Tucson 2017 Start issue

This short video shows a start problem that I'm having with a Tucson 2017. The SUV eventually starts at the end of the video but as you will see, it takes many tries with the start button. The temperature was -19 celsius at the time. later that day, the SUV would start no problem and the temperature was -10. that could be a factor. the next morning the problem was back, Temperatur was -29 celsius.

The dealership called and finally found the problem, it was the starter and as time went on, the fuse also went, hence the reason why I couldn't start the Tucson even after hours of trying.

How did you starter go bad from a 2017 Tucson only a couple yr old car? Shouldn’t of had to repellent the starter at all

@@Coolkid_21 I happened to come back from Xmas trip and that night in the Park and Fly, it was -40 Celsius and I recall hearing a sharp sound of something getting un stuck as I was starting the car. Looking back, I believe that the starter was frozen with humidity and got damaged when I cranked the starter. The next morning in the hotel parking lot before leaving for home, the car displayed the problem, it was the first time it happened. Eventually CAA started the car after multiple attempts to boost the car. It gradually got more frequent, I believe a dead spot was created on the starter from the Park and Fly incident.

Well it's not fixed yet, the Tucson is at the dealership to get looked at. I'm looking forward to know what the fix is myself. More to follow.

Had the same problem today had to replace my Battery 2 and 1/2 years old . 2018 Tucson . Would not shift into neutral until you get a jump to get it out of traffic if it dies .

After replacing your starter then the issue stop? I am having the exact same issue any advice will help

Yes, the issue was fixed once the starter was replaced. And the fuse because I kept trying to start it
