When I was a kid, my dad was a big city cop, former paratrooper, Vietnam Vet. His cop buddies were mostly combat veterans too. I used to sit and listen to these guys tell stories (my father was a great story teller), which were crazy, hilariously funny, sometimes hair raising, and often so outrageous that you wonder if they were real. Listening to McPhee tell a story brings me back to those days. He has such a way of telling stories.
How John presents himself on these podcasts is exactly how he is in person - be it teaching the classes he offers or hoisting drinks while having laughs over good food with folks. He’s absolutely a class act👍
John is like a surfer dude with his attitude but you know underneath is a sharp brain and total warrior. Guys like him have nothing to prove, their rep speaks for itself. I could listen to him all day.
That quote that says “stick shrek in a glass case that says break in case of war” is perfect for this dude. He’s what’s needed when situations get hairy
Of all the things I miss the guys the most. You know that feeling you get when you finally find your people. I never felt more at home in my life - if you were the best from your group of friends, these guys were the best from theirs. Great show
Why miss- title the segment? Zero mention of KNIFE. Do u think we are stupid or do you just not give a shit? I will watch a Shrek segment no matter what you title it, so let's try for accuracy please.
A "Knife fight", can also be used as a metaphor for any kind of fast paced in close fighting. He did describe several in the first few minutes. I am going to assume though this was Mike experimenting with click bait. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I don't condone it but I understand.
The phrase, "Knife fight" is just a metaphor in this case. It is short hand for quick and dirty in close fighting which was described in the first three minutes. We all got clickbaited but they were good stories none the less.
I actually saw that happen in New Orleans. Knife vs ice pick. Ice pick guy died on scene, knife wielder died in the ambulance, just like you said. Bad juju
Unless only one side has a knife. And even more so if him and his buddy all have knives à la Roman Senate v Julius Cesar. Then it is a one way ticket to Shankville.
Yeah, the dying dogs thing would have been rough for me, I like most dogs more than I do most people, so that's when the mission and the discipline being priority keeps a man on point.
❤❤❤❤ love from Australia.Clay ❤❤praze Christ fore you mate❤❤deepest respect for you'll all❤❤ thank you so very much for your selfless service 🙏 ❤️ ♥️ 💙 🎉🎉 well done 👏 😊😊
I have no doubt in my mind that Shrek would hate Trump. The orange guy is everything Shrek despises from everything I've seen - spoilt, narcissistic, fascistic, and a draft dodger.
I love listening to SOB talk! "Greatest war fighter ever" yet he sounds like a old school stoner. Im captivated and laughing at the same time. "You know what I mean?" 🤣 🤣
Do your research on him. Every story he has is backed by lots of guys from his command. Not 1 single operator has contradicted him at all. Tim Kennedy has been quoted saying his isn't the nicest guy to work for, bit if you ever had a glass box to break in times of war, Shrek would be the one in the emergency box

My pop was a four tour Marine in Vietnam and yes, those stories were nuts. The Tet offensive stuff especially.

I thought he's 30+ years sober?
@@DefinitelyNotATroLLLL I think that might be a rumor, after all, he's been doing "Booze & Views" for a while. Great screen name btw lol
@@MCFCTheMadHatter Oh ok. He said it in the beginning of Shawn Ryan show. I'll have to double check next time I'm bored.
Imagine this guy in congress. " keep the savages at bay" love it

I like your interview style Mike. You seem very chill when you interview people which puts them at ease.
Of all the things I miss the guys the most. You know that feeling you get when you finally find your people. I never felt more at home in my life - if you were the best from your group of friends, these guys were the best from theirs. Great show
I must've dozed off during the telling of the "close call knife fights".
Agreed…I love this podcast and Shrek is very entertaining, but I was here for the knife fight story…
so many knife fights.
Why miss- title the segment? Zero mention of KNIFE. Do u think we are stupid or do you just not give a shit? I will watch a Shrek segment no matter what you title it, so let's try for accuracy please.
He literally talks about knife fights. Idk where the issue lies

This dude is fkn hilarious, I could listen to him all day.
I love John he makes laugh so hard Thanks for telling theses experiences
McPhee is the real deal. A true 'break glass in case of war' dude.
Mike great questions , one crazy man, thank God he’s a American 🇺🇸
John if you’re ever in the Delaware region tri state area, you ever need anything just let me know
Shrek is the loud, obnoxious guy that you don't even care about how loud and obnoxious he is because he's such a good dude
Good dude.... this guy killed women and children... he is funny as hell but definitively not a good man

Great story guys! Started my day with Great laugh!! Thx both of you!!
Nobody wins in a knife fight. The guy who gets it the worst dies at the fight scene and the other guy bleeds out before getting to the hospital!

He s the most real dude ever. Zero tryn to have to act like a bad ass soldier w his background.
When a guy can 100% no apologizes be himself...
So awesome
My dad was on Guam in WW2. Ever since I was a kid he taught me to kick the other guys knee in a fight.
Your dad gave you bad info
😆 Having trouble sleeping before work this morning. This made me feel like I was destined to be awake and smell the coffee. 👍 Good stuff.

Dogs my friends love em
@BrettDuval
Most people do, cuz they're adorable and full of love and loyalty.
Great video, excited to see the whole thing.
John cracks me up - so funny! lol
This guy is the REAL SAVAGE
The Dogs bit everyone one, they bit me :)
Thanks

Lol, “I tried to move my pant leg towards the dude so the dog would bite him!”
@8:43 The dog story 🤣
Funny shit. 🤣
Everybody is a killer until they meet a sixty, eighty pound shepherd. those things kill with their faces.😂
Legend has it that wherever John McPhee takes a piss, psilocybin pops up.
Yooooo! He's low-key wiggin' ballz.
The Donald Trump of Delta. Dozed of at the knife part too....
I have no doubt in my mind that Shrek would hate Trump. The orange guy is everything Shrek despises from everything I've seen - spoilt, narcissistic, fascistic, and a draft dodger.

🤩😆😂🤣the dog story Shrek!
My GSD female was like that to me in the begining when I got her... She's a Savage !!
Funniest war story teller ever. But this bloke aint no joke. Look forward to watching more interviews. Good channel.🍻
As a real dog with 4 tours.. Retired in 17..I don't believe a word!
I can tell you just how spec ups when knife fights. They win them by not getting into them and using their gun.
I don't think Shrek knows that dogs are Mike's thing.
McPhee trusts his eyes and he sees Mike's hat.
Also, at the beginning of the dog program the dogs didn't retire...I heard.
John, we need to shirts with your famous, and most spoken words on it, "you know what I mean??
Meant title:Close Call Critter to Nuts
11 Terrorist Knockouts. Love this guy! Shrek vs Jake Paul
Mr. I FORGOT WHAT HAPPEN
Hell ya
Get your title straight. I don't come here for click bait.
How to knife fight brought to you by stories behind the desk... Lol like n subscribe..
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean....you know what I mean......you....
Guy sounds like a complete stoner and his tone is the least scary thing. To hell with upsetting that maniac 😂😂😂
Almost a Tommy Chong type of voice. Bet it irked the bureaucrats he ran across.
With guns I'm guessing
Ironically he has a very similar voice and speaking pattern to trump
Yo I remember those military dogs were so gdamn mean even to the same side, police dogs are pets compared to them 😂
Those 11 were chicks😂😂😂
Am I missing something this video had nothing to do with knife fights
With out watching ……I’m guessing in a knife fight they use a gun !
Um ..WTF
Change the title
👍🇱🇷💪💯
His slurred speech telling me everything! He's on drugs or drunk
Shrek vs Jocko. I would pay to see that one. Not bc I think Jocko would do well, but because I think he wouldn't.
I've heard tales of better knife fights in county lockup...
This dude seems like he’s always drunk and high.
Delta = Sherif of big mouth.
He is a good story teller but I get a feeling there is a ton of BS here in there.
No BS in his stories, John is 110% legit.
Dale Comstock and Dutch Moyer were on his team
Never heard one special forces guy talk badly about him, and heard more than one say he is the real deal.
Do your research on him. Every story he has is backed by lots of guys from his command. Not 1 single operator has contradicted him at all. Tim Kennedy has been quoted saying his isn't the nicest guy to work for, bit if you ever had a glass box to break in times of war, Shrek would be the one in the emergency box
you are an idiot...go research the guy
