Never heard Tim called a baritone before. Heard him called a tenor or soprano on occasion when he showcases his range. Tim can hit that note in his sleep, and lower. He tortures sound systems and has blow speakers.
As alreay pointed out by my fellow Home Fries , this is realy a cappella , meaning NO instruments , and dont just think of them as a country band , because they sing , gospel/country /soul /rap /pop/ hip hop , you name it they sing it , remember there is a reason that HF has over 1 million subs on youtube alone , so just a friendly reminder if you realy love our guys , the fries will come running
Ok, here's the thing with Tim's lowest notes: I'm choir background myself, and find the "growls" a bit off-putting sometimes. BUT, that's partly because choirs are intentionally aimed at major blending. Tim's working in a different business, where a HUGE portion of his fan base love him to show off how low he can go. People who pay the cost of live performance tickets hoping with all their heart to hear him blow out the amps, or make the floor tremble. Different goals and standards. A lot of the pro a-ca groups seem to be accepting that norm, and tailoring their pieces to let both stratospheric high tenors show off their "make the bats faint" high notes, and their basses show off the dragon's breath low notes. Accept it as a convention.
If you’re talking about the guy with the gray streak in his hair, he is a true bass! He has a 5+ octave range! He don’t play! He’s the real deal! Anyway, if you really like this group they have quite the rabbit hole of videos to explore! Check out “End of the Road”, “Helplessly Hoping”, “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, and “Seven Bridges Road”. Welcome to Home Fry land!
This is one of their quarantine edition videos filmed from their homes across the country. Keep listening and Tim, the bass, will pull you in. Another good one from this crazy virus time is Moonshine or Meet In The Middle.

Tim is their Bass, that wasn’t a Baritone trying to go low. In choir, anything below a chest note is bad. Wake up - this isn’t choir. Oh and Johnny Cash’s Folsom wasn’t an original, it was a cover.
Perfect way to describe a cappella singing! Oh you haven't seen anything yet...they don't have a bad video! This one is just awesome considering it was filmed in 5 different locations because of the quarantine! So each of the guys shot their own part from home ...then their producer put it all together! You have 1 in CA...2 in TN...and 2 in MN!
Home Free are just brilliant ! No one like them, they can make covers better than the original. Check out their cover of End of the Road its just amazing. Also check out an original of theirs Catch me if you can.
Tim is bass profundo, but with his 5 octaver range, he covers baritone and tenor. Some people complains, when he uses his tenor range, even that he sings clear as a bell, they only want him to use his bass range. People call him dragon breath, and the reason is, becaus he can go much lower than this, and hold the tone, for a long time.

I just rerad that Tim Folust holds two world records - one for the lowest note ever sung by a human & one for the widest vocal range (10 octaves). I this true?

Tim Foust is the master of growls. His range is as long as your leg. He can also sing into the high tenor range. This is an awesome cover. They have those and some just as awesome originals. Try their Man of Constant Sorrow, Catch Me if You Can, Can't Stop the Feeling, Timeless and The Butts Remix. Thanks! ^_^

The fans are called Home Fries and we will come out in droves to support them. Enjoy 😊 the beatboxer also made a shotgun sound during this song we call him the freak of nature. The Bass singer Tim Foust has a 5+ Octave range he hit the low note and does it like it's nothing. Try the sing off version of ring of fire. Live version of your man and Honey I'm Good.
Yes, their beatboxer does things that way, You'll have to check out their version of "Man of Constant Sorrow" where the beatboxer does a harmonica solo. And their bass singer often goes subharmonic when he drops the bass down...and no, Tim the bass didn't try too hard, that isn't unusual for him to drop it in the basement, and he does it effortlessly.
I almost gave you a thumb down reaction. The guy starting the song is the baritone and his low notes were perfect. Fun fact this baritone was the bass singer for another group before he joined Home Free. The guy 'trying' the last low low note IS the bass. How in hell do you not hear the difference when a clueless like me can hear it. These days growls and chest fry is quite common and very popular with fans of a capella. He wasn't trying too hard he nailed it easily. Check out their sing off performance of Ring of fire for his most satisfying low note. He didn't try too hard he sang the arrangement. Good luck to you.
Thank you for reacting to HF. Tim's growl there was just to give the fans their bass fix. HF's music is usually much more exciting, varied and pleasurable. Since it's Christmas, I'm going to suggest a beautiful Acapella classic by them, Auld Lang Syne and for fun Cold Hard Cash (for Christmas) from their album just released in November.
