The equipment is tested and certified by a trusted testing authority, I'll trust them over some idiot in RUclips comments.
How about taking an amount of new brake fluid, and measure the percentage moisture.
Then let the fluid sit open in air for say a week and take another reading to compare, and a third reading after a month. Compare the three readings; new fluid, 1 week old, and 1 month old. That'll tell you something!

My dad is a desiel mechanic and doesn't touch his fluids ever until there is an issue except engine oil. Personally I think it's nuts however I've never seen him change his brake fluid and never had an issue. Not safe but food for thought. His vehicles last about 150k on average before they are traded in or sold, he doesn't even wash them,, he said when I washed it for him his 2012 "maybe 3rd time its been washed "He just doesn't want to work on stuff after working on stuff lol
That makes no sense ! Might as well lease a car. Bring it in for service and let them run it threw a wash 😅

Never used or would buy a brake fluid tester . It's like buying a special tape measure to let you know when to cut your grass 😅 I change the fluid as recommended by the manufacturer.
Because you know if they get it wrong, there's a lawsuit. So they pay people to make sure they're not wrong.
@@jayr1757 The brake fluid testers work for the most part but for me it's like changing any fluid on a vehicle , it's either time or mileage or both in consideration. For a shop their a great way to show a customer that the fluid needs changing .

The break fluid faild out the bottle probably was bad if lid is not on correct in 2 years it absorbed enough water to be bad in the new bottle. If you test it 3 times and get a bad reading it is bad with conductivity tester. You can get hit and miss inaccurate results .
What’s wrong with just using test strips?
Nothing you can use those too
I think test trips work as long as there not past expiry. More accurate? who knows? can you do a comparison video with different brands?
I have the same unit. Mine is not accurate.
