I love the tips on the sides! It makes total sense. The short almond is my favorite shape/length of all. I have found if I shape up my natural nails into a mini almond they last longer without breaking.
You DO NOT talk to much! This video is wonderfully similar to your early videos. You also made bedtime and breeze tonight. My son loves your voice. He asked me “how does she where those and not have damaged natural nails?” I told him you are very gentle with your natural nails and clean them before putting on new enhancements. It made him so happy to know your nails are safe. You truly are a member of the family, and we pray for you and camera man. 😘

Hey Suzie! I have a video suggestion. Could you make one about gel/acrylic allergies and some education regarding it? I've recently became allergic to gel, polygel and acrylic to the point my cuticles/finger tips blister, bleed, crack and peel :(. I love doing my nails and nail art in general so it's really disheartening to not be able to do them anymore.. I'm now researching alternative ways to do them, as well as more "hypoallergenic" or 5/9 chemical free gel products that I could possibly use without reaction.
It would be so helpful to me (and many others I'm sure) to be more well educated on gel/acrylic allergies and perhaps some alternatives for those of us who have them. Thank you and love your channel!!

Jim McConnell of Light Elegance and Liz Morris of The Nail Hub have done some videos about this, separately and together. The one they did together was fairly recent and is posted on both their channels. Jim discusses the chemicals that are most likely to result in allergies, things to look for on labels, and how to get more information from the safety data sheets. Liz asked some great questions that clarified the information and provided a nice summary. That video may not have all the information you want but will definitely provide a foundation.

Since I type and use an adding machine and, also, do a lot of work with hammers, drills and other tools I need the short nail. Thanks Suzie.

I think of the slimming of the sidewall areas in terms of 'beveling' the edges.
My pet peeve is "Chicklet" nails where the thickness is the same over the entire nail plate surface like a slab of concrete. I realize that some clients/techs prefer this look, but my/my clients' preference leans more towards the natural look.
I do mostly pedicures,so I am not as fast with my nail enhancement services. With that said, my clients don't mind the longer service time because they know that when they walk out, their enhancements will look natural. The cuticle area, sidewalls, and free edge will be beveled without the bulk.

Well this was a perfectly timed video. I wear my nails long and square but I need to shorten them and always hate how they look short. I'll be giving this a go at the weekend!

I'm going to try this. My nails are tiny, my pinky nail is so small I only need ONE swipe of a narrow polish brush LOL Baby nails and shorty chubby fingers lol.... I try to keep my nails long so they don't look so chubby but never thought of doing this shape, it looks very good!! ANd practical!! Thank you!!
