Software patents suck. As far as what Nintendo is doing palworld is so huge as a real chance that if they don't nip it in the bud it could at least become a serious pokémon competitor.
And that’s what Nintendo is doing; abusing vague copyrights to try and stifle competition. The most despicable way to compete. Compete by making a better product your fans want
They are child patents relating to patents filed before Palworld was released. Meaning Nintendo already owned the patent, but updated them with some clarifying language or examples. Also, you’re reading the classification of the patent and saying it’s too vague. Of course it’s too vague, it’s the classification. That just describes the general area in which the patent is applied, not the patent itself. If you carry on reading, it goes into very, very specific detail about what the patent is actually for. Like, thousands of words specific.
Incorect Palworlds Public Trailers Existed before the patents. You cant Patent ANOTHER companies Creation they just showed off in 2021. Same with Craftopia in 2020 You cant just STEAL IPs because the OG company wants it to be Public Domain.

and funny Nintendo is do as i say not as i do i cant count how many time they have gotten away with the same thing just look at there new music look close looks familiar right and don't forget donkey Kong that was just good lawyering by Howard Lincoln he got them that win
Maybe if Nintendo would focus on actually making good pokemon games and not on driving away it's fans with sub optimal performance and pushing woke agendas maybe palworld wouldn't have ever happened. Politics don't belong in kid's games.
I think they may be doing there wrong things for the right reasons. Nintendo didn't sue Palworld because they made money, they sued them because Pocket Pal stole lots of little things all over the place, from character designs to mechanics. And openly. Even the company name evokes Pocket Monsters. If the PokeBall had been a cassette tape, that might have helped. If the pals didn't share silhouettes and colorways and features with real pokemon, that would have helped. Nintendo is just being careful about what they sue for because they can't make a big swing and miss our the door remains open for other copy cats. Palworld had good ideas but they didn't want to differentiate themselves. But Nintendo's use of patents could be problematic if they were to use this as a club against the industry instead of a sniper rifle. There are arguments against all software patents so this may auger that sort of discussion, but that's a bigger systemic issue.
@ @ don't get me wrong, the Nintendo Lawyer Ninjas are a well established force of cruelty, but I truly believe this is something else altogether, and Pocket Pal is not the good guy in the fight. I don't think it's about money, it's about sending a message.

I own every nintendo console/handheld, but literally hate them as a company these days, its weird.
Yes when they taste success they become insufferable
Lol is Nintendo gonna sue Microsoft over Halo's sticky grenades? They are ball shaped, thrown and definitely effect the field ahead. They gonna sue every baseball league next?
Haha for real. It’s madness
Happy B-day VGE
Appreciate it!
Nintendo sues everyone in any space they are entering. What does this mean? Some sort of online Pokemon game (mmo? mmo-lite?) for Switch 2.
Highly possible. It makes the most sense
Happy Birthday!
Ya, as much as I like Nintendo, I hope Palworld and Pocket Pair succeed in this patent suit
I do too
I agree, except with the part about liking Nintendo.
Happy Birthday and thank you for taking your time out.
I don't think they will succeed, I think Nintendo will probably lose. And I don't care what the Japanese perception is it means so little from an western perspective because a few Japanese that may comment on it doesn't mean it reflects many of the Japanese opinion.
I think if Pocketpal really fights it it will go in there favor somewhat.
And I think Nintendo needs to go the way of the dinosaur.
@recon8645 they are def fighting it so that’s good
Good video, shame about Nintendo.. but happy 40th anyway! 🍻
Thanks! It’s been a fun filled weekend
Happy cake day buddy!
Thanks :)
Happy Belated Birthday.
Thanks :)
Happy belated birthday. Now back to work 😆
Haha that’s how it feels
Happy Birthday! 🎉
Appreciate it
happy birthday man enjoy
Thanks!
Happy Birthday!
Thanks!
I wouldn't be surprised if Game Freak got the idea of Poké Balls from the capsules in Dragon Ball. Akira Toriyama never got upset over that.
As nobody should get upset
With how vague the patents are it seems almost sloppy work from their legal team. I know it's japan law but, do you have a guess as to who is going to win? If nintendo wins I, along work many others, won't be happy. What would be the global blowback from this? And happy birthday!!! Hope you have great day. :D
If it’s tried on the merits you’d expect the case to not even reach a court room or to be quickly found in favor of the Palworld team
Happy birthday!
Thanks! This got me to make a video today. Damn Nintendo
Happy birthday :)
Appreciate it!
They went mad with power VGE. Welp, back to playing Neo-Geo. I don't want to be a weenie anyway. 8^)
They need to have Garfield chill
Nintendo sue over some dumb shit this is not serious whatsoever they did not Sue over Digimon😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 palworld get this in a bag
It’s clearly targeted.
Yeah, it's beyond petty and clear they just want to shut down competition when Pokemon Company is weakening.
Japan is NTSCworld ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Wild stuff
COD should watch out, throwing a grenade is eerily close to throwing a ball.
Microsoft would fucking bury Nintendo's lawyers.
Haha def affects the playfield
In a heartbeat
Start a new video series "Who is Nintendo suing this week"
I need to create a playlist at least
happy birthday. Nintendo sucks
Haha thanks
I can't wait to see the switch successor be modded or hacked at launch and emulators run it
Then Nintendo will just go even harder
Software patents suck. As far as what Nintendo is doing palworld is so huge as a real chance that if they don't nip it in the bud it could at least become a serious pokémon competitor.
And that’s what Nintendo is doing; abusing vague copyrights to try and stifle competition. The most despicable way to compete. Compete by making a better product your fans want
They need to settle this in the Battle Coliseum, Palworld vs. Pokemon!
Ash: "Watch out Pikachu, that trainer has an AK-47!" 😧
🤣 I’d watch that
They are child patents relating to patents filed before Palworld was released.
Which are still vague
Incorect Palworlds Public Trailers Existed before the patents. You cant Patent ANOTHER companies Creation they just showed off in 2021. Same with Craftopia in 2020 You cant just STEAL IPs because the OG company wants it to be Public Domain.
Nintendo is Harvey Dent turned into Two-Face, sad to see
They have become the bad guy. They are their own Bowser
They're coming for you next! Then me! Then everyone else!
They will get us all eventually
I'm scared dad! Protect me!
Hide behind the cheese
With all due respect sir, if they're coming for my fellow gamers, they'd better be carrying a *big* blaster.
Patent honestly sounds a lot like Craftopia - Pocket Pair's game that came out in 2020, where they had the throw a ball catch a monster mechanic already! 🤪
Haha it sounds like 100 diff games
and funny Nintendo is do as i say not as i do i cant count how many time they have gotten away with the same thing just look at there new music look close looks familiar right and don't forget donkey Kong that was just good lawyering by Howard Lincoln he got them that win
Nintendo wants it all for themselves
@@VideoGameEsoterica if you haven't seen there new music interface cheek it out its just you tube music
Maybe if Nintendo would focus on actually making good pokemon games and not on driving away it's fans with sub optimal performance and pushing woke agendas maybe palworld wouldn't have ever happened. Politics don't belong in kid's games.
That’s the thing…easier to sue then to be creative
But none of it rises to the level of this nonsense
@ @ don't get me wrong, the Nintendo Lawyer Ninjas are a well established force of cruelty, but I truly believe this is something else altogether, and Pocket Pal is not the good guy in the fight. I don't think it's about money, it's about sending a message.
@AldoInza the message isn’t welcome haha
@@VideoGameEsoterica suppose not :)
Happy Birthday!
Thanks!
