In this tutorial you will learn how to crochet the Raspberry Stitch. This stitch is created by alternating regular and front post single crochets and it is a two row repeat pattern. The resulting fabric is pretty dense and it does have a nice texture and a distinctive look to it. I would rate this stitch as intermediate due to the use of front post stitches, but I encourage beginners to give it a try!
For this tutorial, I used a medium weight (4) cotton yarn with a 5mm hook.

What types of things would be good to make with this stitch?

Wash cloths, towels, pot holders, place mats. Would probably work well for earwarmers since the texture is so dense that it might keep your ears nice and toasty if used with warmer/thicker types of yarn.
