But I also believe 100%, that the delivery is what makes it or breaks it. Tori sings with such a clarity and passion, and beauty, that you can't ignore the message. It is clear you are enamored with Tori. This is a timeless voice that deserves to be discovered as she is on par with any professional female artist that sings in this genre. I see that Joe recommended a couple of other performances. I will add her performance of Georgia on My Mind by Ray Charles. Hi Doc, Welcome back to Tori and thank you for choosing this beautiful song. Yes, it is an original and Tori is the debut singer. It’s by Richard Kraft and Jimena Caballero. It was written and arranged in the style of Bacharach/Carpenters. That opening as you picked up on is a homage of a sort to Close Ro You. BTW the iconic piano opening to Close To You was actually written by Richard Carpenter, not Burt. Close To You will be the follow up song from Jim Wilkas and Tori. I’m looking forward to that, it’s in the editing and mixing stage. I want to reiterate as this is only your second Tori song, she never uses pitch correction or autotune unlike other modern singers, like Lucy. What you hear is what you get. If it’s OK with you I’m going to link two of her most recent collaborations with UK based producer/musician, Dan Wesley. They made these songs over the summer. In April Dan made a couple of “reaction” videos on Tori. He was blown away after RUclips introduced her to him. His videos weren’t on a particular song, they were on her, showcasing some of her songs. How they got together. Dan saw a video of the Carpenters on a Perry Como TV special in 1974. They sang each,others hits in a medley. This had Karen singing one verse of Perry’s iconic 1970 hit; It’s Impossible. Dan wondered what it would have been like if Carpenters had sung the entire song. So he did what anyone would, he reached out to Tori. She answered! It is one of her favorite songs but she couldn’t find music in her key. Woman sent her a piano track in Karen’s key. Not my favorite single from the new album, but I do like it. And I really like the music video. Favorite part is the heavy breakdown, followed by the acapella children's choir. Very cool.

I am a norwegian man and has been following her from the very beginning. Even thow she nearly can sing what ever, she is moustly a jazz- and soulsinger. She began with jazz, witch she was introdust to bye her grandmother in the very early years. Her ranges and her ability to deliver the lyrics are remarkebel, with all the moods of filings. When you can sing the songs like Whitney Hustons "I'm loving you" that good, then you are a fantastic singer!

This song had Babymetal in mind when they rreached out to Electric Callboy. They wanted a song in the spirit of "We got the moves". So it is not a miracle that structurally reminds you of Ratatata. And as I said the last time, try out "Hypa, Hypa" you will be amazed, especially with what you have in the background in your video.

Live performance? The 1973 show at Madison Square Garden from the album./ movie "the Song Remains the Same". Be prepared it is heavily improvised and sounds very different from the album version...and for many, including me, it's far better!!

It does not matter how many times you watch this incredible performance, it never fails to blow your mind. It's so clear why Mark is so highly rated whether with Dire Straits or as a solo artist. His songwriting and performances are off the scale. Rightly so, Mark is on another level. There will never be another Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler. The virtuoso will be forever on the airways for future generations. The only thing better than watching on RUclips would actually being there. Oh wait a minute, I was there for this tour in 1992 in London. I feel so lucky to have witnessed them with my own eyes. Excellent reaction.
