First of all 2K subscribers. So very first. Congrats on the milestone, TO. Hope to catch this tomorrow evening.

The decoder listens to the in jack to decode cw on the air. You don't send it with the paddles. You need to connect it to an audio source such as your rig speaker output, preferably through a Y-adapter so you can still hear the audio through headphones or a separate speaker.

I believe there is an extended menu if you double click the black button but that may only be on the newer version. Just built mine and am excited to start learning morse code. Good video! Thank you!

There are a couple of suggestions for the automatic progression to the next character on the morserino forum and it's GitHub page:
    morserino.groups.io/g/main/message/3054
    GitHub:
    github.com/oe1wkl/Morserino-32/issues/36
I hope that those are implemented.

      That would be really good.

@@temporarilyoffline I think that you will need to subscribe to the morserino forum and support that idea for it to happen.

It’s not really a “toy”. Not sure that’s a fair characterization. It’s a great learning tool.

Which cw trainer is better than this one?

It's hard to say, this is a good one, there are some cell phone apps that are good too. I think the only draw back/feature here is the touch paddles act "funny" and might put you off if you are new. Check out long Island cw club if you're looking for a group environment

The difference here is you can work with sending and receiving. The cell phone applications that I found concentrate on receiving code. I like the fact that this product allows you to connect your own paddle for testing and learning.

I don’t get the complaint about the paddles. You can plug your own paddles in or a straight key!

I've seen it so many times, that people demonstrate an iambic paddle key but do not use the iambic function. See your CQ at 5:25. Just squeeze both paddles, with the dah as the first, then let loose at the correct timing. That's iambic keying! 73 de HA7RJA
