I got 2 like those, but with a cream stripe. Their Great Grandparents were a female high grade Yellow, and Dark blue High grade, I thought it was black. I kept them with guppies and a female betta. The first generation was mainly reds and browns, most were see through. Very few had the visible shell. By The third generation they had many back stripes and solid reds where they weren't see through. Some very low grades looked like low grade wild shrimps with light hues. Somehow, I now have some like yours, with the stripe on the back, various colors: green, yellow, red, blue, brown. I ended putting the darkest ones in my primary tank with male betta. He can't catch anyone, they're safest with him. I have not culled them at all.
thanks you must of read my mind was going to ask you and really like this type of video would like to see more about how they select bred the lines bloody mary and blue diamond
interesting. my dark green jades are in white substrate and are so dark they look black unless you shine a light directly on them. trying to figure out how to get a lighter shade out of them and get that going in another tank. also very few of my green jade have any lines on their backs
I got a batch of AWESOME green emeralds from you & was wanting to add another color to the tank... would any of the other colors be from the same gene line? Black rose perhaps?
No anything else you add to the tank will for sure make wilds with emeralds. You could add something like tangerine tigers that can take the same parameters and won't cross breed
Hi! I got a group of both emeralds and jades. But my jades stripe is dark and rusty. I want to get like a more yellow stripe. Do you think It’s a good idea to cross them with a big striped yellow female? Or would that be a bad idea? 🤔😂 I’m thinking the stripe genetic should go in to the jades and make a faster result that I want.
We have culls on our site tgoeshrimp.com however we need to move them inside so we can grade them. They just all look so nice outside so we only sell culls because some of them don't look so good in tanks with out the sun.
@@thegardenofeder one more quick question, do you find the babies to be clear for a while and then colour up? Or do they show signs of colour while small? I've recently ordered mid-high grade but they've arrived clear (they are juvi though)
@The Garden of Eder Tgank for the reply. According to the fish store it's a Jade. So I'm not certain. I have two. One of the two from the same tank is what changed. 🤷♀️
I will have emeralds back on the site by the end of this month you can email me if you want to pre-order they are $6 each. Email is Granteder@gmail.com
Hey man, very interesting propositions and I completly agree with you. I been breeding green jades, but the guy had been selecting for darker green. I get the wild colors in some red, some yellow. Some of my darkest jades almost appear red, like black with red. Interestingly I get zero orange at all. If i had to guess, my strain was a selected cross between hi grade blues and yellows. I get the ocassional blue dream velvet shrimp.. almost the rili look. Thanks for the video! I'd love to talk with you further sometime about what your seeing, I'm getting some wild results. Very pretty tho.
Thats interesting never seen any reds however some of them are kinda turning like apples and getting a little red tint to them as they age kinda like rusty oe blue Tigers
What's the difference between green Emerald and blue green emeralds Or are they the same? Because I've seen breeders list both of them and I was wondering if they're different or not.?
@@thegardenofeder That's what I was wondering thanks for the reply... And keep up to good videos you're an awesome shrimp guy and you have a lot of good information keep them coming bro.... Can you ship now or do I have to wait longer for better weather. my state it's in the 70's° & 80's° already FYI?
just started getting green jade shrimp. May i ask what has happened to my shrimp? One of my shrimp has orange spot on its shell and died but I had gotten it only 2-3 days ago

Great info grant! Grading shrimp can be difficult and confusing, especially if your info source is wrong!

Grant! Another awesome video and yes do more neo stuff red blue orange // rili developing ...I love it man
make more compare video pls bloody and firered , blue dream and diamond

I think you got emeralds then
Great job, perfect info on the greenies!
Mind if I ask, what are those isopod looking things scuttling along w/ the snails and shrimps? o:
They are aquatic isopods
Those are scuds, Gammarus sp.

Great vid !
Hello how can we get those greens with yellow stripes? -Love from Philippines
You need to find a source for green jades
@@thegardenofeder I already have green jades and green emeralds. I tried to mix them with yellow goldenbacks coud it be possible?
Beautiful shrimp! I’m curious what are the isopods in your tank?

You can always give it a try but my money is that cross will make wilds
love the neo vids! what black substrate are you using in the green jade tanks?
Thats black diamond blasting sand one of our first videos is how we set this tank up.
Wow those jades are awesome!! Haven’t seen them anywhere else yet but they are instantly my favorite! Do you sell them by any change?
We have culls on our site tgoeshrimp.com however we need to move them inside so we can grade them. They just all look so nice outside so we only sell culls because some of them don't look so good in tanks with out the sun.
Is it bad to cross them? I have what's deemed "emerald green" and I want to increase the colony size, but all I can find is jade green
It's possible it could result in wilds. We have green emeralds available on our site Tgoeshrimp.com

@@strider5119 they can be yes. Also if you don't have them on black substrate they can lose a lot of color.
Is it possible to buy any shrimp from this guy, couldn’t find a link in his description
Our site is tgoeshrimp.com please let us know if you have any questions
what kinda of isopods are in this tank with the snails and shrimp?
Not sure we just got them as aquatic isopods if I ever figure it out I'll let you know
I appreciate your wisdom.
Thank you!
Nice shrimps. Do You have "isopodes" in aquarium? What is this?
Yes those are aquatic isopods
When will you have green Jade available?
Not till end of spring probably
Great Video!
Thank you!
what are the other small animals that are with shrimp
Aquatic isopods we have them on our site tgoeshrimp.com
Legend so my first tank of shrimp are painted fire reds what would you recommend next for my next tank 🤔
Tangerine tigers or another color neo I'd recommend green the demand will always be there
@The Garden of Eder Tangerine Tiger Shrimp look mint going to look in to getting them
My green jade with a yellow back stripe turned neon yellow with a neon yellow back stripe after 1st molt in my tank. Why would that be?
You sure it's a green jade? Sometimes yellow neos can turn green because of diet
@The Garden of Eder Tgank for the reply.

can green jade and green emerald be put in the same tank? are they from the same gene line?
@@Xerq457 they might cross breed and make wilds but I'm not sure I'm going to try when the new rack is done
Its the Fire-Yellow probably because of the backline these always have this and it looks just the same
Those shrimp look great! what food are they enjoying?
I believe its envy complete. Its one of your foods for sure.
What's the difference between green Emerald and blue green emeralds Or are they the same?
Because I've seen breeders list both of them and I was wondering if they're different or not.?
Blue green emeralds are just culls from emeralds renamed to make profit. I just sell mine as culls

Where did you get the shrimp from? Parameters of the tank?
Aquatic isopods with your jade greens? So not look like normal scuds.
These are not the same as scuds. These are more flat and don't feed on baby shrimp after having babies
That got my attention too! Forget about the stunning emeralds and the gorgeous jades, what is that bug @8:30? 😁
How much do you sale them for?
$5 to $6 each when they are available
you ever planning to start selling green jades or emeralds? Just bouta start a tank specifically for them
We normally sell them before they hit the site looking at about a month before any are ready though
Hi man nice video, what are the other animals that are with the shrimp in second 9:40? they look like white cockroaches
Aquatic isopods
Bloody Mary’s!!!!
3 votes bloody marry so far will have to do that in the near future
