Make sure to check out Peter's channel and support his journey. He is attempting to be the first person from Ireland to circumnavigate non-stop singlehanded. Here is his video from when we were all in Tenerife: ruclips.net/video/Rzeykj6JFQI/видео.html
Fantastic video , love the drone footage too 😊. It’s was so lovely hanging out with ye in Tenerife. We have to meet up again when I return from our circumnavigations 😊⛵️🌎
While sailing up to Texas from Mexico, we were first boarded and inspected by the Coast Guard. Then, after entering the ICW at Port Isabel, the DEA gave us a visit. Another ten miles or so, the Sherrif's department stopped by to say hello. Everyone was nice though, but it makes you wonder if you've been put on a list.
Hi John, we actually have very few encounters with law enforcement when sailing outside the USA. It is very relaxing and police have been very helpful. Sorry to hear you were hassled 3x in one day. It seems many other countries have figured out that most sailboaters aren't much of a threat, tourism is better for the economy than ticketing, and there is a feeling of more freedom on the water :-)
Thanks, we are glad you enjoyed! Spread the word, Peter is making another go at it this season and we will be watching and supporting! Have a wonderfull week!!! :-)
I'm shocked you all are still under 10k subs! Let's go! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Not a fun way to wake up surrounded by police! And, the interview with Peter Lawless is great! I laughed a little too hard at the Chewy box. Those things are everywhere these days.
I was following Peter's channel and he introduced me to you. He's right you do have a fast boat and it's a pleasure to watch the two of you sail. I look forward to watching your journey all the way around.
Thanks for coming over from Peter's channel. We are hoping we can send quite a few back his way and spread the word about his awesome goal! We look forward to sailing along with you and Peter :-)
Hi guys, I've watched all your video's..and I finely got caught up to your latest vid. You two are the best, and that was a wonderful interview with your new friend. Take care and be safe.😎🐕👍
Wow that is awesome Jerry!!! We are so glad you are enjoying the videos so much!!! Comments like this make our day, HUGE SMILES 😀Stay safe and take care as well! Cheers!
I remember when I woke up surrounded by Johnny Law. Unpleasent to say the least and if I hadn't had a very good lawyer (Enoch E Smith) I'd still be residing at the downtown Hilton. Anyway I subscribed for your great scenery, pleasent demeanor and lack of tattoos. I will enjoy your/our journey to Patagonia and I like my steak rare please.
Hope you seriously consider a windvane for auxiliary steering/autopilot back-up. Best wishes on your Atlantic Crossing. Looking forward to seeing you sail along the coast of Patagonia/Argentina. Looks like Roxy was having a good dream.
Hello both of you I just ran onto your video I liked the content so I decided to subscribe. And that's good that the police understood your situation some places some RUclipsrs had a hard time with customs in the police when something like that happens. Anyway God bless you stay safe stay healthy watching from Roseville California USA
Welcome aboard Calvin!!! :-) Shout out with some California love!!! We agree, we use the headline to play it up a bit as it gets clicks to grow the channel. Overall we have had nothing but positive experiences with customs and LE in the countries that we have visited. Respect given seems to equal respect recieved in most cases.
The Schengen Area isn’t for the whole of the EU as stated and has got also a few EEA countries in it. The canaries not being in Europe one would have thought that they would not be part of Schengen though, like they aren’t actually fully part of the EU but special EU territories as customs rules are different. It is a pain for sailors that 90 limit. Glad to know that some government agencies are understanding sailors. Fair winds and following seas to you
awe.....Roxy.....no bad dreams gurl.....rub that belly for me. You guys stay safe.....and I still say Curtis is a doppelganger of my younger brother, they look alike, and sound alike...it is so weird to watch sometimes.....
It is 100% true that there were 4 police officers who surrounded our boat at the dock at 8am and woke us up by knocking on the hull. We are happy that it had a good outcome, and we are glad it got you to watch and you enjoyed. Cheers!
Realy stupid the rules for boats from USA or Canada and most of non EU countries in communist controlled EU . Spain can be better than many parts of Europe. Irish boats get a hard time in Portugal because Ireland has no boat registry so many Irish boats convert to Polish ,Belgium , or other EU registry systems which cost us Irish time and money .The communist controlled EU is getting to be painful for boats within the EU and outside the EU and Russian boats are probably robbed from hapless owners even if they are just joe soaps avoiding living in Russia and being conscripted into Russian arrny
Thanks for the tip Allyn. We are just having fun with it, trying new things. We are enjoying playing the "thumbnail game" and watching the analytics. Kind of nerdy, but just like trimming sails. Make adjustments, watch the numbers, repeat. Never stop trimming ;-)

🙌 Thanks Kyle! We love Peter and can't wait to see him send it for the second time!
When I saw the Chewy Box the first thing I thought was that Roxy hit the Mother Lode.

Sure hope the sail fits when it finally arrives!
Thanks! We are making the next episode now, we go into detail on it as we unbox and hoist it :-)
Being nice and reasonable with these douanes and immigration folks helps a lot..
Agree 100%

Thanks
You are welcome!!! Thank you Michael!!! :-D
Holy smoke can you install all those components correctly? If you can, I’m impressed!
Hi Randy! We hope we got it right ;-)

Hi Michael! You need to talk to our Patron Ron about windvanes ;-) Do you think a windvane would steer well in those conditions and angles?
14:33 😁
Happy Sunday @Jim! Roxy always has excellent dreams! 😀🐕🥰

I saw the fuel cans and thought you were heading to Ottawa.

What’s the difference? Satanic nazis control everyplace.
Don't you just love it when commonsense is used. The world would be a better place if it were used more often, especially at the top of the chain.
Right on!!!!!!! :-)

Hey Michael!!! Will give Roxy lots of pets for you. So funny to hear about the doppleganger, Curtis must have secret twins around the world :-)
GENIAL 🤩
We are so happy you are enjoying the videos!
Why would there be an issue carrying fuel cans into a harbour ?
It was a high security passenger ferry/cruise ship port, not just your standard marina entrance. Imagine walking into the TSA line at the airport.
@@SailingSweetRuca yes I have been there ,
Usually a fan but - A bit of an oversell on the clickbait
We agree with you Captain! An attempt at gaming the algorithm :-)
Click Bait headline but otherwise good.
