Y'know, rewatching this, I kinda feel like we're going to get some older gen mechanics returning, and that Arkveld is a origin species to Rey Dau. Given how borked evolution is in the Monster Hunter universe, the "chains" shortening down to the more blade extensions on Rey Dau's wings being done to give way to longer/more mobile horns to more accurately aim the stored/channeled lightning _is_ a reasonable evolution, especially when you look at the older origin species like Gureadomuso to Gravios

I’m actually really curious about the story for the first time ever since it’s not just “you are the new hunter go do your job” The amount of lore I feel like we are about to get is much needed. I’m so excited to get lost in this game. 5 more months, we are almost there.

If this game is just as good as World is. They might do more DLCs for it rather than the 1 that they did for World, but we shall see. I'm just super hyped for this and I really do hope we see a lot more of the old cast of monsters get a HD remaster.
