More reading vlogs would be great! It's wonderful to get an all-around sense of the reading experience to see some lovely footage alongside reflections on different books. You make a good point about seasonal reading and how what we read is impacted by the environment around us. I know what a challenge it is to film such vlogs but it also allows space for some fun creativity. I had a look at that edition of The Story of Art when I was in a Waterstones and it is so beautiful! What a wonderful group of gifts! I was given the Ottolenghi Extra Good Things for Christmas and there are so many tasty looking things inside. Great to hear your thoughts on the Marple book. Two videos a week, yeah! I have fallen in love with Miss Marple after reading 4:50 From Paddington for the book club. I am also hooked on reading Georgette Heyer's mysteries after your suggestion of The Christmas Party.
My mom and I will love the twice a week videos. You have really opened up the genre of nature writing and seasonal reading and we look forward to everything you share. My mom was a librarian and I am a teacher and we enjoy sharing our love for books with each of your videos.

Sounds like you and your mom had a good Christmas and new year and I'm glad you had a good break. The Barnes and Noble bookstores in the U.S. do a 50% off hardcovers after Christmas too so I found a few good ones. I got three books for Christmas from family and had read two of them and owned the third. On the plus side, my family knows me well and has good taste in books.

Looking forward to your new videos! I read last year's comfort book club choice, Winter Solstice, right up to Christmas day which was perfect. I just finished 4:50 From Paddington, my first Agatha Christie novel ever, which I really enjoyed as well. I just started The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn, loved The Rose Code so looking forward to this one. A good seasonal book is The Self Care Year by Alison Davies, I think you would like that one. I also just received The Nonesuch for my February read. Thank you for all of the great recommendations and happy baking!

Story of Art Without Men sounds real interesting. There is a book called Ninth Street Women by Mary Gabriel about five women painters of the abstract expressionism school. I'm not really a fan of that style but I've seen some of their work and think it as good as or better that their male counterparts. Not sure but I think 9th Street in NYC was where many had their studios. Thanks.
I am originally from Minnesota but now reside in the Southwest USA. I feel I really missed out on Maude Hart Lovelace during my childhood, and I am looking forward to explore those books - thank you! x

I got an Agatha Christie Book from The Folio Society “SPARKLING CYANIDE” I read it in 2 days which is really fast for me.. Three years ago I never heard of The Folio Society (thank you so much 🥰) Miranda one more thing I’m Very prepared for this month’s Comfort Read☺️🥰🥰… I Got that book too and “Sad Cypress” (those two came from Amazon 🤷🏾♀️)

Over Christmas, I have read and tremendously enjoyed Laura Wood 's A Snowfall of Silver, which I would not have discovered without your videos, the one where you read A Sky Painted Gold by Laura Wood... Besides this one, I enjoyed two mystery novels by Lucy Foley, The Hunting Party and The Paris Apartment. Also I gifted myself a new novel, The Circus Train, which I am about to start. Hopefully I'll get to read this month's Comfort book club book too, love Agatha Christie.

Just found time to watch this today and really enjoyed seeing all the books you received and have read over Christmas. Especially love the look of An American in Provence and the one about the Wordsworths. I am glad to hear your glowing review of Darling, I’m about to start it and I always feel a bit unsure about updates of my favourite books but this is very reassuring! And Georgette Heyer is always good! I love those paperback editions, such beautiful covers. Your plans for your channel sound so fun, I am really looking forward to them. Your videos always look so polished and beautiful, as a viewer I think you do an amazing job on the technical side, and they are always so fun, interesting and inspirational. My two lovely sons paid attention to my wishlist and bought me books, The Red House Mystery by AA Milne and Between the Acts , Virginia Woolf's last book. My wonderful Father in Law bought me a book token so can't wait to spend it. January Comfort Book Club author was a huge favourite of my Mum, sadly I couldn't find any of her copies but bought a new copy. Looking forward to the discussion at the end of the month. I had previously read Shady Hollow by Juneau Black, for for Christmas I received the next two books entitled Cold Clay and Mirror Lake. The stories are about a small town with murder mysteries involving the animals who inhabit the town (no humans here)!

I’m so excited about the changes to your channel, I absolutely love your bookish podcasts and your lifestyle vlogs, so to have them to look forward to twice a week will be a wonderful bonus…..thank you. We actually based our week’s holiday in Yorkshire last year on information found in your vlogs! We visited Harlow Carr gardens (where I had my first Fat Rascal)…….Fountains Abbey & Studley Water gardens (wonderful)……Ripon Cathedral & The Little Ripon Bookshop……..Grassington & the Stripey Badger Bookshop…….and finally Malton! Didn’t quite make it to Castle Howard, but it is top of the Itinerary for this year’s Yorkshire holiday! The M&S shampoo that you recommended suits my hair beautifully & is a regular purchase, and Donna’s recipes for Swiss Roll & her Everyday Bread are now family favourites……so you see we have much to thank you for! I loved the Betsy Tacy and Beany Malone books growing up! My mother gave them to me. Maud Hart Lovelace lived in my hometown when she moved to CA. Another series very similar that were my favorite books as a young child were the Ginnie books, starting with Ginnie and Geneva. I still re-read from time to time.

I read Miss Reads Christmas stories in December and fell in love all over again with her books which helped my year- end reading. It is fun going along with you when you have outings. I love staying in tune with the seasons! Having a woodland cottage helps to do that. We come up to stay in it almost weekly. I just got a new book to bring along this weekend called The Wild Swans. I am loving it. I would love some woodland themed book ideas if you have them.

Looking forward to your new videos! I read last year's comfort book club choice, Winter Solstice, right up to Christmas day which was perfect. I just finished 4:50 From Paddington, my first Agatha Christie novel ever, which I really enjoyed as well. I just started The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn, loved The Rose Code so looking forward to this one. A good seasonal book is The Self Care Year by Alison Davies, I think you would like that one. I also just received The Nonesuch for my February read. Thank you for all of the great recommendations and happy baking!

Story of Art Without Men sounds real interesting. There is a book called Ninth Street Women by Mary Gabriel about five women painters of the abstract expressionism school. I'm not really a fan of that style but I've seen some of their work and think it as good as or better that their male counterparts. Not sure but I think 9th Street in NYC was where many had their studios. Thanks.

I got an Agatha Christie Book from The Folio Society “SPARKLING CYANIDE” I read it in 2 days which is really fast for me.. Three years ago I never heard of The Folio Society (thank you so much 🥰) Miranda one more thing I’m Very prepared for this month’s Comfort Read☺️🥰🥰… I Got that book too and “Sad Cypress” (those two came from Amazon 🤷🏾♀️)

Over Christmas, I have read and tremendously enjoyed Laura Wood 's A Snowfall of Silver, which I would not have discovered without your videos, the one where you read A Sky Painted Gold by Laura Wood... Besides this one, I enjoyed two mystery novels by Lucy Foley, The Hunting Party and The Paris Apartment. Also I gifted myself a new novel, The Circus Train, which I am about to start. Hopefully I'll get to read this month's Comfort book club book too, love Agatha Christie.

Just found time to watch this today and really enjoyed seeing all the books you received and have read over Christmas. Especially love the look of An American in Provence and the one about the Wordsworths. I am glad to hear your glowing review of Darling, I’m about to start it and I always feel a bit unsure about updates of my favourite books but this is very reassuring! And Georgette Heyer is always good! I love those paperback editions, such beautiful covers. Your plans for your channel sound so fun, I am really looking forward to them. Your videos always look so polished and beautiful, as a viewer I think you do an amazing job on the technical side, and they are always so fun, interesting and inspirational. My two lovely sons paid attention to my wishlist and bought me books, The Red House Mystery by AA Milne and Between the Acts , Virginia Woolf's last book. My wonderful Father in Law bought me a book token so can't wait to spend it. January Comfort Book Club author was a huge favourite of my Mum, sadly I couldn't find any of her copies but bought a new copy. Looking forward to the discussion at the end of the month. Happy New Year. Thank you for sharing the wonderful variety of books you obtained. I had previously read Shady Hollow by Juneau Black, for for Christmas I received the next two books entitled Cold Clay and Mirror Lake. The stories are about a small town with murder mysteries involving the animals who inhabit the town (no humans here)!

I’m so excited about the changes to your channel, I absolutely love your bookish podcasts and your lifestyle vlogs, so to have them to look forward to twice a week will be a wonderful bonus…..thank you. We actually based our week’s holiday in Yorkshire last year on information found in your vlogs! We visited Harlow Carr gardens (where I had my first Fat Rascal)…….Fountains Abbey & Studley Water gardens (wonderful)……Ripon Cathedral & The Little Ripon Bookshop……..Grassington & the Stripey Badger Bookshop…….and finally Malton! Didn’t quite make it to Castle Howard, but it is top of the Itinerary for this year’s Yorkshire holiday! The M&S shampoo that you recommended suits my hair beautifully & is a regular purchase, and Donna’s recipes for Swiss Roll & her Everyday Bread are now family favourites……so you see we have much to thank you for! Bless you both for giving us so many happy moments. Xx

I loved the Betsy Tacy and Beany Malone books growing up! My mother gave them to me. Maud Hart Lovelace lived in my hometown when she moved to CA. Another series very similar that were my favorite books as a young child were the Ginnie books, starting with Ginnie and Geneva. I still re-read from time to time.
I definitely have to look out for Ginnie and Geneva! That sounds so fun! Always very happy to find another Betsy-Tacy / Beany Malone fan 😃

I enjoy your channel so much. I didn't get any new books for Christmas, we don't exchange gifts. But I did read Louise Pennys lastest. I love her mystery series. I just started my reread of this months bookclub choice, 4:50 from Paddington.(so good) I'm hoping to go for more quality books than quantity. Last year was not a great reading year. I read Miss Reads Christmas stories in December and fell in love all over again with her books which helped my year- end reading. I love staying in tune with the seasons! Having a woodland cottage helps to do that. We come up to stay in it almost weekly. I just got a new book to bring along this weekend called The Wild Swans. I am loving it. I would love some woodland themed book ideas if you have them.
