    Great tips - thank you!
    I would use a push stick that has greater height than the one used here (i.e. have my hand much higher from the spinning blade but that is just me being cautiously silly).

    Question in at least 2 of the cuts you made some wood flew slowly backwards
    is this like mini kickback causing it or something else ?

      so in this case the not being caught meant the blade did not like get a grip enough to really put force into the offcut?

    The trouble i have is when making a miter cut my wood piece walks on me no matter how hard i hold it

      @@Wood I'll try sandpaper don't like clamps that close to the blade
