    Visiting Beirut during the early weeks of the Revolution was such an eye-opening experience for us! The people were so warm and kind and showed us how much they loved and believed in their country! Thank you to all who made our time there so special! And just out of curiosity, what do you find so special about Lebanon?

      @ONWorldTravel  3 года назад +1

      Based on our experience in November 2019 - we felt safe. Even during the revolution. Lebanese people were very friendly to us. (and go GOD is their food amazing 🤤)
      It's always a good idea to try to blend. Don't dress flashy or look like a vulnerable tourist lol Practice situational awareness and make sure not to go out at night alone, etc.
      If we were going now, we'd do some youtube searches and see if other travelers are talking about their experience now. And do a google search to see what the current state of the country is like.
      Hope that helps! If you get the chance to go - safe travels!

    Forgive my tough words .. but it's due to my tough environment and circumstances... You think you're brave enough visiting Lebanon at the revolution period?
    Then lucky you that you didn't visit Iraq at our revolution period 😏
    It was simultaneous with Lebananese one .. but if you were there .. you'll find the same respect and welcoming from the people here .. similar to Lebananese one .. but you may suddenly start escaping with the protesters and you don't why .. if you're lucky .. you'll not get shot by a sniper blowing up your head only for peacefully protesting.. or more like a tear gas bomb with a half kilogram of Iron mass planted in your head ..
    but at least people will know that you were killed or injured.. they will immediately carry you to the hospital they will AID you .. but what if you entered an alley and then got kidnapped by militia members who are hiding among the protesters?
    with up to 1000 casualties and 25000 injured .. compared to the Lebnanese revolution which got only 2 casualties .. one of them was Iraqi person 🤦‍♂️
    STAY SAFE IN YOUR COUNTRIES.. AND LET US , THE ONES WHO ARE BY COINCIDENCE BORN IN SUCH A DIFFERENT PIECE OF LAND FACE OUR FATE OURSELVES.
    and let the media portray us as terrorists and rioters as much as they like .

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  4 года назад +2

    بصراحة خاب ظني في لبنان بعد رؤية هذا الفيديو! فما نراه في الإعلام اللبناني يصور لنا لبنان كسويسرا و لكن المباني تشبه المباني الشعبية في البرازيل و حتى الحديثة منها لا صفة و لا ذات! فقط طوابق متراصة دون احساس جمالي! كما أن الناس شكلهم عادي او فوق تحت المتوسط! إلا ما ندر! و ما أستغربته وسط مئة شاب فتاة واحدة !الكل حولها و لا أظن أن ذلك على حسن نية! بل يبدو كتحرش! فمثلا لو كان عدد الرجال يضاهي النساء كنت أصدق حسن النية! لكن حبهم للحياة يظهر في الغناء و الرقص! وهذا أرفع له القبعة
