How to replace your battery:
-Make sure your engine is off - refer to your vehicle manual to locate the battery.
-Use a wrench to loosen the bolt that holds the black negative battery cable.
-Carefully remove the cable by twisting and pulling - do not use too much force or any metal objects to pry the cable away from the battery. This can damage the cable.
-Repeat steps 2 and 3 to remove the positive (red) battery cable.
-Locate the clamp that holds the battery in place and remove it with a wrench or ratchet.
-At this point, you should be able to easily remove the battery. Careful, it will be heavy.
-It is recommended that you clean the battery tray and any corrosion on the cables using a wire brush and proper battery cleaning solution.
-To install the new battery simply repeat the steps above.
-Common Car Battery Issues & Problems - How Do You Know If Your Car Needs A New Battery?
-We have all been there, whether you leave your lights on, don't close a door completely, or leave the radio too long without your engine running. One of the most natural car problems is a dead battery.
-Check Engine Light - the check engine light usually turns on when your battery is losing charge.
-Low Battery Fluid Level - if the fluid level is low, you need to have the battery and charging system tested.
-Fluid Leaks or Corrosion - it's respectable for battery fluid and extra fluid leaks to cause excessive corrosion which is an evident sign the battery needs to be replaced. Over time, corrosion will build mostly and can be cleaned to prolong the life of your 2019 Hyundai Tucson battery.
-Delayed Engine Crank - when you attempt to start the vehicle, it takes longer than daily to roll over or start.

Anyone looking to do this job, this video PERFECTLY explains it step by step. “In the day” when I lived in NY this would be a call to my dad who was a mechanic and he would have come over and done this for me. Sixteen years ago I moved to FL and sadly my father lost his battle with congestive heart failure a week ago today. I had to check because I’m trying to get to the throttle body and the first video I watched said that I had to remove the battery a certain way or I’ll damage the electrical system but instead of explaining it he said to go watch his other video 🙄. To me made no sense I’ve disconnected many batteries before but never on this vehicle so I was just being cautious. Great video 👍🏼

Lol just kind a squeeze too end toghter and as you are putting in turn clockwise or counter clock vise .. it doesn’t matter
Pull the round tab to make it slender and it will be easier to insert.

I have a 2006 Honda Civic that requires an unlock code for the radio if the power is cut. It’s an anti-theft protection. No clue why since the radio is built into the dash.

Good video but just a question, is it true that changing a car's battery like in the video, it won't reset the whole computer thing from the car? I saw videos that before disconnecting the battery terminals, they supply energy to the car through a obd2 connector. All of these is true, please because I have a 2019 tucson and a 2019 veloster that needs a battery replacement but by the time I set an appointment with the hyundai dealer it will be within 2 months. Please I will appreciate an answer to this matter.

@@AutomotiveDysfunction if I can ask a question, on my old 2000 dodge pickup the connector is too loose and won't hang on the battery pole, keeps slipping off even fully tightened...
I thought of wrapping aluminium foil around the pole to make it bigger and easier to screw the connector on it but it started making sparks...

anyone have any tip on how to charge a 12 v auxiliary battery on a 2020 tucson.My wife tried to remote start and got a low battery notification only on the remote start.

Simple question... Is there a reason no cover for negative terminal of battery? My 2021 Kona negative side wasn't covered with the cap. The cap was stored in trunk. Odd??
Yea that’s weird .. it’s not a big deal .. I see maybe have cover for positive side (just because if you work under the hood around battery, don’t want cause sparks lol)

Hi I replaced my battery no problems . But when I went to replace plastic air intake to rear it didn’t slide all the way down in to the intake however the plastic little pins lined up ok ? the grey colour rubber was a little exposed is this normal ?

Called autozone because i need a new battery. Said they wouldn't do installation because it's a 45 minute job. I fail to see how after watching this video and am now just going to do a self install. Only thing i might have an issue getting to is that 12m bracket.

Milwaukee cordless screwdriver, 10mm key, 12mm key, flat manual screw driver and a lantern. :) Also, if you want, you may use Battery Terminal Protector spray, but it's optional.
I wonder why 2020 Hyundai Tuscan batteries are dying after only two years. ?? I know of TWO different 2020 Tuscan vehicles in which the batteries have died within 26 months after purchase.
