Nooooooooooooo!!! I remember loving King Vitamin cereal as a kid...then when King Vitamin was removed from store shelves...that's what made me say "Noooooooooooooo!!!" I just would've liked a "good bye box," was that too much to ask Babble Top???
My mother had really good intuition as to the cereals my sisters and I would eat. She would tell us, "You kids will only eat one bowl and the rest of it will just sit on the shelf and go stale." My sisters and I would at times talk her into buying it and sure enough, we only ate one bowl and rest of it would sit and go stale. The crazy part is that in the mind of my sisters and I, we loved the cereal lol
Aww! The monster cereals segment missed a couple of the more popular ones - Booberry and Frute Brute! These make an annual comeback around Halloween in recent years!
Interesting story. I was about 13 and wrote to Ralston that I loved Grins & Smiles & Giggles & Laughs cereal. They sent me a coupon for a free box. I rushed to the store 2 blocks away with my coupon. At the register they told me, "3 cents please?" I told her, " I thought that it was supposed to be free." She told me there is a tax. I ran back home to get 3 cents and rushed back to get my favorite cereal at that time.
Also I can tell you about a big failure from personal experience and that was an 80s "health" cereal called "Dairy Crisp"! It might have been a Ralston product but it featured this creepily grinning woman on the box with frosted gray in her hair! The pitch was that the cereal was supposed to provide 100% of a calcium daily portion! That stuff had such a horrible aftertaste I couldn't make it through one box! It was super cheap in the store too for like $1! Obviously they were trying to unload it and as a student I gave it a shot! I even tried to grind up the cereal to make a pie crust just to attempt to lessen that nasty taste to no avail! Hahaha!
I still love Honey Combs, Diggim Smacks, Apple Jacks and Captain Crunch, but im too old and fat now to eat that sort of thing so I just stick to my Grape Nuts with a banana cut up in them…lol
You're never too old. I'm 60 and will probably eat these sugar cereals the rest of my life. It is a guilty pleasure of mine. Quaker Peanut Butter Crunch is my favorite and Reese's Puffs comes in a close 2nd. I love most of them though.

@@johnnyfeathers2567 Yes it does have a fairly strong peanut butter taste. I believe they use real peanut butter and no HFCS which I think is one of the worst chemicals to put in your body. I'm also a huge PB fan.
