Great video. Just a thought, most cellulose insulation has a fire retardant in it, typically ascorbic acid, you probably want to rinse the bags well before putting them in your tank.
Its a good idea so they dont get stuck in the corner if the bag, and feel safer/can huddle socially for comfort . Moss or even filter floss works fine too
of course, my friend! I think most unboxings are boring to me, but I like to show the channel what's in my tanks before it hides, then folks can request episodes on care or history of a specific plant or animal
Definitely recommend the styrofoam coolers with or wo heat pack. I’ve received lots of shrimp lately and it’s by far the best packaging and greatly improves survivability. Love your videos!
I have multiple colonies of shrimp and I don't know exactly what their lineage is but I have some that are coming out and more green than others and I'm thinking about trying to breed them out and see if I can get a line off that. not to make money just for fun and of course I have red ones too but that's obvious I will try to breed them in 1 K but I might try to do the Greens the other
Oh they are truly beautiful! I always wanted green shrimps 😊 But I couldn't find any when I looked but I will serch for a breeder in Sweden later. IF I can keep my blue dream shrimps alive and thriving ^^
Well they are quite beautiful...usually called jade yellow lines, razor back jades or gold line greens. They are very unpredictable as parents, as they sometimes have yellow babies, sometimes green, sometimes a mix and sometimes clear. Other than that- they are just a really cool color of neocaridina davidi shrimp!
the green neos are super bulletproof. they have been shoved around 3 tanks to cross breed with blues and greens ( they will likely revert to a wild type, but maybe a few will end up turquoise or rili colorations. The Babaultis didnt adapt so great...all but 4 died in shipping, or within 3 days...after that 3 days they did great though and are now giving birth to a group of shrimplettes
I'm sorry your shrimp died. I always have a really hard time with that. I wonder to myself, is it really my fault because I wanted these in my tank and I ordered them which causes their stress and therefore demise? I know that's thinking a little too much but that's what goes through this head of mine. I hope these new shrimp are all doing well in your tank!
whats with every "green shrimp" video on youtube having a lovely green shrimp in the thumbnail then you watch the vid and they are all washed out blue or yellow?!

Good point thank you
I read that you need to have shrimp sent with a piece a netting to cling on to

Cool unboxing and info. Thanks again for taking the time to do these.

Well, I enjoy them and love seeing your amazing tanks. I'm sure others do as well. You also include facts during them which others fail to at times.

Nice... i know germany is the major European hub for quality shrimp for sure
I got one from my Tropical fish store that’s Green with a yellow back. It was in the same tank as the Yellow backs. Any info on these neocaridinas

New to shrimp-I have cherry shrimp. Can I mix in other color ones or do you have to keep the colors separate to stay true? thanks
Is that pureagin or chemipure in the shipping bag with the shrimp?
How did the shrimp end up acclimatize to their new homes ?

I thought breather bags weren’t supposed to be floated
They aren't unless they have a third of their surface above water...OR it's under about 15 minutes
Can green jade shrimp and cherry shrimp have babies with each other ?
Yes but usually they're brown babies or clear

Why are there no green fish I mean all green ? with all the water plants you would think it's an advantage.
there are but they aren't popular in the hobby, many catfish also grow algae

Pulls them out of pitch black..... straight into bright ass light..! So Rude!
Clean your room
right? I always comment on that (its the "junk room" and my fish room. We do not live in there...but yes it is need of spring cleaning
