Herping on Abandoned Farmland.

Herping around a few locations on July 28th 2016. I don't find much but I'm not completely skunked and I come across a beautiful chocolate-colored garter snake while herping in the foundations of old, abandoned farmland.

Skinks are awesome though. There are very few lizard species in NY, and I've never seen any where I live.

@@centrarchid I absolutely love garter snakes. I don't care how common they are. I have 2 of them and they hide less than any other species of snake I've kept. Mine are always eager to come up and take a nightcrawler from my hand and they're wild caught.
