I’m just an average guy that lives in Tennessee and loves sports . But I just want you guys to know that your show is amazing. Thanks for the laughs and all the great moments you share! Go VOLS!!
Coach Ryan exudes passion and love for the game! Coach took dyslexia and made it make him one of the Greatest the Defensive minds in NFL history. The Titans, Cowboy's, the Browns, Raiders, the Giants, and the Panthers would be fool to not pick up the phone and call him!
That is awesome. Rex Ryan. i hear him talk all day and play even if I'm not good.. im good to knock that wall for him.. Teammates mentally.. is golden to me
He's right about that "Spartan" package. I barely played but was the key receiver in the "Shake Em In" package, 30+ years ago and still remember it. Thanks, coaches
This is why I love sports pods ran by former players. You are able to extract the realness out of coaches and players alike, speaking their language and getting them so comfortable to really just unwind and be vulnerable. This is what sports media cannot do; humanize the people and personalities behind the business, fanfare, and high production of the league. Much respect 🫡
First time I've checked this pod out because I like Rex, and I have to say, you have at least twice as many built in commercials as I'm used to seeing on a pod. I only see the built in ads so I'm not counting YT's ads. It's a good pod otherwise but it feels like there are a lot of "here's our sponsor(s)" breaks in the conversation, which was a real good one to be honest.
Dang coach, you had me getting a little emotional. I would have loved to play for a coach like this, to me his one of the greatest coaches of all time.
Saw the font.... Read the name... Immediately clicked play and let it ride. Walking talking piece of history. His dad is a defensive architect and his brother was our DC at a bad time. If ever I could see a jets game when he was a coach I watched, they always played tough and gave his division hell. I was in college when ESPN ran a loop of him driving off in that big ass truck with flags. I'll never forget that and praise him when he gets on Zimmer ass WEEKLY 😂 thank you for all you do coach. Always stands up for his players 💯
I'm going to say this, thanks. You guys have the best sports show ever. I mean that because it's like a conversation not an interview. Much Love to the 3 of you guys.
R.C. bro, ya have the best REAL show! You are the best! SOME1 pls let Rex coach a team with good players! He's Superbowl material. R.C. you are the funniest, most truthful, real man. Rex you are the man!
Rex had the greatest hard knocks season ever. He’s a great entertainer. Also did some special things with the Jets, not an easy task to go to back to back AFC titles in the Brady era
Definitely one of the dopest episodes to date. Rex is the SHIT!!....If he wasn't living his best life behind a microphone, I would've called him up to DC or HC if I were a GM somewhere.
Great Great interview. As a Ravens fan we have had some excellent defenses. I have always felt that Rex is the greatest d coordinator of all time. I would love for him to come back. When Billick left I wanted Rex as head coach. Much respect
Man I love this interview, hated Rex as a Dolphin fan but man I love the passion he bring to the game. What amazing coach, I truly hope we see him coach again, how awesome would it be to see him coach with his son.
Enjoy ALL The Pivot episodes… I got a few I’d call favorites …but this one was pretty damn good. I think the Fatherly and Generational aspect of this Episode really hit for me . Rex is real one👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽

I could listen to Rex talk all day
Istg I love this guy yoo
And you'd still never hear him mention a thing about his stint in Buffalo
Probably my favorite episode yet. Not even a Jets or Ravens fan, but Rex is a real one.
This guy is as real and honest as someone can be!!! Great interview
Love Rex as a coach. Hope he gets another opportunity in the league.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could def use him
He's not Dick Vermeil
I do too, but we have softer mental players now and he couldn't connect with these girls today
😂😂😂😂@@franklinbrandon5283
He could easily be in NY
Shout out to Rex Ryan for admitting a disability in front of younger men. That was solid! ❤
@9Nye He admitted a weakness as an elder. Thats not common especially due to ego.
Damn, Coach got me when he started crying about his dad. Great interview fellas.
Yep.. me too.
Same
Same, nothing more beautiful than a father's love for his son
It’s was hard not to tear up. Wholesome shit right there
Glad I watched it alone 😅
I never write comments but I had to say this. This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Just the energy, the entertainment, and FOOTBALL. If the schedules work out, you have to bring him back
Rex def salivating at the opportunity with the jets rn.
P.S. most of us want you back big dog.
He’s gonna have to have a superior offensive coordinator a beautiful system
I concur
I miss this man!
Bring him back today if I gotta hear ulbrich say he's gonna take another hard look at everything it's gonna kill me lol but to his credit he got thrown in there with no experience
Big facts being back Rex !

@@philipthomas3503 Yessir!
I think he’s said he’s done with coaching unless it’s a situation he couldn’t pass.
@fullbackdive41 didn't he just say he'd coach in "a New York minute?"
When Rex was talking about his son looking at him the way Rex looked at his dad, that hit me right in the feels
Rex is hilarious AF. 😂😭🤣. This has been on of the best Pivots!
Rex made football fun to watch when he coached. His Monday night football games with the jets were always entertaining
His personality is awesome and he is funny
I thought I was the only one he made me love jets football Istg
And his players said Rex makes it fun to play. I forget what Jet said it. It was the veteran LB or DE who said it and he came from Miami Dolphins and retired as a Jet. Sorry I can't think of his name. Someone help me in the comments!!🏈
It's a shame this man isn't coaching. NFL ought to be ashamed of themselves. Great interview!!!
Man the Pivot interviews and candid discussions ALWAYS hits different. 👏 Pivot Team 🔥

Rex Ryan is super down to earth. Someone needs to hire him he's special.
This one of the best interviews yall done. Real talk, great humor, super realism and then hitting the emotions at the end. Damn that was crazy
Big fan of Coach Ryan, hopefully an organization will give him an opportunity to lead again!
Come home to the jets !
Pats baby go to the other side
This man is one of the big reasons i became a defensive coordinator myself. I love how he treats his players and how they reciprocate him. "I want what you got uncle Frank" - T.I. (American Gangster)
Wow. This is 100% the video I least expected to ever be my favorite, but it's definitely up there. Rex seems like an amazing person to be around
I have a different respect for Rex after watching this podcast, he’s about as legit of a human as it gets… no sugarcoating and will tell you straight to your face
Same!
Man Rex is the man! He is the real deal. He’s authentic, and that’s what makes him the best.
Rex Ryan was and still is a great person and a great head coach..
Buddy will have a special place in my heart as a Bears fan, the Ryan’s are a special football family. Great interview as always Pivot.
Am I the only one that getting john Madden vibes from Rex? I find joy in watching men telling looking back at their lives and laughing at the lessons that they learned. Rex is a guy that loves football, people and LIFE
One of the best interviews I've seen in a while. Rex seems to be as authentic as they come. Hope he gets another chance to coach!
This show is coming. Rex Ryan needs to be coaching again. He is a great coach and leader of men
Rex is a national treasure
DAMN!!!!!! REX CRIED 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥The Pivot is The Best FKN! Podcast EVER ✌️✌️✌️✌️
This was one of the best episodes you guys have had hands down!
Rex had the Jets looking like the Steelers on defense, him and Revis compliment each other perfectly.
Rex makes you want to run a damn wall just for him. Just look at the fire that RC & Chan had in their eyes during the interview.
Yeah man..
Rex may have never won a ring but he definitely had by far the best Hard Knocks season ever.
The Jets almost died during that summer 🐐🤣🤣
My favorite modern Coach. I was a Big Fan of his Dad. Dolphins need to see this podcast
Its always a good pod when you get the coaches and players together hear all the good tough football stories
Coach we need you back as a Head Coach!!
Buddy Ryan was the Man
Rex has always been my favorite coach as a jets fan... please bring him back... and give him the time to build the jets back up organically...not many better people than him... something special specifically with him and his players and also the jets fans...we gotta believe again and I'll always have faith in coach Ryan

yes it was great!
Great interview man wow. Someone please give Rex a call. He deserves to be coaching back in this league
I'm 52 and just found out I'm autistic. It explained a lot of things. It was cool.
As a man that enjoys a woman's feet don't be embarrassed coach we support you
Lol
Coach called out Jarret Johnson. I’ve met him several times, and he’s absolutely amazing. My birthplace and current resident city is his hometown now. So cool! Roll Tide Roll!!!
I still remember watching Hard Knocks with the Jets. That season legitimately made Rex my favorite coach. Still a fan today👌🏾.
Let’s go get a snack 😂😂
This Might be my favorite episode. Rex is a hell of a human.
the way he talked about his dad (esp the respect at the end saying i hope my kid thinks im better, but i doubt it" got me a lil emotional too having lost a father who i wanted to be and was best friends with.)

Those aren’t his lol
Fake ones for tv
Would love to have Rex on the Bears coaching staff somewhere, we need that type of energy.
Shed a tear on this one. Thank you coach
This has to be one of the best interviews yall did.
I wished Rex Ryan would’ve stayed in Baltimore. I like Harbaugh but Rex would’ve been the perfect fit
I agree
Especially with the personnel they have now 🤯
Perfect fit is who they have
Dang coach, you had me getting a little emotional. I would have loved to play for a coach like this, to me his one of the greatest coaches of all time.
Pivot is by far my favorite podcast! RC knows how to ask the right questions at the right time! 👏🏽👏🏽
Communications degree!

This was a great interview! The laughs, the seriousness everything❤
This was such a great interview. Rex is such an amazing human being. Keep being a light to others coach!
I grew up in Uniondale, LI one block from Hofstra University C dorm and the Jets Spring training camp...great memories!
Give him a chance. He’s better than a lot of other coaches currently coaching.
Rex Ryan looks amazing. I’d still run through a fucking wall for him. He ain’t lost it one bit in those 8 years he’s been out.
As a Teen growing up Rex was Awesome to watch as the coach for the jets

I loved this interview man I’m just now knowing Rex Ryan and love his aura
Rex had the greatest hard knocks season ever. He’s a great entertainer. Also did some special things with the Jets, not an easy task to go to back to back AFC titles in the Brady era
