Hey y’all :) We hope this vlog inspires you to show kindness to a stranger like the locals showed us today ❤️ And of course hope this makes you hungry 😉 Enjoy!
Actually I am from. Lebanon, and I am very happy that you enjoyed our cuisine. And I want to tell you that I discovered your channel about 4 days ago and i have spend all the time since that day watching your videos since the begening and i never get bored. So thank you for that gorgeous content 😁😁😁!!!
Hi kara and Nate !!! I know it's random but please come to palistine 😳😳 And if y come to Bethlehem I could give y a tour around for free LOVE YOU I know this is never gonna happen!!
I have been to over 52 countries. LEBANON is definitely my favorite destination EVER!!!! I have been there 3 times! Amazing country, breathtaking nature, picturesque sites, wonderful architecture, very friendly people, awesome beaches, very yummy food (I mean really really YUMMY!!!!) and it is very safe!!!!! BEIRUT HAS IT ALL ❤️❤️❤️
It's really heart-warming to see that some people like you are actually seeing the reality of our country! If you need any recommendations when you come back let me know i can recommend amazing places. Cheers!

Thanks Nate and Kara for changing these pre-concieved notions that the media has tried to portray in all these years! Who knew Lebanon would be so safe and welcoming? :) I'm so glad I was wrong! Now Beirut is definitely on my travel list. The government should hire you guys to promote tourism here :D

So grateful you’re introducing people to the beautiful welcoming Lebanon i’ve always known. Media tends to constantly showcase a bad image of the Middle East in general but i’m glad you decided to discover it yourself. I hope you loved my country as much as I do, come back soon❤️🇱🇧
It makes me so happy to see people like you in my country. Thank you for showing Lebanon's good image, rather than the image seen on the news. Much love to both of you!! ❤️🤩👍🇱🇧
The best thing about Lebanon is that food brings all walks of life together in every corner of Lebanon. I hope you come to Lebanon again so I can give you a proper tour of my beautiful country Lebanon. 💙
I have never been in Lebanon, but I have so many Lebanese friemds here in the Philippines and they are all students. I find them so friendly and hospitable ❤️
The instant camaraderie you feel from eating a meal with strangers is such a great experience! I was just in Peru and had an impromptu breakfast with individuals from Guatemala, the UK, the USA, and a couple from Bahrain. It was unplanned, we all had arrived at the restaurant at the same time and there was only one large table available. It was so much fun! I loved that you all had breakfast together and that both of you (as always) welcomed the help. The world is such an amazing place and I love that you show the side of countries that's not portrayed by the media. The negative side is always sensationalized whereas the kindness and hospitality is typically more accurate.
You two are just the best! After watching your vlogs for a few years now I feel like you are just some of my friends that happen to be traveling the world, and I think that is how the people you meet in your travels must feel. You just radiate this open, kind, curious energy and make the world a better place.
I love when my hubby & I have experiences like that. We never had a meal with strangers, but we met a lovely man in Shanghai a few years back who helped us when we were lost and I'll never forget the experience.
Love you all so much! In my opinion, you all are the most loving, open, respectful travel vloggers in the business. If only everyone did this, we would have world peace and understanding for all cultures, especially for their food! Food brings us all together. Thank you for being such a positive FORCE in the world, ya'll! From a fellow Tennesseean and UTK alum.
Whoa! Nate loved the Knafeh so much he forgot the camera thing and let Kara vlog! 😂😂 Look at him walking behind her. 😂 Do you know what sucks about watching the foodie part? There is nothing like this where I live. Nate's face saying the lamb testicles are good. 😂
So glad to see Nate up and about and just being happy, optimistic Nate! Kara, was totally fascinated by your descriptions of each food you were trying! Thanks for giving us a reference point to each dish. It made the food relatable and gave us an incredible vision of exactly what it must taste like! Not surprised at all by the two friendly men at the restaurant. Anyone who meets you can instantly observe the aura of kindness that you present to others! Take care. Happy Travels.
This is back to form for you guys. The last few months' worth of vlogs felt a little sanitized. This was just magic! Watching you explore and discover is sooo much better than giving us a guided tour!
I love how locals just invited you to eat with them. That's so phenomenal. How sweet were those guys?? You know how much I love your food tours! So excited!!
@@KaraandNate They were so sweet and hospitable! I mean, it's like finding a hidden treasure when things like that happen. I think it makes for the best experiences!
I'm Lebanese & I had a similar experience yesterday while having lunch at 'Le Chef' in Ashrafieh with a good friend, as the resto was mostly packed with French & Spanish tourists. Everyone was enjoying some local cuisine & smiles were everywhere, the atmosphere was vibrant & truly pleasant! Enjoyed mixing up with a few tourists that kept repeating to what extent they were rejoicing the culture, the food & the people ❤️ The locals here truly go beyond their way, they are welcoming beyond belief, glad you are experiencing Lebanon as it should be experienced! ❤️❤️❤️
I remember watching your old videos and Kara sort of being hesitant to visit the Middle East and I got so happy when she says how she loves the Middle East now! As a Canadian who loves to learn about new countries, your channel is doing great! Keep up the good work!
When I was in Sri Lanka recently I was doing a guided tour of the city just by myself with a guide. I asked him where should I go for dinner and he took me to this little street food stall in the middle of a very non-touristy part of Colombo. There was this group of Sri Lankan men sitting around about to eat, and they told asked to come and join them which I did. We all basically just ended up having this big feast on a plastic table on the side of the road, it was absolutely delicious! A lot of them were tuk tuk drivers so told me about their lives doing that, in quite broken english, but it was just a wonderful experience! One I won't ever forget! This video made me remember that!
trying local food is the best way to connect with any country's culture.. especially sharing a table with locals, getting all types of food and sharing stories of the city and history. by enjoying food, it shows that we are all similar in having great food and everybody can get along just great through food. its a win win situation if we all appreciate everyone and their culture... a world can be a better place for all through the love of food...YES, no better way to start your day for breakfast than having some juicy testicles...
I'm loving your middle eastern countries vlog, really changing the perception about these places!! Nobody captures the local culture like you guys😍 I love how Kara is always the first one to try out all the "exotic " foods and then Nate warms up😂😂
Great job on this video. Showing us all that places that many would deem off limits are really not scary or inhospitable in the least. I agree with you Kara... when you let yourself engage with locals the true experiences emerge. Love how you guys approach travel.😀
I was just watching the old videos of yours from 2016 and now I'm the latest one! You guys have evolved amazingly!❤️ I admire you both because of your simplicity and respectful manners! Love you guys! ❤️

Kara, you and I are kindred foodie spirits! I love watching your face light up when you try something that you love! Thank you for sharing these fun vlogs!
You guys! Not only was this a great video (as always!) but its so important! You guys are doing important work portraying the middle east for what it really is; As Americans, we need more of these videos! thank you for this!
I love your passion on food, and always embracing the culture. Also, enjoying the local people, I Love seeing your both you and the kindness you give to others.
Hi Kara & Nate! Still home recovering from spine surgery. I'm all caught up. I've watched ALL your vlogs. The Maldives were by far the most beautiful place I've seen. Every country is so interesting and I'm learning so much. Can't wait for the next vlog. Love you guys!
I LOVE that man that ate with you guys and introduced everything. He’s such a well spoken gentleman really just wants you guys to have a great experience on a relaxing morning for him. Side note I was wondering why all the food seemed so familiar until I realised I always go to this middle-eastern bakery for lunch and it’s LEBANESE but I forgot that it was because we just go there because the food is so good! You see everyone of all cultures and backgrounds there and once when I ate there, the older Lebanese couple next to us actually suggested dishes to us and were a lot like that guy you guys ate with. So lovely!!
such a lovely place and the people seem so amazing, anywhere else in the world you leave something it will most likely get stolen, but the fact the man put to the side and watching over until you came back was great, not something you see everyday.
I found you guys about a year ago... I love the whole Jordan series, but this video made me fall in love with you two. The way you honor local people just shows your heart. I've now re-watched from the very start and can't wait to see where you go next!!! :D
I love that you're visiting places with a not so great reputation in recent history and showing the beauty and culture of it. I grew up hearing about Beirut on the news and would have never thought to visit. But the people, food and culture shown here has changed my mind! ❤
Same goes to all countries of the world, we always have a specific ideas about places formed by media mostly, it is always different when you actually experience things for yourself.
You guys are so kind. I'm glad you had a good time there. You made me so hungry. I've never seen so many kind comments about my country. Thank you guys.
You guys make me so happy! You guys are always so positive no matter what the situation is! It’s *GREAT!* It’s fantastic how you guys are so confident with meeting locals! When I come home from school I’m so excited to see what you guys got up to! Just wanna let you guys make my day just that little bit better!❤️ Even though I’m still very young you guys inspire me to follow my dreams! I finally got to visit my favourite country since I was 4! I got to visit Italy! It was amazing! We went on a huge cruise through the Mediterranean Sea! It was an experience of a lifetime! Thanks to you guys I got to follow my dream!❤️

Your last few videos have really opened my eyes to the people and culture of those areas. I was totally amazed at how friendly the people were to Americans. You are very blessed to get to travel and meet others for a living. Keep it up my whole family loves to watch your adventures!
I have been following you both for a while and from watching your "100 countries documentary" realized you visited my home country! Thank you for showcasing true people and the true essence of countries falsely portrayed in the media. It was so cool to see 12:16 you were at a great cafe called Oliver's in Gemmayze where we used to host story telling and poetry nights. I wish you both health, happiness, and light!

Well... I'm binge-watching all of K&N's videos, and I just LOVE the way Kara describes the food she eats. It's just like eating it myself! No "it's good" or "it's bad" (not like Kara would ever think any kind of food tastes bad lol), but "the yogurt has that sourness that yogurt has but it's balanced with the tahini"... LOVE IT!!
Really thanks for the great videos. Especially Bangladesh the areas you went to I would never ever dream of going there was amazing. and the fact you don't travel first class you go with the local amazing. Love from Melbourne Australia

I can't wait for more. I have started planning some trips of my own and owe it all to you. Thank You So Much.
Arabic people are one of the most friendliest people you could ever meet on the planet earth. Too bad that they are always portrayed in a negative light in western media. Same thing goes with "Russian's as well. But this video showed how warm, friendly and easy to approach Arabic people are. They never say no and they always offer you something when you join them if they are having food, even if you are a stranger. This was a wonderful video Kara and Nate. Thank you so much :) Shukran habibi!
I was in Beirut two week ago and I found this restaurant through TripAdvisor I asked the waiter what would you suggest and he suggested fatten and testicle ( which I didn’t know) but It was good though. I found through this video that I had testicle.

Lamp testicle is a delicacy in Lebanon.

When I was a kid growing up in Beirut, I used to eat Kunafa jibn every morning!!!
You two compliment one another so well!
Great video. Can't wait for part 2!!! The strangers you met were awesome!! That's the best way to travel, meet new people. Loved this episode..
I went to el soussi last sunday morning ... amazing ... loved it .. going back again.. the fatteh is out of this world

Your last few videos have really opened my eyes to the people and culture of those areas. I was totally amazed at how friendly the people were to Americans. You are very blessed to get to travel and meet others for a living. Keep it up my whole family loves to watch your adventures!
I've been waiting for this impatiently!!!!! so Glad you're enjoying Lebanon :) And the way you prnounce Lahm b aajin is so cute ahaaaa
Hahah sorry for the wait!!
Hey thank u so much Kara and nate for ur visit to Lebanon i am lebanese lebanese and a lot of people have a bad view about my beautiful contry on the internet so thank u for showing and changing people's perspectives on lebanon 🇱🇧🙏😄😄❤️❤️
I love Kara's facial expressions of delight when she experiences a new food she likes!
You guys have inspired and excited me so much to study abroad this summer!!! I’m going to Holland, Germany, Denmark, and then to Switzerland to hike the Alps for a week. I feel like I’ve learned so much from you guys! So thank you!!!
0:57... The way she said it "I don't know what he asked" make me laugh so hard that I coughed and spat my food at my mum 😂😂😂
Sometimes plans should be forgotten. Those are or can be the best days. You guys are great and loved the video.

I did it! Today I have caught up on all of your videos. I can't think of a time that watching youtube videos have brought me so much happiness. It was like reading an amazing book with twists and turns, happiness and doubt. I want to thank you for all you do because it makes the world see how things are away from where we are. I can't wait for more. I have started planning some trips of my own and owe it all to you. Thank You So Much.

Kara and Nate that’s great news 😄
Arab hospitality is unparalleled
Thank you so much for these great words u said about my country much of love and most welcome ❤
Lebanon and the area near have never been on my radar of places to go to ...but now....YUM! Let's do this!
It wasn’t on ours until recently. It’s amazing how much travel can teach you! Now this is one of our favorite regions of the world ❤️❤️❤️
@@KaraandNate I love your videos and can't wait to start traveling more. A teacher's salary isn't cutting it right now, but it will happen someday! 🥰
You guys always get me excited for my next travels! All the delicious food and incredible cultures you immerse yourselves in is truly beautiful!
That’s so nice Aislinn! ❤️
That was the best laugh I've had yet from you guys. Nate's comment, "This feels very wrong, you feeding me . . you know what . . "
“This feels wrong. You feeding me ‘you know what’” 😂
Ugh, I love Lebanese food! Thank you for taking us on your food tour. 😍
I cried laughing at that too!
