Electric Callboy are an incredibly fun band. Check out "Hypa Hypa" or "We Got the Moves" first, but honestly everything they've released in the last few years is great.

Yeah, react to the live one next. It is the top summer festival song and at some shows they get it 2x, once with EC then later with BM. A lot of female metal band just try to copy male metal bands, BabyMetal does metal their way. Dancing, Pig Tails, Clean Vocals, it is their own thing.

Not going to lie, I feel like it's the choreography that does it for me. You don't normally associate dancing with metal, yet BABYMETAL makes it seem as natural of a fit like peanut butter and jelly.

Nice reaction. So cool is right. Totally fun song. The part where Babymetal is in a karaoke bar is apparently something they have done for a long time. They have mentioned going to Karaoke places after practice. Could you imagine young Su and Moa and Yui the other original member singing next to you. I always wondered if the owner of the place knew who they were and since they were young did, they see them becoming as big as they have. The Foxhole is deep and full of surprises

@@NavyDoc5184Reacts If you want something recent there's Hellfest, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring, and Foxfest. Foxfest is their own festival so the production level on that is higher than the others.
For something significant to the band it would probably be the 2014 Sonisphere Ijime, Dame, Zettai. It was their first metal festival outside Japan playing to the largest audience they've had up to that point. I think they were 16 (Su the lead singer),15 and 15 in this performance.

Apparently this collaboration happened because Babymetal wanted to record a song like "We Got The Moves" by Electric Callboy that would get everyone up and dancing but it wasn't quite working so they contacted EC and asked if they wanted to collaborate, to which EC immediately said yes and the result was a true 50/50 collab of two great bands. The video was done by the Schillo Brothers, one of whom is in Electric Callboy, and they do most of the EC videos which are always top quality...

Welcome back to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊To answer your first thoughts, obviously there were Japanese bands touring the world before (eg X Japan, Loudness etc), but it was BABYMETAL that has really kicked the doors open most recently since their first tour in 2014 and shown the other bands you know and some more just what could be possible and what could be achieved touring outside of Japan.
BABYMETAL are by far the most successful Japanese band (internationally, not domestically by a long way) of all time, they have charted higher than any other Japanese artist. I forget the actual numbers, but they were the first Japanese artist to break the top 40 in the US Billboard charts in 53 years with the second album and their third charted even higher ... it was the first by any Asian - not just Japanese - band to hit number 1 in the Billboard Hard Rock chart).
BABYMETAL refuse to restrict themselves to any one style or genre. Lovebites are a mainly power/speed metal band, Band Maid mainly hard rock and, other than being all female, they are both relatively conventional with the guitarist, bassist, drummer and singer format that we've been watching bands follow for decades.
BABYMETAL have songs in virtually every metal genre, but they will also mix and blend so many more musical styles and genres with the metal. About 70 songs, each one different to the last.
They also don't follow or copy the same formula or format as every other band. They have their regular musicians (much like solo artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and others would have their regular musicians), but they are 3 vocalists and they have also introduced choreographed dance to metal. They are original and unique and they do things we've never seen done by rock and metal bands.
This is such a good collaboration, but of course it is - Electric Callboy are great fun and BABYMETAL are so versatile that they can collaborate with pretty much anybody and they will fit in with their style and they make it look and sound almost effortless ... it takes a lot of hard work, talent and professionalism to make it look so easy.
BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing.
They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show.
    'RATATATA' was the result.
After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is very much in the EC style, but make no mistake - it is a real 50-50 collaboration.
Yes you need to see a live performance - they've been having great fun performing it together at festivals around Europe since it was released. They played together twice during BABYMETAL's sets at FOX_FEST in Japan (events arranged and hosted by BABYMETAL in May).
At Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany and at Resurrection Fest in Spain BABYMETAL joined EC during their set then Nico and Kevin joined BABYMETAL in their set to perform it again.
There are a couple of live videos - the official live at FOX_FEST and EC have a remastered live from their set at Rock am Ring.

    Welcome back to the Foxhole.🦊🤘🔥
I don't remember following your BM journey but it's always nice to see old BM fans and reactors coming back to listen more of this amazing Japanese group. Actually they were the first opening the gates for Japanese metal and rock music scene to the world, there was a before and after when they started to blew up the scene in 2010, regardless there's no other group like them around, of course there were amazing Japanese bands prior to them but this project is on another level.
This song reached Number 1 best selling single in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
If you see comments talking about how cool was one of the singers turning around at the end, that's a reference to a video reaction they did last month. But the one who really looks cool are oc the ladies striking a pose near the end which is also the pose they used when performing live right from the beginning.💃
The last weekend of May they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab and song of the year. They also released the official live if you don't wanna stop and keep pushing it to the limit.
They played together once again at Rock Im Park in Germany twice, one during EC show and the other one during BM show wearing cool new outfits. After that they played again at Rock Am Ring and there are cool proshot clips, even the full show is up, even EC upload a re-mixed and mastered version of that moment together.
The last weekend of June they finished the Europe Tour and once again with both groups playing this song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain making everyone go wild, also a proshot version is available in the official Resurrection.
Polyphia were also at FOX_FEST playing a set and the guitarists Tim Henson and Scott Le Page played together with BM the song Brand New Day, they're special guest in the album version, they were looking for this since a very long time ago and also fans waited for this. You can enjoy an official live MV released if you wanna check that out.
Next suggestion to enjoy another super collab they did prior to this:
    - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV, Bodyslam already performed live along with F.Hero in Thailand and more recently last weekend at Summer Sonic Japan with BM as special invitation, next is coming Summer Sonic Bangkok playing live altogether.
This month they will start the Asian Tour and in October they will be at Knotfest Brazil, Argentina and Chile for the first time in South America, as well Peru with a headlining show, they will come back to the US for another tour and also Mexico will be part of that tour but this time as special guests for Slipknot, we can't wait for it.
Hope to see you around with more BM songs.
    See you next time 🦊🤘🐭

Big EC fan here! They are a German party core band, most of ther songs and videos are fun and upbeat, the videos are mainly done by the brother of one of EC members. To give you an impression. They came out big I 2022 during corona with Hypa Hypa, ended up doing 7 version of the song with 7 other German bands from 7 different genres. Epic. Their last album Tekkno has 9 videos , only one ist still missing. Have fun , we will meet in the rabbithole!

As others have already mentioned Electric Callboy mixes EDM and techno with metal, which fans have referred to as partycore. They actually got me started on listening to Babymetal after this was released, which also happened to be just days after I had saw Electric Callboy at Sonic Temple back in May. While they've been around just as long as Babymetal, they didn't really start getting popular outside of Germany until covid when they also got a new clean vocalist, Nico. Since then they have blown up doing two US tours selling out pretty much every show. Babymetal will also be touring the US in November and I'll be seeing them live as well.
On Electric Callboy reactions, if you get blocked, you can message the band and they'll work on getting it unblocked for you as they love watching people react to their songs.
    Suggestions;
Babymetal: Road of Resistance (Live in Japan), Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 or Monochrome Live @ PIA Arena
Electric Callboy: Hypa Hypa or We Got the Moves
