      Technically impossible, even upon escape velocity, the perapsis of the orbit would be far to low.

      The sad part of it is that he won only because of Fajdek's mental problems in qualies. He was throwing 82-83 metres for breakfast before and after that day. This is sad to watch for polish fans as he failed for the 2nd olympics in a row with his nerves.

    • @SmithyPL

      perhaps if you time it right. the expulsion of air from your lungs creates addition force.
      if you ever hit it right, you immediately feel the difference

      James Lill no it tightens your core a lot so you can put extra power, and it also creations an “explosion” of power in the cns which also makes you throw it better.

    As a proud USA hammer thrower, these clips give me CHILLS!! A few tears, as well. I'm so proud to be a part of the tradition of the hammer throw, AND a part of the VERY FIRST chance for a woman to compete in the Olympics in this historic event!! I know that I didn't get to go all of the way to the Olympics, I was proud to place 10th at the trials, but I competed, and the women who went, DESERVED their places!! I was just so proud to be a part of the event. One of the best days of my life!l

    The range of the hammer covers is directly proportional to the loudness of the shout.

      Honestly, if they took the weight down to make it more interesting, the only people that have something to gain with that are the women competing, because they get more views. So good for them.

    • @McNab1986
      @McNab1986 6 лет назад

      Men still throw the heavier ones further, so upping the weight requirements for women to match would only see their throws become alot shorter.
      This isn't an area feminists focus on, because basic biology dictates given equal training at equal sizes, the male would still be stronger because we are built that way.

    The loud grunts make it go further the few little bit because of wave changes in the atmosphere and the wind, which makes all the difference! May the screamer win!

      Screaming at the point of release does, but screaming while it’s flying through the air does not
