You need to combine AT LEAST four singers WITH DIFFERENT RANGES in order to be able to sing closest to Dimash. FACT. And this is nothing.....hardly even a walk in the park for Dimash.
Follow him on The Singer 2017 and then his guest appearances in 2018 where he does a cover of Hello and then 2019 for a Queen medley before diving into his other performances. He is THE BEST!
This is a few years old. He can't do a new performance of this because 'the powers that be' over the original came down with copyright hammers. He would be able to go even higher now.

I know lots of people like The Singer version of SOS 2017 but imo his performance of SOS at Slavic Bazaar in 2018 is so much better because he had developed more of his lower registers. I know some people like The Singer version, so why not do both? Then you can see his amazing progress a year later at Slavic Bazaar. Thanks for your reaction. This was easy for Dimash. His range today (this was 3 1/2 years ago) is A1 to D8 (that we know of!) This is the one and only performance of Dimash doing this song because Vitas forbade him ever performing it again. I know Dimash did 3 key changes and Vitas only did 1 (and Dimash sounded loads better) maybe that’s the reason? Anyway, it’s a shame we will never get to see Dimash perform it again, since he’s so much better, than he was 3 1/2 years ago and it would be interesting to see what he would have done with the song. Dimash is THE best vocalist of ALL time, and we ‘dears’ (that’s what Dimash calls his fans), will follow you along on your journey should you decide to carry on reacting to Dimash! i have subscribed!
First of all....that was a great reaction and thank you. Also, please don't mind the haters as you will get them once in a while ( I call it jealousy ). As you continue, you will have all the Dears ( this is what Dimash calls his fans because he considers us part of his extended family) coming to your channel and guiding you through his songs and there are a lot of them. Dimash started his singing lessons at the age of 5 and has continued to this day practicing at least 3 hours a day with a voice teacher. On this show Dimash was 22 years old and is now 26 as of May 24, 2020. Dimash is a force to be reckoned with on stage but, off stage he is the most humble and kind person who also wants Peace in the world. I do hope you will continue this journey and the Dears will be with you. I have been a Dear since 2017 and listen to him everyday. I am sure the Dears will give you much more information for Dimash in the coming reactions. The show Dimash was on with this song is called I am Singer from China and Dimash was brought in as a wild card and they thought maybe he would be there for only 2 songs. He came in second place and the audience are the judges and as you could see the people in the back room ( established singers there to compete against each other ) had never heard him sing and they were stunned. Please allow me to welcome you to the world of DIMASH. Classically trained since he was 5 years old. He is 26 years old now. He started his training with piano lessons and advanced to voice lessons. He has 2 music degrees,a Master's degree and will start his Doctorate degree this year. He didn't accept a Tenor position with the Astana Opera House, instead opted to bring his career singing pop-opera, crossover, folk,pop songs. Dimash has a 6 octave range and has mastery and full control of all his ranges from the vocal fry to a D8. Do enjoy his immense talent.

He has university degrees in classical and contemporary (pop/jazz) singing and a Master's degree in composition. He is starting a PhD program and wants to teach in the future. He practises 3 hours a day with a vocal coach. He trains his breath control swimming underwater. Dimash has extended his vocal range to 7 octaves (from the first octave with growling and vocal fry to D8) - from baritone to soprano. He sings opera, pop, jazz, rock, folk equally well, often mixing styles in the same song. His preferred style is classical crossover.
A1 to D8 is actually 6 octaves 5 semitones....not 7 octaves as some people claimed. Dimash, his parents and his team HAS NEVER, EVER claim how many octaves he has.

There is something with the editing that makes it sound like it is faltering, but it did not. I see that you have already reacted to SOS. That was an easy exercise for Dimash. And even SOS, while being a masterpiece in itself, is not his most impressive performance; it is the one that catapulted him to fame in China over night, and rightfully so. Wait until you have seen Sinful Passion, probably his most impressive performance with countless different vocal timbres, styles, an astonishing central Asian technique and a phrase that he held for 23 seconds on one breath and that included a 80's rock star belt, a slide to crazy high mix, a keychange, and RnB-type runs and riffs. You won't ever be prepared for Sinful Passion even after watching SOS.
And..... welcome to Dimash... yes, the best in the world. This was in 2017. You should see what he can do now that he has had more time to practice! Try first a 2018 performance called, Sinful Passion from New Wave. It is also in Russian but has English subtitles. He sings in many languages and different styles. You have no idea the wonderful ride you are going to take if you continue to react to Dimash. Trust me, you want to do Dimash. We see Dimash, we click... all over the world.

Anyone who is familiar with Dimash knows that those last notes were not out of his range. But to explain why it got quieter (at least based on what I read) the sound engineer had to keep adjusting the sound throughout the competition because Dimash’s voice was sometimes too loud and powerful. This was near the beginning of the competition so it took them a while to get it right.
I guess that makes sense...it was clear that he wasn't struggling, but it just seemed a little off how it got quieter...I just figured he was reaching his peak, but this makes sense considering he was holding the mic kind of close so I can see it
I think you will enjoy few of his talent “switching registers, mixing genres and dynamics” ♥️ enjoy the ride. 20yrs of training and ongoing. Earned his masters degree in music, defended his thesis with 100% score. He is on his way on his PhD in composition 🤗 Dimash 👌 talent and hardwork! *i think the part where his voice was low was when the video was focused the other room with the contestants and the audio source was their tv screen.
Loved your response, thank you! As you guessed, his training is superb (he still practices 3 hrs./day.) Started at 5 when his piano teacher noticed that he has perfect pitch. Both mom and dad are performers, mom sings opera, so he had serious training from then on. By now he has 2 masters in voice, (one in classical and one in contemporary) plus a masters in composition that he completed earlier this year. He's now in a PhD program for his doctorate in composition. He was offered a position with an opera company, but his passion is fusion, and that's where he's focused his career. In the performance you just viewed, he was 22. He's now 26.
Try Olimpico for his full operatic skill... this is just a bit of fun for him. Not using his serious vocal skill. We DO understand BTW!! Whatever you do KEEP GOING on a Dimash journey! :)
Subjective about tone/ voice but not about skill. If you care to check out his few other performances your doubts will seem a bit premature. Never the less nice reaction it was
Please react to SOS from the same competition. This is not even close to his highest. However, for me, some of his most beautiful songs are not those that have vocal extremes. His voice is just so beautiful and he is so emotional and expressive, no matter in which of his voices or what range he sings.
Forget SOS and leave it for later. React to Sinful Passion instead, not because that performance is better than others but it does have many aspects a musician and singer like you will appreciate.

Unfortunately, Vitas prohibit Dimash to sing his song (Opera 2). Pure jealousy. Dimash simply went 3 octaves higher than he did.

Please allow me to welcome you to the world of DIMASH. Classically trained since he was 5 years old. He is 26 years old now. He started his training with piano lessons and advanced to voice lessons. He has 2 music degrees,a Master's degree and will start his Doctorate degree this year. He didn't accept a Tenor position with the Astana Opera House, instead opted to bring his career singing pop-opera, crossover, folk,pop songs.
Dimash has a 6 octave range and has mastery and full control of all his ranges from the vocal fry to a D8. Do enjoy his immense talent.

I'm glad you described how difficult some of these techniques are. I enjoyed your reaction. I'd like to recommend "Sinful Passion" which showcases some of his stylistic ethnic/cultural background. It is amazing.
And NOW you know why so many of us from around the world say that Dimash is the BEST singer we've ever heard and the BEST vocalist in the world :-) He was only 22 yrs. old doing Opera 2. He's now 26 and better than ever. And as others will tell you, you have just begun to appreciate Dimash's talents.! Dimash has had vocal training since he was 5. He has university degrees in classical and contemporary (pop/jazz) singing and a Master's degree in composition. He is starting a PhD program and wants to teach in the future. He practises 3 hours a day with a vocal coach. He trains his breath control swimming underwater. Dimash has extended his vocal range to 7 octaves (from the first octave with growling and vocal fry to D8) - from baritone to soprano. He sings opera, pop, jazz, rock, folk equally well, often mixing styles in the same song. His preferred style is classical crossover.
A1 to D8 is actually 6 octaves 5 semitones....not 7 octaves as some people claimed. Dimash, his parents and his team HAS NEVER, EVER claim how many octaves he has.

I am glad you were introduced to Dimash. On the 4th time up, I have heard the original, where his voice did not weaken at all. There is something with the editing that makes it sound like it is faltering, but it did not.

Zhubanov University in Aktobe He began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music. That was an easy exercise for Dimash. And even SOS, while being a masterpiece in itself, is not his most impressive performance; it is the one that catapulted him to fame in China over night, and rightfully so.
Wait until you have seen Sinful Passion, probably his most impressive performance with countless different vocal timbres, styles, an astonishing central Asian technique and a phrase that he held for 23 seconds on one breath and that included a 80's rock star belt, a slide to crazy high mix, a keychange, and RnB-type runs and riffs. You won't ever be prepared for Sinful Passion even after watching SOS.

Try first a 2018 performance called, Sinful Passion from New Wave. It is also in Russian but has English subtitles. He sings in many languages and different styles. You have no idea the wonderful ride you are going to take if you continue to react to Dimash. Trust me, you want to do Dimash. We see Dimash, we click... all over the world.

Anyone who is familiar with Dimash knows that those last notes were not out of his range. But to explain why it got quieter (at least based on what I read) the sound engineer had to keep adjusting the sound throughout the competition because Dimash’s voice was sometimes too loud and powerful. This was near the beginning of the competition so it took them a while to get it right.
I guess that makes sense...it was clear that he wasn't struggling, but it just seemed a little off how it got quieter...I just figured he was reaching his peak, but this makes sense considering he was holding the mic kind of close so I can see it
As you listen to him sing more, you'll know this was nowhere near his peak high...which is off the piano keyboard.

Loved your response, thank you! As you guessed, his training is superb (he still practices 3 hrs./day.) Started at 5 when his piano teacher noticed that he has perfect pitch. Both mom and dad are performers, mom sings opera, so he had serious training from then on. By now he has 2 masters in voice, (one in classical and one in contemporary) plus a masters in composition that he completed earlier this year. He's now in a PhD program for his doctorate in composition. He was offered a position with an opera company, but his passion is fusion, and that's where he's focused his career. In the performance you just viewed, he was 22. He's now 26.

Subjective about tone/ voice but not about skill. If you care to check out his few other performances your doubts will seem a bit premature. Never the less nice reaction it was
Please react to SOS from the same competition. This is not even close to his highest. However, for me, some of his most beautiful songs are not those that have vocal extremes. His voice is just so beautiful and he is so emotional and expressive, no matter in which of his voices or what range he sings.
Forget SOS and leave it for later. React to Sinful Passion instead, not because that performance is better than others but it does have many aspects a musician and singer like you will appreciate.

Dimash is trained in bel canto technique since childhood 😂😂 with his 7 octave range, nobody can compare to him..... He can sing any music genre u think of 😁😁🙄 He mastered many, many singing techniques to the highest level!!!! Next try Sinful passion and u will see what I'm talking about 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 in this piece he did not jump on octaves 😁

Sí, había escuchado la canción antes, pero solo la original de Vitas, aún no había escuchado la versión de Dimash, por lo que la sorpresa al final cuando Dimash realmente fue más alto que Vitas fue una verdadera conmoción.
