My thing is... they need to use their dragons more effectively. I would have burned that entire forest dine! That day would have been Crispy Creme's last day standing.
It was out of her hands. Remember when Allicent ran to tell Otto what Viserys said to her, he just looked at her like “Yeah.. ok 🙄” as they were already plotting to put Aegon on the throne as soon as she walked in and she even realized that
Alicent has no real control. Rheayneras counsel is trying to do the same. They don’t respect women. Aegon is spoiled, he’s going to do what he wants and if she try to stop him, it would be treason.
It’s like I get why Rhaena is upset, it’s the Girlboss team and she wants to be a part of it, but at the same time she’s getting a free pass to live instead of the likely outcome for everyone else of burning to death (I haven’t read the book it’s just my assumption in a dragon war lmao)
Sharronda, your recap was waaayyy more interesting and entertaining than this week's episode. I loved epis 1 and 2. This week's - not so much. Hopefully, next week's episode will be markedly better. Agree that Rhaenyra needs a new council. She's surrounded by a bunch of old, crusty and unwise men.
This season is a seemingly eternal setup, i imagine the later half will be satisfactory but last season was way better constructed, in a way which episodes had setup and payoff within themselves and also for the season as a whole
Alicent couldn’t go back. She can’t control Aegon. She can barely control the counsel and Ser Crispy. I’m happy Rheaynera knows she is still the true heir. Also the real tea is in the teaser for next episode where Alicent clocks Aegon 👀
Baela was the one scouting that Sir Pass Around and Alicent's brother were running from--not Rhaena. Rhaena was sent with Rhaenyra's little ones to basically be their nanny along with the dragon eggs and the little ones' dragons.
You missed one important re-introduction, in tonight’s episode. Dyana , the serving girl Aegon r@ped in season one, was the barmaid Ulf the White’s friend slapped on the behind. They held the camera on her face for along time, to make sure we recognized her. I can’t wait to see how her story plays into all of this. I have read the books, so I have an idea. But, I don’t want to spoil for the show only people.
This ain’t slow. This is the politicking of the Thrones. Did you not see Larys do his mind trick and Ser Simon see straight through him. Daemon cried and mini Rhanerya came back.
Not gonna lie this season is rough There fast traveling 2 locations way 2 fast Theres no characters we love yet other then the grandma whos with the brother .the dragons aint doing nothing.they talk for 4o minutes with no great moments among the characters.just a rush of terrible stories .this is coming from a reallllll game of thrones fan
Yeah even though Rhae told Alicent what really happened. Alicent knew deep down that Rhae was telling the truth, she pretty much told her it is what is Aegon is the King, we at war,too late. Girl bye. Ugh!!!
I mean I don't see aegon backing down now even if alicent told him because its too late, blood has been spilled. And no one on the council really listens to her anyway.
Girl that conversation between Alicent and Rhae was so pointless. Alicent doesn't have the power to unring all these bells and take her son off the throne.😆
That conversation's intention was never to stop what was happening. The point of it was that, as an audience, we knew what really happened, but the characters didn't. Now Allicent knows she messed up, and now Rhaenerya knows Allicent wasn't lying, she just misunderstood something she didn't know about. Allicent is now going to have to deal with the guilt that comes with this, and it's going to be her undoing. True to her character, Rhaenerya tried one last time to stop the bloodshed about to happen. Allicent knows her boys are dangerous, and there's no going back now.
@achohelelwhy You literally just contradicted your own initial statement. You said " the conversation ...was never to stop what was happening."Then you said she "tried one last time to stop the bloodshed." Everything about figuring out the King's true intentions was, indeed, pointless in the end because no amount of discussion between these ladies will have any impact on the impending wars. Not sure why that was so complicated for you to grasp.
@@me_not_me just because we disagree on the impact of the scene doesn't mean you need to be rude. Writers can go in with the intention of not letting the goal happen, but the scene still plays out. It was about them figuring out the root of this miscommunication.
@achohelelwhy You seem to be deliberately misunderstanding and are commenting on aspects of the show that I am not referring to. My comment was not about the writers nor the audience. I am talking about Rhae's strategy as a leader. Taking chances with her life for paltry to nonexistent rewards. So you don't need to try and explain "the point of the scene"(super rude) because I already know and wasn't asking.
Love your content and how you bring it to us!😂 You have me cracking up! When Lady Baela scared the mess out of Crison with his tail between his legs! Lady Raena is now the mother of the future king. Daemon finally has a heart, who knew! Alicent learns the truth and she will suffer for it and I can’t wait!🤓🧐Can’t wait for Adam becoming a dragon riders!
Hey Sharonda! Love your reviews of this show! You misspoke though, it is BAELA who chases ser crispy on her dragon Moondancer. Rhaena gets sent away to the vale with the 3 youngest sons of the QUEEN to keep them safe. She doesn't have a dragon. (yet) Keep you the good work!
yeah idk how I feel about this episode, it was missing THAT moment the first 2 episodes had I guess the reunion in the end was meant to be it but I felt it came out of left field & anticlimactic I feel they should’ve built it up more, also expected more set up for the battle in episode 4. I’ll hold off full judgement on it until after next weeks episode to see if its better as single watch
I watched this with my dude, for 30 minutes I stood up in front of the tv. I said I gotta pay attention the first episode😅and I was pointing shit out to him as the episode went on, cause watching it in 4K I saw alot more.
I just discovered your channel and I love your reviews. You are hilarious! I wish you werent so heavy with the spoilers for is non-book readers though. As much as I love your reviews I probably wouldn't keep up with the channel because I don't want the spoilers 🥺
In the scene at Harrenhall when Lord Strong asks Daemon "What's next" after raising the army at the Riverlands then responds with surprise when the only response is "We take King's Landing," I didn't take that as Strong being obtuse. To me, it sounded like disgust at the bourgeois aristocracy still thinking only of themselves and having no other plan for the realm than taking back, by force and at great expense to the small folk, the seat of power so they could continue doing exactly what the other guy on the throne is already doing now. It sounded to me like "Really, that's your WHOLE plan, like nothing of substance or contribution to anyone whatsoever? Why even support you?" And when Rhaena is sent off with the little guys and the baby dragons and the dragon eggs, it seems like it finally sinks in for her how important her role in this war really is and what she is being trusted to do. Is anyone else irritated AF about the missed opportunity in the sept when Rhaenyra elects NOT to explain the whole prophecy to Alicent, which might THEN make a difference in stopping this war? No, she only listens for what matters to her and leaves Alicent in the dark, which results in Alicent doubling down on her current position. Rhaenyra had all the power in this situation to form an alliance by explaining the full story on why something greater and existential at stake and she refuses, now disaster is inevitable. To me, that moment is the point of no return in this whole story. For the record, I'm still not on either side. They all brought this stupid war on themselves, Rhaenyra included, and it's not like one aristocrat over another makes any difference at all for all the civilians stuck living under these stupid monarchies. I'm just here to root for the dragons.
Yeah, I thought Rhaenyra should’ve explained in full, too. But I think Allicent realizes she know longer has any influence to change the trajectory even if she believes Rhaenyra. It’s easier for her conscious to ignore that truth.
Ray ray knows how obtuse and proud Alicent can be so I think she knew it would be useless to explain the prophecy. Alicent could not live with herself knowing that a simple misunderstanding caused the deaths of Luke and Jaeherys. Based on track record Alicent would rather delude herself into righteousness over accepting the truth.
I truly loving all the characters from each side even Larys. GoT had too many annoying mfs but HoD is doing the thing with casting and character personalities.
Sharonda, your recaps make this show so much more entertaining and fun, love it. But yes I agree its very slow this season , too slow, just 3 eps of setup.
Am I the only one that is so unimpressed with this season. Like season 1 was cool but all these episodes of season 2 have been weak sauce. Why tf are they ending so awkwardly
@NARUTOS.CLANSS - Damn, we're only getting 8 episodes for this season?! 😒 What, is HBO not making enough money from all this Ice & Fire sh*t?! lol How greedy are they gonna get?!
That was a horrible scene..gives me Game of Thrones s7 & 8 vibes. Since this story as in the booķ is already finished, it shouldn't be hard not to write in these ridiculous scenes.
@@lauracatherine9925- Yeah, they're doing a little too much fan-fiction for my liking. 😒 They got some characters doing things they'd never do, (like Alicent praying for her enemies & pleading to spare Rhaenyra's life, or Daemon being a dismissive father, choking Rhaenyra out, and killing his 1st wife)... but then they turn around & give passes to other characters (like showing Aemon-One Eye killing Lucerys "on accident") who don't even deserve it! I don't understand what their reasoning is for doing half of what they do in the show. And we been through this kind of sh*t with Game of Thrones already. I ain't going through it again. lol
Rhaena better than me baby my bags woulda been packed before you finished talking like I’m gonna be safe say less what time we leaving 🤣🤣🤣
Right?! 🥴 I'm more than happy to just hatch my dragon egg up in the Vale, away from all this madness thank you very much. lol
Meeeeeee I’d have said bye so fast. You know those boys are gonna get handmaids and tutors and sword masters, she gonna be fine 😂😂😂
😁🤣🤣Facts.
😂 right. I woulda asked if we could leave the same night. Cuz someone was able to run up on thee QUEEN… ain’t nobody safe 🤣
All I wanted was for Baela to say DRACARYS 🔥 on Cole & company !!!!
exactly 💯😂
This part 🔥
I was waaaaitinnng!!!

That’s exactly what I was saying!

Right! I know Baela would have, but the Queen told her not to engage🤷🏽♀️
Exactly smh

I don't know why Aegon thinks he is about that life when he clearly isn't. This fool would get folded in 0.5 seconds.
Like a lawn chair.
Alicent really gave Rhae the "go home, Roger!" treatment at the end and I felt some kind of way
The scene between Alicent and Rhaenyra was soooo well acted.
It’s like I get why Rhaena is upset, it’s the Girlboss team and she wants to be a part of it, but at the same time she’s getting a free pass to live instead of the likely outcome for everyone else of burning to death (I haven’t read the book it’s just my assumption in a dragon war lmao)

The caption caught my attention! Not “Alicent will forever be raggedy”!!!! Calling someone raggedy is my kind of talk! LOL!!!!
Ser Crispy contemplating his qualifications. 😂
This was classic GOT ep. Setting up the chess pieces for the board & character development
I love it when you say “ sir Chrispy” cuz he is a crusty mf
