- I have a new power washer and with less than 1/2 hour of boiling a deer skull and less than 1/2 hour power washing I FINISHED a European deer hear mount!!! Unreal how fast and easy it was to do...you gotta see this!! The Echo PW3100 was awesome at taking off the skull junk fast and easy!!
Chris, I forgot to mention, I use Dawn in the boil to degrease and I remove the ear Buds to create a lager hole to help wash out the Brain matter. :)
Yup, I have found that with the higher PSI soap does not matter much. And yes, busting out the ear buds is on an upcoming video.
Hey Chris, this may or may not matter to you, but here's a tip: If you put some powdered laundry detergeant in the water when you boil, it loosens the skin even faster and will degrease the skull also. That will give you a nicer natural bone look when you're finished.
That's a nice collection you've got there! Congrats on the trophys!
Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try!
The system you use is great!!! I use a 1700 PSI power washer so that I don't create any holes in the skull, I use the softest tip. I boil for 30 minutes, then have to re-dip for another 10-15 minutes. I have a 3200 PSI washer too. I think I will try it this way too. Carefully of course!! LOL!! I will boil less time and use the 3200, I will do it on one of my own kills though. There is a Javelina hunt coming up in Feb. Thank you very much for sharing.
Thanks...The higher PSI power washer is great...make quick work of it with less work.
After watching so many videos of skull mounting diy. I was about to give up when I came across your video. We have never tried it before but after watching your video, I think we are going to try it. I have watched it like a hundred times, just so I can remember how and how long to boil it. So definitely going to try it but on some older mounts and smaller ones first. Besides I'm a little tired of paying my husband's brother to do it for us and him taking forever to get it back. He really charges more than our deer processer does. So, wish us luck and I will let you know how it turns out,
If I get a nice one a turkey cooker will be on my Santa list. Thanks Mr. Chris.
Yup, a turkey cooker makes things a lot easier!
Great job!! I do a lot of European mounts for people and you did it very fast! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video!! Often wondered how this mount was done. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks, you too!
I will be in the Blockhouse area starting next Saturday hopefully I can try your method. Good luck to your group!
Good luck on your hunt! We beaver trap in that area!
Hi nice work Chris love your work nice Deer mount (Ty Ron
Thanks!!
you made that look easy . Im going to have to try to do one myself. I just had one done for $120. I dropped it off on Monday after work and he had it done Thursday.
It is easy with the new pressure washer!
👍🏻👏👍🏻 Those ate DANDYS !!
Thanks for watching!
Boy your cooker and new pressure washer made short work of that skull cleaning job.
Thanks for showing your methods and tools.
Thanks! I love my new pressure washer!
Lot of antler in your office. Nice do it yourself euro mount. Another way to expand the deer hunting experience.
Yep, it's part of the fun!
Hi Chris!!😀😀
Nice buck!! Last week you could have sat in my livingroom with your crossbow and opened the window and shot one just a little bigger 15 feet away as it was chasing does around the house. Lol. We have pictures of him.
20 inche spread 8 inch g two's .
The new pressure washer sure works better than Eric,'s dose.
Take care buddy!!😀💚
Yup, the bucks have been romancing the does everywhere for a couple weeks now! That buck sounds like a good one! Let me know if you want me to ventilate him! Haaaa!
@outofthewoodyard he is actually a small one. We had a pair of 160 class boys fighting in the field in front of the house the same night about 100 yards away for about 8 minutes before one finally gave up and they both left. It was the first time I ever saw a real fight like that in person. The fight drew 3 more buck's out of the woods that just watched them. It was crazy!! LOL!!
I've done one with a Turkey cooker and pressure washer and it's fast and I hydro dipped a couple, I'm trying to get the hang of it, it's good enough for me like you said there not going in a museum lol
Sounds like you're getting the hang of it!
Thanks for this,I've just been hanging mine to rot off but take forever,I'm with you though I like the bone look, without whiteners
Thanks for watching!
Some beautiful bucks. Making European mounts is messy work. You need one of the custom HWM deer tag mounting boards to dress up some of the Europe mounts 😉 Echo makes some nice equipment.
Thanks...Yup, messy, but worth it! Yes I have a few of their products....nice stuff that just works!
Hi guys, what are the deer tag mounting boards Heath? Great content thanks! Merry Christmas!
Nice vegetarian mounted. Nice touch👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
That came out great
Thanks!!!
I use a hole saw to enlarge the hole in the back of the skull to make cleaning everything out easier
Yup, I have done that before too...good tip!
good job!!!!!
Thanks!
Hey Chris. Congratulations Not only are you a great worker , a trapper and now I see all these mounts . Question do you eat the meat . Thanks for sharing. Craig. Pa.

Just working this don't know why I missed it.
Thanks for watching Sir David!
What tip (angle) did you use on the pressure washer?
Sorry, I asked too soon, 😂
15%
Thanks for asking!
use a turbo nozzle and you will never look back..
okay!
Great stuff, very knowledgeable and good work, but why diminish someone's preference because they like a 'whitened' mount? i.e. ... "should stay in the salon".
I am not diminishing it i just don't like it.
@@outofthewoodyard have you ever tried putting a couple scoops of oxi clean in your water? It not only helps stuff fall off faster, but will give the skull a uniform shade of white, whether super bright or dull white, depending how much you add.
Heck yea just found this channel 🦾🎯. Would be great to hang with you for a few days. Woodward, hunting, trapping, butchery, furs, mounting your inspiration is priceless. How much would you charge a young family to teach them these things ? So many family’s in need of this education. I will admit at 40 I want to learn more.
I post a new video every day on my IN The Woodyard channel, there are 1600 videos for you to watch and I post a new on on this channel every Saturday and there is a bunch of videos there too!
