It seems like they could integrate with crossfit, at least for the common workouts with a preset "murph" format that could track your muscle strain accurately. Could integrate with your crossfit group, coach could have the preset workout and everyone in the group gets it, etc. - Also as you say would be great to see muscle dynamics eventually looked at.
Thanks for the video, my problem is I use strength training as part of my bike routine, I can get a recovery score of 80% + the morning after a Squat session suggesting I’ve recovered enough to do a hard bike ride ! yet I can hardly walk up the stairs due to muscular fatigue, is muscular fatigue incorporated into the recovery in the strength trainer update ?
No it's not taking it into account! Recovery is based on HRV almost completely, regardless of strength training impact on muscles. I don't like it either.
Im using strentgh trainer everytime, before it was just activity and it was more around cardio. My strain increased for sure but I think more valuable think is to follow your sets also weights of previous exercises so that I don't need an additional app to track my each set. Hope they add more exercise to select or at least let us create our own exercise.
Love the reviews. Sorry as this may not be appropriate for this thread, but are you going to review the new Casio G Shock DWH5600-1? It has a gym workout function and I like the classic look of it at first glance
Great question and no worries on asking - gotta ask somewhere! I'm actually not planning to review it right now - too many mainstream devices to review first, but I'll think about it more!
New to this and it’s a cumbersome process having to add all the exercises, weights, reps, sets.. start/stop.. repeat. Just ruins the training flow, not sure it’s worth the effort to get a higher (made up) score
Definitely hit the nail on the head with the Olympic Lifts. I noticed the low reps translated over to 99% cardio each time. Probably just going to stick with the “weightlifting” category for those.
Yep! It's more useful for just focused, multi-lift days - where you do like 4-5 different movements for a few sets each. Then it will give you a higher strain score. It's basically only for that. Thanks!
Hello. Sorry to ask so many questions as i know your testing a lot of new watches. I was wondering if you saw an imorovement in HR accuracy using the whoop 4.0 bicep band?
Is there a devise that tracks all that you highlighted whoop strength training does not? Something that did some/ all of thise things would be amazing

Hey! Yes and no - not really designed for transitions or a lot of continual movements for now - but maybe someday!

Great feedback on the experience! And yes I agree - more all around would be useful. Thanks!
Hey great videos as always .. curious do you still use whoop regularly along with your Garmin ?
Hey! I do - but I never program the strength side - too much trouble. Thanks!
@@fitgearhunter yea I agree

Yep! Not terribly far off of a chest strap. But doesn't work w the Strength profile as much bc you're supposed to wear on the wrist
Amazing videos as always. How would you compare it (whoop) to a garmin 965 ? 🙂
