Anyone looking to do this job, this video PERFECTLY explains it step by step. “In the day” when I lived in NY this would be a call to my dad who was a mechanic and he would have come over and done this for me. Sixteen years ago I moved to FL and sadly my father lost his battle with congestive heart failure a week ago today. I have AAA and was going to call them, however this video showed me everything step by step and helped me get the job done. I like to think Dad is smiling down at me from above right now.
This is the BEST video I've seen for a DIY car issue. Video is perfectouly paced, clear close ups. No unnecessary chatter, This 68 year old grandma can now change her own battery without being charged excessive fees. Thank you Thank you Thank you!😁
Great. Thanks for listing the socket sizes... needed to take the tools with me for a quick road repair.. and still managed to forget the screwdriver for those plastic caps
Worked like a champ on my 2016 Hyundai Tucson 1.6L Turbo with an H6 battery. It's the first truly cold day of winter, and thats when you find out what your Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) really are. This battery was too old, and could only manage some pitiful clicks of the starter motor. Followed this exactly, and it worked perfectly. Don't worry about the computer, it will happily turn right back on like nothing bad happened.
This video helped me change my co-worker friend's battery. Today I had to play it in the car and the music. I said sounded like po*n music lol she just looked at me like. What are you watching? Thinking the same thing haha😂😂😂😂
Thx for the vid. I had to check because I’m trying to get to the throttle body and the first video I watched said that I had to remove the battery a certain way or I’ll damage the electrical system but instead of explaining it he said to go watch his other video 🙄. To me made no sense I’ve disconnected many batteries before but never on this vehicle so I was just being cautious. Great video 👍🏼
Great step by step video. Only issue my husband is having is getting those plastic bolts back in the cover at the end. He has been trying for 20 minutes….air is going to be blue shortly! Lol. Thanks again!
I dropped one of those pieces your putting in at 4:13 that holds the air filter together, do you know what that thing is called? I’m trying to order another one :/ but can’t seem to figure out what to search, if there’s a link it would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, nice vid! One question. How to hide a button which set on/off the fuse of the fuel pump to protect my car for steal. I have an idea, but due to your experience, is there a way to do this ? I have a Tucson 1.6 gdi 132 hp! Thanks much !
Thanks for this straightforward video! We just got a 2017 model and my first question was, if we replace the battery will the radio need the unlock code? I have a 2006 Honda Civic that requires an unlock code for the radio if the power is cut. It’s an anti-theft protection. No clue why since the radio is built into the dash.
anyone have any tip on how to charge a 12 v auxiliary battery on a 2020 tucson. My wife tried to remote start and got a low battery notification only on the remote start.
Called autozone because i need a new battery. Said they wouldn't do installation because it's a 45 minute job. I fail to see how after watching this video and am now just going to do a self install. Only thing i might have an issue getting to is that 12m bracket.
Good video but just a question, is it true that changing a car's battery like in the video, it won't reset the whole computer thing from the car? I saw videos that before disconnecting the battery terminals, they supply energy to the car through a obd2 connector. All of these is true, please because I have a 2019 tucson and a 2019 veloster that needs a battery replacement but by the time I set an appointment with the hyundai dealer it will be within 2 months. Please I will appreciate an answer to this matter. Thank you in advance
It’s not true I never do and I replace battery daily on all kind Of vehicles … the only reason they connect to obd so costumer doesn’t lose saved radio stations 😄

Hi I replaced my battery no problems . But when I went to replace plastic air intake to rear it didn’t slide all the way down in to the intake however the plastic little pins lined up ok ? the grey colour rubber was a little exposed is this normal ?
Milwaukee cordless screwdriver, 10mm key, 12mm key, flat manual screw driver and a lantern. :) Also, if you want, you may use Battery Terminal Protector spray, but it's optional.
Simple question... Is there a reason no cover for negative terminal of battery? My 2021 Kona negative side wasn't covered with the cap. The cap was stored in trunk. Odd??
Yea that’s weird .. it’s not a big deal .. I see maybe have cover for positive side (just because if you work under the hood around battery, don’t want cause sparks lol)
