You guys should do a "Ultimate" rinseless wash video where you go over the technique (again) but also do other things that are safe to do with rinseless washing, such as what step do an iron decon, clay towel, spray sealant finish, etc.
That is a great idea!
@@diydetailofficialI agree with this idea!
Fun, safe and effective. Perfect process. Thanks for the education!
We're glad you enjoyed it!
So satisfying to watch, especially a GTR (my next dream car)
Thank you.
For the hardcore JDM fafns, technically the only model they reference as Godzilla is the R32 GT-R. It's the one that swept JTC when the car debuted.
I love the R35, but there are a lot of nooks and crannies if you're too OCD. The front fender vents, the grooves on the roof on each side, the vents by the rear diffuser, the channel around the rear glass, the front grills, the small gap under the headlights...
And yes, when Yvan lifted the rear deck lid, I said don't forget to wipe up the drips that will come from the wing mounts, which Yvan noticed.
Thank you.
I'm ready with Humberto for another awesome video. 💯💪
Thank you.
I love the scent of Water Spot Remover... 🤤
Thank you.
@@victoryensured7137 did it change recently. It used to smell like vinegar. I just ran out recently so I guess I’ll find out
@ I bought it 6 months ago for the first time and it always smelled nice, don't know about early versions sorry.
Loveing the content guys, but i was disappointed to find out that here in the uk the 25mil polishers were not being offered to us yet
They were, they may have sold out quickly, the distributor was not convinced a 25mm would sell.
Ah, my dream car :) Love it!
It's a fun one to work on.
Clean and Protected!
Yes
my car with your 3 year is barely hydrophobic starting at 4 month mark, so have to do the decon, I guess thats a good visual for when you need decon, but 1 time with clay towel and iron remover only restored it 60% of the way, I did get waterspot remover and Ill try to do clay&iron twice and then waterpot remover. I mainly used rinseless if thatmatters
Yes, contamination needs to be removed to keep the coating exposed
How often and how should you clean your drying towels when drying off rinselss wash? Im used to just air drying my drying towels and re-use for many washes since I wasn't using rinselss at the time I was just drying clean water with no chemicals. Now I'm soaking up surfactants and polymers in the rineless wash. How would you suggest cleaning them and how often?
We clean ours every 3-4 cars. We use Detail Co Renaissance
@diydetailofficial Thank you 😊
Can you do a video doing this and tips in not control environment? I try not to wash in full sun but don’t have a garage to wash inside.

When will the cordless polishers be available in the UK as I guess they will be the same as USA version as they will run on Makita batteries
Spring 2025
? Applied DIY rinse less spray on white car, rinsed with pressure washer, sprayed another round of rinse less , did contact wash with DIY legacy sponge out of rinseless bucket. Noticed water beads looked like dirt in them. I was scared to dry with towel the dirty looking water beads ,so I rinsed with pressure washer. Is it ok to dry those dirty looking beads without scratching the paint? With that last pressure washer rinse I might as well do a wash bucket method?
Yes, it’s safe.
Is the 5 year ceramic recommended for the windshield? Im coating my car tomorrow and will apply to other glass but wasnt sure about windshield!
Yes
Can you use ceramic gloss on a DIY ceramic coated vehicle every 3 months or so?
more than that you should if you want it to last, full decon and top up with a topper like ceramic gloss so coating has a chance to live the declared years...
Yes you can, it’s not required.
So it’s ok to leave the suds from the contact wash to remain while you go right into the decontamination? No need to rinse the suds off then decon? Wondering if the soap is ok to “dry” on the paint …dependent on outside temperature?
Yes, it’s best to leave it, it can dry, but don’t allow it to bake in the sun.
Yvan any reason why you haven’t demonstrated the safeness of contact wash using the LONG FLAGGED TIP GREEN BRUSH once the foam is on the car. I’d like to see it and I’m sure the SKEPTIC viewers would like to see it demonstrated 👀🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
We have shown it several times, and on many different channels
@ alright I’ll go back to find those demonstrations on your older videos. Thank you.
Do you apply quick beads and ceramic gloss the same way as the c6 mist as in this video?
Yes you can with DIY Detail Quick Beads
I don’t hear your guys speak about PPF, and lots about Ceramic coatings. What’s your opinion about PPF? Do you recommend on areas that a subject to rocks and debris (front of car, behind the wheels, specifically a model Y type structured car). Do you recommend ceramic on PPF as well?
PPF offers great impact protection, yes you want to apply a coating on it
After WSR is it DI water? Or there not a significant amount of minerals to bother.
Tap water, as long as it’s not allowed to dry, you’re safe.
Are we any closer to knowing an ETA on the WSR?
Mid February
@@diydetailofficial That would be great. Thank you.
Foam rinse foam method without a second bucket, using a grit guard or wringing it out. How does that work for safety? Just dunking it for new suds is enough?
Yes, the first foam and rinse takes away the grit that could scratch
@ does a hose take away grit that could scratch? Or pressure is essential?
A hose is fine
Can you substitute foamed all clean followed by a rinse for the prewash step? This is my winter method. I follow this with a rinseless contact wash.
Yes, but that’s overkill on a regularly maintained car.
How long will the C6 Mist last on a well maintained vehicle?
A few weeks, it’s not a topper or protective product, it’s designed to make drying safer, easier, and add a bit of gloss
Any concerns with water spot remover on hotter days where even in the shade the car is drying quickly? Is it ok to dry?
Yes it’s okay to dry.
@@diydetailofficialwhat concerns are there if the water spot remover drys on the panel?
It can dry.
What was the owner's maintenance process for this?
DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash
Can Ceramic Gloss be used instead of the C6 for the last step?
Yes
Great!
Thanks! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nick the squeegee king😅
Thank you.
Why are you getting rid of the 🍭 wash mitt if it works?
The manufacturer can’t make it.
@ makes sense! You guys are the best
Beautiful color. I bet it pops in the sun
It sure does!
Hi, Where is spot for DI water? RV Semi trucks?
Yes
Clean Machine!!!
Thank you.
I am Scottish and never put my hand in the wash mitt 😂
😂
Excellent
Ready
Thank you.
Way too much Nick talks about every video. He’s not going to change his mindset. Honestly I don’t think he believes less is more😂😂😂
Nick is slowly getting it.
Doesn't matter how people do things. The fact that one washes their car these days should be celebrated. Most cities I have visited I have seen more dirty cars than clean cars. A certain number of those have failing clear coat too. Neglected vehicles is an epidemic for sure haha.
