Great video! Are you able to tell me or provide a picture of which wire is for the heating element? I'm having trouble connecting the wiring from the new wheel to the factory heating element wiring. Thanks in advance!
Hey there, each vehicle is wired differently, the best way to find out which wire provides 12v and ground is to use a multimeter. Here at the shop we've had luck tapping into the red and black wires on the connector that plugs into the left hand side of the steering wheel buttons. Disclaimer; your steering wheel may be wired with different colored wires. Please use a multimeter to confirm wether you are connecting the wires correctly.
If you shoot them a message on IG they will be able to answer you but yes you can retain all the steering wheel features (ie. heat & ACC). More than likely they will have to make you a wheel, turnaround is about 10 weeks.
Technically, with a thinner tool and more accurate approach the holes created will be so minimal that they should never be visible to the naked eye without digging at the material to check if it has or has not been piereced. The larger the object, the higher the chances that the removal will leave a mark. Since its not even a real hole, just a puncture - we highly doubt there is a kit for this.
@@carismodesign6050 guessing there’s no alternative way to remove the airbag ? I’ve seen some horrific damage photos, which is what’s putting me off . But your advice makes total sense ! From what I’ve seen , on F series cars you are able to get a replacement back cover, had no luck so far with G series’s.

Does the leather LED steering wheel, for the BMW G80, come with heating elements? On a full-loaded car, will I lose or have to sacrifice any features?
No you won't have to sacrifice any features, but shoot them a message on IG.

It’s a shame you have to pierce the side of the wheel to get to the springs. Is there any kits out there to hide the holes made ?
