I, too, am a victim of Childhood trauma (CPTSD), as is Johnny Depp. We trauma victims have a tendency to bond with people who perpetuate the trauma. It is a sad and unfortunate thing, but trauma people tend to bond together. I am so sorry that all of this has happened to Johnny Depp--I can feel it in my core how good he is. Whatever they say about drinking, etc. that is the norm for people like us..it keeps you level. I hope he wins this case--as it is not about money, but rather about culpability for bad behavior. I am so sorry that she came into his life.

The more I learn about this case the more admire Johnny Depp. He’s not only one of my favourite actors ever but now I admire him so much as a human being, one who behaves impeccably at all times. He should ask for more money. If I were him, I should sue her for $200K million. There was a lovely lady there a couple of days ago that brought two alpacas so when Johnny got there he might see them and cheer him up a little. Sweet, and I would love to know if he did see them. I know he wouldn't be allowed to stop and talk to her.
This is so difficult to watch for me. I got out of a relationship that was similar but not as pronounced. I went to therapists asking "am I abusive? Am I a narcissist?" I was told an abusive narcissist wouldn't come here asking these questions. I still don't know what happened. The constant confrontations and then retreating to a victim position still make me question my memories.

At 03:57 Amber is being talked to, then looks immediately at the camera (us) like she is hiding something. She is very aware of the camera, just like suspects in an interrogation. BTW men hitting women is absolutely OK as self-defense. The meaning of 'hitting' has transformed over the years. Women have access to pepper sprays, knuckledusters, stun guns and weapons. Even assuming women are generally physically weaker than men so that their punches don't hurt men enough to warrant retaliation - I have yet to meet a anatomically standard male (not having CIPA) that would not get hurt by a knuckleduster/mace/knife/bullet to the eye, nose, throat, balls.
I think the moral of the story is, don't leave the mother of your children at 60 years old for a 20 year old model wannabe actress who only wants to get famous. Decisions have consequences.

As a general rule of thumb men should never hit women due to the typical physical imbalance and you certainly don't want to normalize really bad behavior. My ex is bipolar and one time she called the police on me while I was asleep on my couch. The police coming in my house woke me up, and she went on this crazy tirade in front of the officer's. I just sat there and the police were even more confused then I was. One officer said, If you speak to him like that in front of us, what's it like when it's just the two of you. She ended up getting arrested that night. I've been single since our divorce, 8 years now. I'll never risk the peace I have being single.

I'm sad about what's happening to Johnny depp. If Depp receives all the punishment I can only imagine the backlash and revolution that fans and people around will have. It should be fair not one sided.
