The Borg assimilate a Dalek. The Borg all kill themselves for not being Daleks.

I doubt the Borg could manage to assimilate a Dalek, between the energy shields, the charged dalekanium armor, the active immune system of the casing, and then the geneticly engineered biomass within. But if they did... this. Totally this. A Dalek mind in the collective would be like a existential threat to the entire species. If the whole "Evil Machines Beyond the Rim!" message of the Zhat Vash was enough to sever a Borg Cube, then a Dalek's pure xenophobia would be like gulping down a glass of pure arsenic for the Collective.

Dude, the Daleks conquer whole galaxies while the Borg hold a tiny fraction of one galaxy. The Daleks build weapons which unravel matter. The scale mismatch is just so extreme it's laughable. The fight will last approximately five seconds and end in total Dalek victory.

Borg have limited time travel, that seems to require a lot of energy and special conditions. They seem to refuse to use it in any way that the Enterprise isn't immediately on-hand to prevent. At no time have they ever just backed up the trolley and turned their canon defeats into victories.
That's what the entire Time War was, Daleks and Timelords re-writing history with buckets o Uno Reversal Cards. They got so randy with the time-dickery that they had to start subjecting their individual drones to the Time Vortex to make them achronal... and thus immune to changes in the timeline. Some Daleks have time travel built into their individual armored casings, and absolutely every Dalek starship is both a time machine and a planet buster.
I'm sorry, but saying the Borg can "time travel also" is like saying that because the Wright Brothers have flown, they are ready to take on a fleet of Harrier Jump Jets.

Remember though, the Borg don't need to capture a live or active Dalek, they'll try and eventually will get some but for a good start on acquiring Dalek tech they only need to gather parts and pieces of their wreckage and they've gained a ton of new tech. They'll eventually gain access to a wounded Dalek as well, and drain its mind of knowledge, not only Dalek tech but all of Dalek operations, tactics, culture, military structure, tech wouldn't be the only knowledge gained. The borg would likely abort attempts at assimilation after capturing 1 dalek, from then on the borg would try to destroy the daleks through a series of tactical withdrawls and punitive strikes...ultimately, the daleks would use Davros's knowledge to create a bioweapon/virus to destroy the borg collective, similar to that boy in Star Trek Voyager. the daleks have been around for thousands of years, and have unfathomably more resources over the entire universe to work with, whereas the borg only have a couple quadrants in 1 galaxy and a few hundred years at their disposal, in the event of a time war between the 2 forces.

Borg have time travel, too. One example is the travel back into earth's history to assimilate earth, and to prevent the first warp flight to happen, so there would be no Federation. Second thing to keep in mind. The Q Collective fears the Borg and has the rule not to provoke them. I think that says enough ;-) - That said, from the introduction of a queen to go from collective to a single entity to lead them, everything went a bit down hill - but I guess a collective was too abstract for the people ;-)
Commonality: Both are supposed to be super advanced, but look and move mostly less advanced as your average grandpa :-D

The Doctor Who universe already contains the equivalent of the Borg - Cybermen.
The two forces generally seem to avoid conflict with each other presumably seeing each other as too powerful and therefore preferring to postpone such a conflict for a future date after they have dealt with other less powerful species (or in the Dalek's case destroy them along with all other non-Dalek life via some other grand scheme rather than fighting - eg the Reality bomb in the New Who fourth series finale "Journey's End").
The one exception was in the New Who series 2 finale "Doomsday". when Cybermen from a parallel universe fight Daleks at Canary Wharf. The Doctor saves the day by sucking both forces into the void between universes so we don't discover whether the Daleks or Cybermen would have won.

Considering the moment the Daleks refuse an alliance two Cybermen attack one of the Daleks and it does nothing to it, and the Dalek immediately one-shots both Cybermen, I think that gives us the answer to which side would win. The Cybermen are powerful (more so than the Borg), but the Daleks are on the level of the Time Lords - they just don't compare.

We found out in season 2 of Picard that the Borg possess the abilty to monitor timeline changes and multiple time lines which to my knowledge the darleks do not. The borg also are able to communicate accross time thru temporal transceivers inplants as seen in voyager.
To me the most likely outcome would be a stalemate since the borg would become aware of any timeline changes by the Darleks and adapted accordingly. The Darleks would eventually see they can not just wipe the borg away with time travel and instead adapt to a slower course of overwhelming numbers and fire power.
Also just about forgot. It's hinted that the borg got time travel technology from the Doctor when the borg and cybermen formed an alliance which if not for the intervention of the doctor and the enterprise d crew would have resulted in both the destruction of the borg and all organic life.

The Daleks were able to take on the Time Lords, who have technology that can *eat* galaxies! The Borg wouldn't stand a chance. Their ability to assimilate is dependent on them being at least a little bit more advanced than their target. More advanced targets can overwhelm even the Collective. Remember that the Borg discovered to their great loss that Species 8472 and their otherdimensional biology could resist assimilation, while their bioships could destroy all the cubes and planets they wanted without the Borg being able to adapt.

While the Daleks do have time travel, they don’t use all that often and rarely strategically. Going into the past implies that they cannot fight something in the present. Which would make no sense since “Daleks are the supreme lifeform in the universe.” The Daleks will retreat, but only after catastrophic losses.
A conflict between these two would come down to a simple fact: the Borg can evolve, the Daleks cannot. The Borg will assimilate, develop, or adapt new technologies and even new ideas, and can do so quickly. The Daleks on the other, um, tendril, really don’t advance that much, and when they do it’s over centuries or millennium. They have used others technology when they absolutely had to, but to them this is abhorrent to them. As doing so would imply they are some how not the smartest, or worse, wrong.
The Daleks would have an initial advantage, but the nature of the two races would result in the Borg overtaking them in a few generations

  • @shaunryan-izzard8110
    @shaunryan-izzard8110 24 дня назад

Ok, simply put, an armada of Borg stand no chance against a single Dalek.
    Why?
    Simple
    1) Dalek weaponry. The Dalek particle disrupted is effectively a vehicle class weapon used as a personal weapon. It acts to disrupt all organic and technological systems it impacts. This would effectively nullify or massively impair the Borgs ability to adapt, as this relies on the drone relaying information back to the collective. The Dalek particle disruptor would simply create massive, simultaneously, catastrophic failur of all the drones systems.
    2) Dalek Pathweb. Lime the Borg, the Daleks are connected to a hive mind. Unlike the Borg though, individual Daleks are not dependant on it. This means that all data collected would be instantaneously relayed to all other Daleks whilst also gaining the collective processing resources of the Pathweb. This seems similar to the Borg, but...
    3) Individual Daleks. Each Dalek is extremely intelligent, capable of cracking complex codes in seconds. Borg drones have no Individuality, and therefore cannot react to a given problem as quickly as a Dalek.
    4) Bonded Polycarbonate armour. The Dalek machine is made of materials capable of withstanding massive energy and concussive forces. The machine is a self contained environ0ment, able to.withstand hard vacuum to high pressure ocean. It would almost certainly be resistant to Borg nanoprobes.
    5) Dalek physiology. Daleks are a radioactive mutation, enhanced by the Kaled cheif scientist Davros to survive at all costs. This means that, even if a Dalek ages to the point of its cellular cohesion breaks down, the individual cells aggressively attack any other living creature, including Daleks. This means that the very cells of a Dalek would be resistant to assimilation in much the same way as Species 8472.
