32 hourglass blocks and 31 nine patch blocks

I started hand knitting socks in 2010 and primarily all I wear. If you want to wear your Birkenstocks, then you do you! I have a couple pair of Smart Wool socks that were gifted to me, but my sock drawer is full of hand knit socks.
Thank you for “dusting off your sewing machine” and doing some great therapy. Mine has been idle since the middle of October other than serging the edge of a piece of Aida.

I admire how you put yourself out there and how you do alot of things on the fly so we can see your thought processes as you work through problem solving and decision making. This is a very valuable skill. I agree on the cycling of craft projects as one can get burnt out. You do you and I'll still watch because I enjoy seeing your projects no matter what they are. Liz of course show off your socks with Birkenstocks, we do it all winter here in Saskatchewan, even before Birkenstocks…in our regular old sandals…lolol…when it comes to crafting, creating or tutorials, we always enjoy watching what your working on…you may have lead some of us down a rabbit hole with learning to knit but thats okay…lolo…now when you have time a tutorial on your newest knitting a plain vanilla sock would be wonderful lolo…I say this because you really are amazing at tutorials, you show visually what we can accomplish……have a great week….

I can relate to losing my creative mojo or feeling more inspiration than aspiration for any given passion at any given time. It’s happened with cross stitch, quilting, and even reading. Sometimes a pause or a step away is good for your brain. Don’t worry your mojo will return.

You continue to share what you love. If people don’t like it they can move on. I did the same thing, only opposite. I would quilt, quilt, quilt, every day, every retreat. When I got back to xstitch I made a complete jump away from quilting and back to stitching. I still quilt most days, but my main interest now is stitching, two xstitch retreats already planned for 2024! And I’m trying to teach myself to knit! Cut yourself some slack, you’re a joy to watch!

I love seeing all your different projects. I, too, enjoy a multitude of different crafts, so it's nice to see someone (you) here doing the same! I'm more into knitting and English paper piecing at the moment, but in a few months, that may all change 😂 My advice to you is that you keep doing what you love. I will definitely carry on looking forward to your next video to see what you're doing.
