My goal at THEE BURGER DUDE is to show vegans and non-vegans alike how easy it is to make delicious and decadent vegan meals. I used to eat a lot of meat and dairy before going vegan, so this channel is aimed at people like myself before going vegan. Additionally, I totally welcome any vegans who might be missing one of their favorite fast food or comfort food meals as well, come on in! This would be good with Gardein Crab Cakes or Fishless Fillets as well. I just had one at a pop up, they use slaw in the sandwich and it's seriously delish!

Ooo this looks great! To amp up the "ocean" flavor, I add furikake or nori to the marinade and to the batter

What I also use is the Gardein Fishless filets. Works great!
Also, with the plant milk, make sure it's also unflavored. lol. I've made the mistake of being in a hurry and grabbing Silk unsweetened vanilla milk. lol

Yes absolutely. I've made a shrimp torta where I seasoned and grilled them and it was great!
rhyam737 I have pan fried them with seasoning, but me and my family's favorite way to eat them is when I beer batter and deep fry them. Yum!

My favorite vegan shrimp is by Be Leaf. They taste great, they are a decent large size, and the bright orangey color makes them look pretty close to shrimp. When you bite into them, they look just like shrimp and the texture is very close. I beer battered them and fried them, and my mom thought they were really shrimp lol. 😂 Be Leaf also makes my favorite vegan bacon..yum. There's a vegan Chinese restaurant I drive to where I can buy both of these products frozen in large quantities. They are expensive, but so worth it. I've also ordered them from Vegan Essentials online. They also have fried eggs. The white part is freakishly realistic with the skin. I highly recommend this brand.
you can probably use cashews, jackfruit, or mushrooms as substitute for shrimp as well.

I’ve yet to find a good seafood replacement, I’m excited to try some new ones.
Try Be Leaf shrimp and Gardein's fish fillets. I make my own scallops from king oyster mushrooms. Their texture looks exactly like scallops, it's crazy! I wish we could show pics on here!! I use the first half of Gaz's (Avantegardevegan) recipe, but instead of pan frying & then baking them in the end I beer batter them and deep fry them. I also beer batter and deep fry the shrimp. They are all so delicious!
I have made scallops from oyster mushrooms and they are awesome....I tend to end up using them fir my pulled bbq “chx” sandwich tho...I love that mushroom! I’ve seen the gardein fish fillets, I’ll have to give it a try! Thanks.
@@-raymond-2337 Cool, and I love that mushroom too! I've also used it for BBQ pulled pork. Often I'll just saute them with olive oil, garlic, and other veggies. The meaty texture of it is awesome! Let me know what you think of the Gardein fillets, I think they're delicious! I deep fry them, because to me the batter is the best that way, and my bf actually thought they were Gorton's the first time I served them lmao! Beer batter is my favorite, so I've done that to them too. Yum
