Dr. Alan Goldhamer is the co-founder of TrueNorth Health Center, a state-of-the-art facility that provides medical and chiropractic services, psychotherapy and counseling, as well as massage and bodywork. He is also director of the Center's groundbreaking residential health education program.
Articulate, inspiring and energetic, Dr. Goldhamer is one of the most pioneering and dedicated visionaries in health today. An outspoken professional who doesn't shy away from a spirited debate, he is deeply committed to helping people stuck in self-destructive cycles reclaim their ability to change their lives.

The second study: "Medically Supervised Water-Only Fasting in the Treatment of Borderline Hypertension," appeared in the October 2002 issue of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Goldhamer is directing a team that is developing a prospective study, incorporating random assignment and long-term follow-up on the cost and clinical outcomes in the treatment of diabetes and high blood pressure with fasting and a health-promoting diet.

I love it when you interview him! He just puts it in a blatant manner that you can't really argue with. Thank you for asking him about the coffee and fatigue. I am also trying to get off caffein, and it's difficult. After two months I thought I'd have tons of energy, but it can still be a struggle. I guess I just need more time to heal. Thank you Dr Goldhammer for your knowledge.

I think it finally clicked for me. Today, my parents were eating steak as I was visiting them, and I didn't even look at it. My only thought was: "This isn't food."
For me, intermittent fasting is the only way I am not constantly hungry. I only started to do IF 3 days ago, but I am so centred and calm... I've really never felt so great EVER before.
I spent the last few weeks binge watching all of your vids Chef AJ, Dr. Goldhammers, Dr. Lisle and Dr. Mc Dougals videos. I am so thankful I stumbled over your videos on youtube! I think you get kind of ENLIGHTEN :) before going plant based/vegan I was very strict with my kids on what they eat, they were served veggies and fruits prior anything else and also, they have to go with me to exercise at the park almost daily. My behavior changed as soon as my 1st baby was born. I was a junk eater but didn't want my kids to learn bad behaviors and I did it all by intuition, I have no much education LOL. My Kids eat healthier than any one we ever know. I changed to plant based after dying and seeing my kid by my bed, waiting for me to get better. I made a decision to heal with no meds, treatments, harmaceuticals, etc. I searched and found Dr. Alan Goldhamer. Started with all his recommendations right next day :) Still in progress to get even better despite I am healthy and so strong, I want to leave this HEALTHY LIFESTYLE to my kids as a legacy vs a will :)

Loving these videos! I'm curious, since we destroy the enzymes in our fruits and vegetables when we cook them is there a reliable source we can go to where we can add enzymes through supplementation that is of epic quality? And one where it will make up what we lost when we killed the enzymes through cooking?

Really appreciated the information on celiac disease possibly being a precursor to Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I was diagnosed with celiac at age 5 years. Stayed gluten free until I was in my late teens. Then became rebellious and started eating gluten and wheat. At age 22 years diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Been on thyroid meds for 43 years. Got totally gluten, wheat, sugar and caffeine free 10 years ago which helped, however 2 months ago I went completely whole food plant based and feel the best I’ve ever felt in my left. My thyroid meds got reduced 1 month ago . I attribute that to my way of eating. Thank you for sharing such great information. You have enriched my life greatly. 🥒🥦🍅🥕🍓🍎🍐🍏🍈🍑🍆🍠

I have hasimoto's and eat TONS of gluten but have NEVER reacted badly to it. I'm also asymptomatic (feel 100% normal with No symptoms of anything and am a serious athlete) and don't even feel like I have hashimoto's... my bloodwork indicates I have it however. I'm whole foods plant based vegan now for well over 10+ year (39 yrs of age). If I'm NOT reacting to gluten does this mean I can continue to consume it??? I also have MS it has been in full remission for 15 years! I take NO big pharma drugs... food is my medicine. Thanks for any advice!

I appreciate this as I do all you're work however I hear allot about thyroid but its always about hypothyroidism. I been told 13 years ago that the doctor THINKS I have graves but i never went back because radiation for what she thinks I have didn't sound good to me. last year my bloodwork shows my thyroid level is .20uiu at this time I have been plant based only 2 months but now going on nine. I was interested if next time you interview if you can ask about a plant based diet helping things like graves. My thyroid hormone is low, im confused how this causes me to hold onto weight . I know this isn't you're area of expertise so if no I get it. Another thing i suffer from since age 13 and im 41 now is i have a nocturnal eating disorder, i wake up almost every 45 min and can not go back to sleep till i eat something. I eat every hour till about two hrs before work which means i get no good quality of sleep and a ton of calories. I had three sleep studies and all he said is i have a slight apnea and rls. Im so tired of this disorder im exausted constantly. I did check nutritionfacts.org but i didn't find anything. please if you dont mind the next time you interview one of the doctors if you can ask about this. thank you so much😊😊😊😊😘

Are the triglycerides elevated for the bulk of the time bodyfat is mobilised when someone like A.J. or the three hundred pound woman who achieved health and associated weight loss over a prolonged period of twelve months of more?
Do the raised triglycerides prompt a release of insulin into the blood?
I am sorry her name escapes me as I think she is one of the Ultimate Weightloss success stories - but the three hundred pound woman made a great point in a video facilitated by A.J. in response to a question about the fat in avocado 🥑. She pointed out the Avocado was not a problem in her case as the weight still fell off her obese frame. The elimination of refined and processed fat and oil had a more profound impact.
Edit: Maybe we need a “China Study” for Dementia.
Edit: I got G’s joke about “The Last Resort”.
“Greasy, fatty, slimy, dead, decaying flesh diet.” Love it! 💗

AJ, can I make a suggestion, I wonder? Please will you check the AWB (Automatic White Balance) on your camera? And then check the lighting where you are. You're coming across as very yellow and it's unflattering. I know it's not _you_ because you have a lovely skin. But your lighting is wrong.
