Phantom Fury is the long awaited sequel to Ion Fury, but this thing has had valid scepticism around its quality since its demo release last year, so in this review I take a look at the final game and see just how good the final product is.

Blessed with a new fpsthetics video. My only suggestion going forward is to bump up the volume of your voice as it's a little on the low side. Keep it up! 🤙
Maybe also try to play around with audio compressor settings on your voice to keep the volume a bit more consistent. But honestly, you already have great production quality considering this is your second video. Keep at it!

3D Realms is a huge name for us who love 90's FPS. Slipgate Ironworks has been destroying any confidence we have in Boomer Shooter FPS's. This whole thing is horrible from start to finish. I never accepted the Graven review key due to all the backlash it got and I doubt I'll ever touch this one. Good work on the review.

Hi mate, I've followed you on Twitter for quite some time now. Enjoyed the review, hopefully by the time I get it, it'll be a more complete product and have the issues fixed. I'm a huge fan of "Half-Likes" so this game appeals to me so much.

Fair enough, but there's always the 2 hour refund limit if you wanna go that way. The game takes no time at all to get into and see if you enjoy it or not.

good review! this game looks pretty different from what i expected, in a good way. disappointing (but not surprising) to hear that the SiN stuff is so minor, but maybe i'll still give this one a try eventually.

10:15 Wrath did the exact same shit with its ending and I still don't understand it. It didn't impact my thoughts for the better or worse there but it felt so rushed and like they wanted to do more but didn't have time. Feels like that's the case for that and blade here.
I'm prob either gonna wait for a sale or find another means to play for now. The pieces are here but the game just doesn't seem there yet which sucks because those recent streams started to give me hope they knew what they were doing
Thank you for the great review ! I love how the game looks, i'm such a sucker for 2000's looking fps, not so much for the late 90's ones. The game does seem pretty flawed but it doesn't seem bad at all honestly. I don't agree with your opinion on Bioshock but I hope I'll agree with you when I get to play this one
Damn the Sin crossover being so little sucks. Honestly that was the thing that interested me most about this game.

I'm playing Ion Fury Aftershock now, I definitely don't like the " ignoring real ballistics " exploding enemies in Phantom Fury, really stupid.

I've contemplated it before but there really is no alternative as good that also has all my mutuals on it, so I'm probably gonna stick around until Elon fucks it to the point it's no longer usable tbh.

i'll probably get this on offer, it's a good amount more expensive than the other premium indie fps games for something that seems about half as good

I want 3DR to succeed and especially this title.
But they are slowly going down hill...
Also wtf are all these titles using pixelated textures?! What happend to bilinear filtering that was the shit back in the day.
You wont find a single damn fps from 2001-2005 that does not use texture filtering.
So what does all these new titles who clearly try to emulate the early 2000s lack it?
Better start patching Graven,Aeon and phantom fury now or you will loose most of us 😞
From what I hear, this isn't even the same 3D Realms from years back. Slipgate Ironworks owns the name, and basically use said name for their publishing branch. One of the original co-founders of 3DR went to revive the Apogee name.
