Apokolips War was really dark, seeing DC heroes die at the hands of Darkseid and his army was a heartbreaking experience
It was so good though. I was surprised when I watched the first one. DC really nails their animated stuff
@@papaCmahnslol...lmao even.
How did All Star Superman not make this list??? One of the best Superman stories ever!
I wasn't the biggest fan of Superman but even I have to agree. That almost completely change my viewpoint on Superman as a hero
@@jackinthebox1993 Agreed! I’m not a big Superman fan either but this story was amazing.
100 percent. How could they leave it off the list? Top 10 easily.
It’s watchmojo most of their lists are ass
I didn't like the movie compared to the comic to me it was underwhelming when it was adapted
Mask of the Phantasm and Under the Red Hood are not only two of the greatest Batman movies, they’re two of my favorite animated movies of all time
Meh
Flashpoint Paradox is my personal favorite. 🎉
Good choice
Best ever.
Totally better in quality than any of the DCEU installments
Not exactly a high bar there.
Or all those sH Ty MCU ones
Can't understand why they're all so bad when animated are gems😅
@@animn7386 DC is being kicking marvel ass for years the only good marvel movies that are good are the wolverine vs hulk, Thor vs hulk, punisher and the black widow, the original captain America dvd release (not the cinema version), Logan, Deadpool 1 and the first raimi spider man
@@Saddonghussein Maybe animated but Snyder really doesn't understand Supes at all; if he just didn't go so artificially dark all the time
Justice League: Doom definitely showed us how intelligent and dangerous Batman truly is. I loved it.
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is my favorite, Darkseid's rampage in Smallville is chilling especially since he had Supes on the ropes before Kara's intervention.
We've had many people portray the roll of the batman but for many men growing up there was only one person that was our true dark Knight rip Mr Conroy younare forever in our hearts 🙏🖤🩶
"I am Kevin Conroy"
"I am Batman"
RIP Mr Conroy one of the best Batman voices ever
Once, my mom was selected to go to a "special meeting " for 1st responders. Turns out it was an advanced screening of the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie. When she told me that was what the meeting was (we were both LE dispatchers at the time, so I knew there was a meeting), I asked her how was the movie. She said, "First Flight was way better" 😂😂
Because WB asked Atrocitus and Sinestro to make that movie instead of letting Hal or Kyle tell it like it is...and yes First Flight is way better. It's an actual Hal story.
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths will always be my all time favorite DC animated movie 100/100🤩🤩
Flashpoint was crazy I mean having deathstroke and Luther be the good guys in a dark timeline really blew my mind
Mask of Phantasm is truly one of the best DC Animated movies ever
One of???
Indeed.
That’s one I want to see.
I haven't watched all of the video yet, but to me, two of THE best animated DC movies, are Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Agreed, it deserves to be number 1.
The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2 is great. They don't try to alter the story to "surprise" viewers or as an attempt to stand apart as its own animal, remaining very faithful to the Frank Miller story. I do like how they expand on the Batman vs. Superman fight in the finale of Part 2 to make it more exciting and add more meat to the scene. Batman using a wrecking ball and the rollers from a pair of steamrollers as boxing gloves is incredibly badass. Honestly, it's a more impressive fight than the similar scene in BvS. TDKR's director Jay Oliva actually worked as the storyboard artist on BvS, so he had a direct creative hand in both cinematic brawls between Batman and Superman.
Public Enemies was my first animated DC movie. My father showed it to me when I was 10 years old.
The Flashpoint Paradox is a wild ride from beginning to end as the greatest Justice League animated movie.
Honorable mention "BATMAN & MR. FREEZE: SUBZERO"
Finally someone mentions that Movie! When I read through the Comments it seems no one remember it´s Existence. What a shame.
Lord Conroy🔥😔
Miss you and remember you Kevin
Nothing on Justice League War? Guess we'll wait until top 30
Battle of the Super Sons made the list over JL War and that should be a crime.
The highlight of Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is when Darkseid comes to the Kent family farm in Smallville to fight Superman and Supergirl. Tim Daly of Superman: The Animated Series makes a great return to Superman and as always, Kevin Conroy is a delight as Batman.
If #1 isnt Mask of the Phantasm we riot
The only movie I accept ahead of The Dark Knight Returns.
@@williamsekely1476 My favorite two, are Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Literally the only reason I clicked on the video
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is without a doubt one of the most insane alternate realities out there, rife with possibilities the animated film made a reality made possible through a simple task that had disastrous consequences, making for a film that exceeded all expectations.
Thanks for meaningful and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
Bruh, Superman vs The Elite deserves to be higher.
Number 1 is Justice League Dark Apokolips War it's a masterpiece
No, in the video watch Mojo put Batman mask of the phantasm as number one
Lmao
Green Lantern: First Flight makes for a great introduction to the character of Hal Jordan and the fascinating lore of the Green Lantern Corps.
While I can't argue over the top spot (the greatest Batman story EVER) There's a couple missing here ; "Justice League : War" where the JL has an epic series of battles against Darkseid and the excellent "Justice League : The New Frontier" which explores the Silver Age era JLA's origins and the event which brings them together. I also would rate "Doom" much higher.
Don’t agree with aspects of the ranking but keep the videos coming😊
The Phantasm made such a huge impact that she even got a major reference in the JLU episode meant to pay tribute to and put a finale for Batman: Beyond, fittingly titled _Epilogue._ When Waller sought to recreate the circumstances of Batman's tragic origin for (or on) young Terry McGinnis, she asked the Phantasm to do the deed. To her credit, she thought better of it at the last moment. To Waller's credit, she came to agree.
JLU is so underrated. That was really an incredibly episode to close the series with grown up Terry realizing what Waller did many years ago - like it or not, the world needs a Batman.
@@ivaylospasov7812no it’s not underrated. It’s one of the greatest superhero shows of all time!
Superman vs. The Elite raises an important debate on how best to deal with crime. The themes of justice and hypocrisy are heavily leaned into, with Superman's methods being called into question since the villains he spares always keep coming back. And the movie improves on the source material since newer characters get included to help highlight the said themes.
Batman: Year One is an essential Batman animated movie that includes the vocal performances of Ben McKenzie and Bryan Cranston as Batman and Commissioner James Gordon.
My all time, top 3 favorite DC animated movies are; Mask of the Phantasm, Under the Red Hood and Assault on Arkham. Those three are just chef's kiss.
Justice League: Doom is a wildly evocative tale about the Justice League, with all odds stacked against them and much more than just your standard villain team against them.
The Best Epic DC Animated Movies I Absolutely Love throughout the years are:
1. Superman: Doomsday
2. Justice League: The New Frontier
3. Batman: Gotham Knight
4. Green Lantern: First Flight
5. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
6. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
7. All-Star Superman
8. Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
9. Batman: Year One
10. Justice League: Doom (I Absolutely Love seeing Martian Manhunter's Evil Villainous younger brother and Evil Longtime Archenemy and Worthy Adversary, Ma'alefa'ak in that movie)
11. Superman vs. The Elite
12. Superman: Unbound
13. Justice League: War
14. Son of Batman
15. Batman: Assault on Arkham
16. Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
17. Batman: Bad Blood
18. Batman: The Killing Joke
19. Justice League Dark
20. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

25. Reign of Supermen
26. Justice League vs. the Fatal Five
27. Batman: Hush
28. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

40. Justice League: Warworld
41. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One
42. The Batman vs Dracula
These are ALL My Most Favorite Epic DC Animated Movies throughout the years I Absolutely Love watching. God Bless Kevin Conroy's Beloved Soul Forever. 🤲🛐📿🙏
Nice
@@koolkid9836 Thanks. These are My Most Favorite Epic DC Animated Movies I Absolutely Love watching throughout the years of the DC Universe.
Batman Year 1 is a masterpiece
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm features a great look back at the beginnings of Batman's war on crime while giving fans yet another stellar performance from longtime collaborators Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill.
I was hoping Batman vs the TMNT would be on this list. It was so good that it deserves a sequel
William Baldwin, Mark Harmon, Gina Torres and James Woods provide a unique voice cast in Crisis on Two Earths, the story in which the Justice League fight their evil counterparts from another universe. These days, thanks to the likes of Crisis on Infinite Earths, the DC multiverse of movies and television shows is normal but Crisis on Two Earths was one of the first animated films to delve into the concept.
Superman vs. The Elite is a dedicated and exceptionally animated adaptation of the story arc, "What's So Funny about Truth, Justice and the American Way."
8:28 "Send me the bill"
Clark I own the building you work at, you're paying me with my own money
The Death of Superman (2018)
Jerry O'Connell really gets his chance to shine with his Superman. It certainly makes changes to the story to fit in the DC Animated Movie Universe but only enough to make it work.
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is a psychological thriller that works as a bittersweet epilogue to Batman: The Animated Series. Mark Hamill's Joker return is thrilling and scary, with Batman's legendary enemy giving the new Terry McGinnis the toughest battle yet.
DC animated movies are best
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse puts Superman in a big brother-type role that makes his character much more relatable than he normally is as an all-powerful alien.
Flashpoint Paradox is such a good movie that almost perfectly mirrors the comic book!
I wish Giganta from Justice League/Justice League Unlimited would get her own movie.
Me Too Cause “Giganta” From The “Justice League/Justice League Unlimited” TV Shows Is My Favorite Villain Character Indefinitely :-)😈🦹🏼♀️📺
@@jonathanhahn6955 She has quite the appeal for sure.
@@gianthand8130 she would be the antagonist in a Wonder Woman movie....and she likely won't get it because DC would like to focus on lesser known villains...and Giganta's Diana's second most iconic villain after Cheetah and just ahead of Ares and the witch.
@@timepilotcluefinder94 Giganta has not had the big screen treatment though.
@@gianthand8130 and she probably won't.
I loved Crisis on Two Earths, mostly because of Owlman. I hope he comes back in another movie, even if it's a different version of him.
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse features Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly and Susan Eisenberg, who have worked together as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in other DC animated movies and television series.
Pepper in stunning animation, fascinating character development and the enduring vocal talents of both Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker, and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm became the trailblazer for serious animated superhero movies.
I feel like your #3 and #4 should have been #1 and #2 respectively, but it's good to see these movies get some recognition, they're mostly fantastic. I like to imagine a world where DC got a clue 15 years ago and got the teams behind these movies to do their cinematic universe. They would have actually rivalled the MCU had they done that.
Return of the Joker is a thrilling way of creating a new story while building on the mythology fans know so well.
First ☝️ Kevin Conroy is the best Batman.
You are not first cineneard
And second?
And you're right.
At the emotional center of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is the Flash himself coming to terms with the sense of loss. The Flashpoint Paradox established a grittier and more mature version of the DC Universe and set expectations for stories that dealt with the characters on a more personal level, and that was a big step for animation as a storytelling medium.
Every aspect of the production was excellent, earning the LEGO Batman Movie numerous award nominations and wins. This was a self-aware, reference packed spectacle of a movie that was just plain fun to watch. The humor was clever, and brought something for both children and their parents in the audience to enjoy, resulting in a movie that is delightful no matter who is watching.
This jaw-dropping ultimate confrontation in the Flashpoint Paradox goes down in history for its intense visuals.
red hood changed my life
Assault on Arkham is a solid entry into DC's animated lineup, and a worthy expansion of the world of the very popular video games that moves beyond Batman and fleshes out several characters that might not get the spotlight otherwise.
The Crime Syndicate is an intimidating force that will stop at nothing for complete control, and seeing the evil versions of these iconic characters interact with each other is a treat. Crisis on Two Earths features fantastic animation that makes every moment more impactful as the movie pits the Justice League of America against formidable counterparts who do not share their morals.
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies was the first of a series in the DC Universe of original movies. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse was a sequel that introduced the modern Supergirl.
Wonder Woman brought Diana's epic origins to the small screen. Green Lantern: First Flight explored Hal Jordan's origin and training with the Green Lantern Corps. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths introduced the multiversal Crime Syndicate. Justice League: Doom saw the Legion of Doom assemble to take down the Justice League of America.
Courage mec ! Tes vidéos sont top et je suis triste de savoir le coût qu elle ont pour toi. Et je pense que même si elle baisse en qualité, l audience sera la.
Bravo pour ton éthique et tes valeurs. J espère que ça ira mieux pour toi
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm has the same playful energy as Batman: The Animated Series, while presenting a suspenseful mystery story.
First Flight is a great first step for those looking to explore the Green Lantern mythos. Hal Jordan is the trailblazer for humans in Green Lantern: First Flight and is rendered as a character with suitable love. The action-packed sequences convey the scope of what the Green Lanterns have to offer and its stunning animation that makes the ride that much more enjoyable. They are actually comparable to the Jedi in Star Wars with their powers, uniforms and roles as peacekeepers, and will be a huge hit for Star Wars fans looking for a new fix.
With its compelling plot and large DC cast, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies makes for an engaging thrill ride that keeps you guessing at every turn. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies was a commercial success and saw Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly reprised their respective roles from the DC Animated Universe as Batman and Superman.
Mask of the Phantasm amplifies everything that made Batman: The Animated Series so great, from the style to the writing to the voice acting.
Voices like Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly and Susan Eisenberg all excel once more. The animation is some of the best of the DC movies and the fight scenes are a lot of fun. Justice League: Doom features one of the first and best times Cyborg became a Justice League member.
The Death and Return of Superman was the best IMO
There was NEVER a doubt that "Mask of the Phantasm" would take #1. Much like The Animated Series set the bar for Batman shows, this movie did so for animated movies. Mark Hamill's Joker's laugh at the very end was downright CHILLING. Kevin Conroy inspired me to want to become a voice actor, and I am beyond sad that I will never get to thank him for giving my favorite superhero, not A voice, but THE voice. R.I.P. Kevin Conroy. Thank you for everything.
Under the Red Hood brings in several beloved Batman characters for a compelling and complex story.
Justice League: Doom had beautiful animation, great action sequences, and a returning cast of DC Animated Universe actors reprising their iconic roles.
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is anchored by great vocal performances, a playful tone and a fun art style that is easy on the eyes.
Batman vs Robin is about Damian Wayne finding his own path, and his complex background makes it so that he can still easily go in either direction. Batman vs Robin explored their complicated relationship and the Court of Owls. Batman vs Robin makes for a much more interesting Damian Wayne and is perhaps one of the best insights into the character onscreen.
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse exposes us to a more paternal side of the Big Blue Boy Scout as he teaches Kara Danvers what it means to live on Earth while guiding her growth and journey towards following in the footsteps of her cousin as a superhero.
The thing about Mask of the Phantasm in comparison to Under the Red Hood is that while Under the Red Hood is widely considered among the best animated Batman films, Mask of the Phantasm is considered one of the best interpretations of Batman there is.
🎬 Absolutely love your top 20 DC picks! 🦸♀️💕
Both the Justice League and the Crime Syndicate have fighting styles and personalities. Yet what makes Crisis on Two Earths for some engaging dialogue and action is the difference between the two groups: the Justice League of America has the strong sense of justice while the Crime Syndicate has the strong sense of dominion.
Mask of Phantasm will always be my fav it got me into the DCAU movies and reminded me why I became such a big fan of Batman and of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill’s voice of Joker
Lauded by many fans as one of the greatest Batman stories ever written, Batman: Year One is a dark, gritty and mature adaptation that longtime fans and newcomers can enjoy. Batman: Year One is a prime example of what makes DC animated films so successful.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is dark, epic and features one of the best story arcs for the Flash in DC history.
What makes Justice League: Doom as a suspenseful viewing and an interesting story is because the film sees how the team handles its internal business, while fighting an enemy.
Dark knight returns is my favorite. Frank miller's art style brings me a lot memories opening that comicbook for the first time.
My top movies, are Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, does Batman vs. TMNT count? Cause I really enjoyed that one, Crisis on Two Earths, Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War, and Batman Ninja, that was quite a watch.
Good to see #1 is the correct and only answer.
Justice League: Doom was one of the last and best projects Dwayne McDuffie worked on before his tragic passing. Justice League: Doom features the same great dialogue and character dynamics that made Dwayne McDuffie one of the best in the business.
Was hoping Wonder Woman: Bloodlines would be on here but thanks for putting the ‘09 film on the list! Can’t believe it never got a sequel despite being the 4th highest grossing animated DC film in DVD sales. Hoping we won’t have to wait 10 years after each animated Wonder Woman film before another comes out.
Batman: Under the Red Hood is an excellently written film that is filled with plenty of surprises that should appeal to any fan of the Dark Knight and the web of characters that come from him.
The actual death of Superman battle was better realized in the first installment to have a more emotional punch.
Will you be making a list for animated Marvel movies?
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is a great introduction for Supergirl, while the animated movie features some of the best teamwork of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Big Barda.
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is one of the more interesting Justice League films, as they tackle a difficult conflict that sets them against villainous versions of themselves.
I wish they’d add more of these to streaming services. God tier
The Death of Superman lives up to its name as the movie was based on the comic book storyline of the same name.
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths pushes the boundaries of the DC Universe of Animated Movies at this point in time and exploring alternate dimensions and evil versions of the Justice League.
Thank you, Kevin.
The Death of Superman stands out as the best version of a significant comic book storyline due to its intense action, which does not treat animation as a reason to tone things down.
I loved deathstroke knights and dragons super badass and I like the dc animated movies with shiva in them cause that's my wife and deathstroke as well because he's too cool and a badass character.
My favorite is probably crisis on two earths. But I also like the red son. Sad it wasn't here. Also justice league dark.
Teen titans trouble in Tokyo was my childhood
