Gimme a Break! is a sitcom that aired on NBC for six seasons from October 29, 1981, to May 12, 1987. Carl Kanisky is chief of police in Glenlawn, California. After the death of his wife, Margaret, he asks her friend, Nell Harper, to step in to help take care of his children, Katie, Julie, and Samantha, basically becoming a mother figure for them. Later, Carl's father, Stanley, moves in and around that same time, Nell takes in a young foster kid named Joey. But what happened to the cast after the show ended?

I was really glad to see that Recollection Road put out a video of Give Me A Break, I loved that show and Nell Carter! Nell Carter had a similar comedic style like Lucille Ball, but, she that same presence where she just always seemed to play her charter on any show well and, I would watch anything she played on after watching her in give me a break, I remember when, the news came out about her death, it was very sad and, heartbreaking! God bless all the charters who passed on the show and, may they all Rest In Peace!
