I think we re-blazed the Corb River to Silica trail because we went to the end of the river, climbed over the rocks and boulders, all based on our map saying it was there, and saw the most beautiful and desolate lake. Fishing was even better than Cummings, Crab, little crab.
And now I just got to the part where you show Silica. Good stuff man.

We've been going there for probably 8+ years and used to have an island on Burntside Lake. That route is a lot of work, but it's so worth it for the untouched nature, peacefulness, beaty and fishing! If you haven't, go all the way in and camp on Silica Lake. Just hope the campsite is free. It took us about 9-10 hours to get there from the boat launch on the southwest side of Burntside, making only one trip across the Crab Portage from Burntside to Crab. It's the most amazing fishing and pristine campsite I've ever seen/experienced. Also, we go in late July/early August and have had good luck with weather/temps.

Coxey Pond is good fishing too, but not easy to get to (on top of what it takes to even get to Silica/Coxey portage. Camping on Silica is amazing, but it's a hike, as you apparently well know!
