- Today we 3D Printed an Xbox themed Candy Dispenser for my sons room. This thing is too cool and didn't even require any supports to get a great quality, multi-color print!

Starburst jelly beans?! Good choice!
🤤
What happened to some of the black layers? Was it going to fast?
Funny story... Ran out of filament and transition to a different brand lol Worked out alright but the color wasn't spot on!
That doesn’t look like a color change and I don’t think that is what he means. The part where you transition from green to back front facing to the camera. The layers stick out like a pilsbury layered biscuit

How did you print two filaments simultaneously
@@blenderhander9485 We're currently printing on the Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. This 3d printer has a device called the AMS (Automatic Material System), which holds up to 4 filaments during any print and will swap between the assigned colors. I believe you cant actually use up to 4 AMS units for a total of 16 colors for any given print. It's pretty crazy!
@@3-Dimensionz but you probably wasted a lot of filament right?
@@Caleb-nh8uf yeah, a fair amount. You can dial in your purge volumes to optimize it. It’s not that big of a deal to me. The wasted filament is worth the ability to print in multiple colors.
Yeah, agreed. I’m looking into buying a x1. Does it still use the “Poop Shute” with a purge tower?
What the material used?
This was printed using PolyMaker PLA.
Hows the performance of bambu lab x1e
I’ve really enjoyed the X1C but it isn’t perfect. I still have issues just like any other printer but it ultimately performs pretty good. I love the speed and multi-color capabilities, its overall quality is really good, and it’s a reasonable price point for what you’re getting.
Possible d'avoir le fichier stl ou fusion?

Yeah looks rough. Need to calibrate the black.
I actually ran out of filament on this print and swapped to an entirely different brand in the middle. Wasn’t a flawless execution but it still works great!
They mean the lines after the color swap

@@neutronnub1493 I actually ran out of filament on this print and swapped to an entirely different brand in the middle. Wasn’t a flawless execution but it still works great! additionally I needed to calibrate my color change purge volumes to get this perfect.
I want to make a special cup for my dog so he can drink water, is this material good enough or will it leak through it?
Hey! I wouldn’t recommend PLA for this application due to its hydrophilic nature. You can absolutely make water right prints with it, however it will degrade it quality as the material absorbs water over time. Below is a great article from Prusa discussing making water tight prints and materials. blog.prusa3d.com/watertight-3d-printing-part-2_53638/?_gl=1*114hd9x*_gcl_au*MTEwMzU0NzM2MC4xNzIwODM2NTQz*_ga*NDUyNDA3Nzc4LjE3MjA4MzY1NDM.*_ga_3HK7B7RT5V*MTcyMDgzNjU0Mi4xLjAuMTcyMDgzNjU0Mi42MC4wLjA.

Hi I have one lab x1-carbon I try fix the bed and how on bed anto levels?
When you go into the settings and calibration on the X1 Carbon you will be able to calibrate the machine. Additionally, updates in the Bambu Slicer allow you to perform calibration prints.
@@3-Dimensionz ok I will try
How long?
Hey! Its been a while since I did this print but I want to say it was around the 14-16 hour mark!
@@3-Dimensionz that's a lot
Yeah! It took a while! There are definitely things I have learned to adjust that speed up the process.@@elsunshine9976
@@elsunshine9976 for something that big it really isint this printer is wicked fast my ender 3 takes a whole 3.4 DAYS to print this and thats without color change the x1 carbon is insane
@@3-DimensionzWhat changes did you make afterwards to make it print faster?
mm/seg.?
Standard Bambu PLA profile at 100%
Way too much infill?
Yeah, a little over kill
Cool print, horrible song.
Hahaha, it happens. When I go back and watch/listen I sometimes come to that realization! 😂 I’m always open for recommendations!

How much non food grade microplastic do you want with your sweets?
Yes, please.

Keep it up you rock star!
@@3-Dimensionz damnn does that mean you can put it in compost then?
Yes, you could do this but it wouldn't be good for "composting". theres a whole science/art behind a proper compost that I am not versed in. With that said, I have outdoor/water based PLA prints which I plan on doing a video on. I'll show how the plastic breaks down over time. It's actually pretty crazy! It's nothing like your typical water bottle, or milk jug that will outlive us all. It all starts to essentially de-laminate. All the layers come apart and look like a pringle before it really starts to break down. @@quadradoge6417
@@3-Dimensionz Very cool I’m interested to watch that video! I’m about to get a 3D printer and the waste plastic has been a big factor for me.
Thats great! I hope you have a blast with getting into the 3d printing world. I'm sure you will be just like me and get absolutely addicted! Side note, there are a lot of really smart people out there coming up with ways to reuse your old prints and turn them back into filament. I haven't taken the leap on this yet but its definitely something I want to play around with down the road. I'm not a fan of all the wasted plastic materials either and am always looking for ways to reduce all the waste!@@quadradoge6417
Surface printing quality badly 😮
Cannot compared with creator pro is a best surface quality
Yeah, there were a few things that came up during this print. Not perfect, but it turned out pretty good!
This print was so wasteful do it in multiple parts next time
Solid as a plastic brick, I'll take it
Defeats the purpose of multi color extrusion at that point lmao
@@jsar5409 yes it may but this could be easily done in multiple parts and did not need to be made like this therefore it’s kinda wasteful
Prints are not safe for food. Be responsible. Take this down. Do your homework. It is possible to treat printed parts to be food safe, but it is so much work, that hardly anyone bothers.
This is incorrect.
“Yes, PLA is a safe food substance that can be used in food containers. It is a commonly used material for food packaging due to its biodegradability and non-toxic composition. The chemical properties of the raw materials used make PLA a durable and eco-friendly alternative to plastics”
@@3-Dimensionz Perhaps you should learn why 3d printed parts are not food safe first? It is sort of a 2 second search for info. Which I guess you already did? Which would indicate you just lied.
@@FrodeBergetonNilsen yup, you are 100% incorrect. Since you’re psychic, which filament was used?
