I started my morse journey a couple of months ago. I'm using the Morse Mania app on my android smartphone. I bought the premium version and it works great. I have all 26 letters learned so far at 20WPM and a few numbers. I refuse to ever use computers for morse except for learning and practicing. Not sure I'd want to be a new CW op during field day. I think the POTA hunters would be far more willing to slow down lol. Awesome little rig there though, I hadn't heard of the morserino.
35 years ago I was working on my speed to get up to 13 WPM for General. I had a few ARRL code practice cassette tapes. I lived in Washington Pa and work was at the Pittsburgh International Airport. I would listen to the tapes on my 45 minute commute. When I went to take the code exam I found I could listen and decode at 15+ WPM. But I as I wrote the copy I would get behind since I didn't practice doing both at the same time! I began writing as I was copying and had success. Of course not while I was driving. Good luck.
@@TangoOscarMikeN3WS Yes, head copy is very good for operating. For the exam I learned to write down vital info for likely questions and kinda just "head copy" the rest. I never would have gotten the one minute perfect copy that was required in the real "Old Days".
@@jimgrazulis3542 I've been working on head copying callsigns at 22 wpm. My problem is I'll forget the first character by the time I get to the end, but I'm getting better the more I do it.
I do the same thing with Morse Ninja. You can put a ton on a usb and play them in the car. What I really like about those is the correct word/letter is said after so you know whether or not you are correct. 73, K8JLW
They shouldn’t be allow to go above 20wpm on a computer. Make a new mode and leave Morse Code alone. It can be basic and use CW but for computers and put them up with digital.
These are great practice tips. I seem to listen to CW in the car more than music. I guess it is music to the ear. Thanks for the tips. 73s

I need to get my Morserino built.
I still use mine. One of my favorite items.
Good tips!
Thanks.

I'm trying to head copy as much as I can. I still got a ways to go, but I can see why some people love CW so much.

Awesome 🎉👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Where can I find that practice device that you used in the video?
It is a Morserino 32. It is a kit that needs to be assembled, but it is pretty easy. I could help if needed. Here is a link. www.morserino.info/

Yes. That is really helpful. Red Summit RF is doing an interview with him on Sunday 6pm.
