It's 2022 and you had a baby boy named Wolfgang. So amazing and synchronistic :) My ancestors would say that this is your spirit baby speaking to you. Love your videos, Kim :)
Kim! I’m about to change your egg boilin life, boil water, add a tablespoon of white vinegar then add eggs, the vinegar softens the shell and they come right off
@@thewadsquad I wish I looked so nice as you with my hair back! I should try different things, too... due any day now. I usually forget and end up with a messy knotted head of hair. Ugh.
Oh my lanta this is so great how you shot this! And I love what you’re saying about the cleaning. I like to do everything in one day and while I don’t have kids I can see this being a great way for them to see that clean houses don’t magically happen, they can learn to clean, earn allowance - so many things!
I work for target & the reason they come in different boxes is because they’re coming from different stores that actually have the product. Sfs (shipped from store) people pull the products and package them in the back of the store! Its pretty cool.
Growing up we mostly cleaned on Saturdays, since my mom didn't always work. I'm 55. As I got to be late elementary school age I didn't want to spend all day Saturday cleaning. It didn't make sense to wait to do everything in 1 day. In junior high & high school I cleaned something everyday. Some stuff I did everyday. If there was enough to do a load of laundry I did it. I cleaned the bathroom everyday. I cleaned the kitchen sink everyday. I swept everyday & mopped 1 to 3 times a week & the same with vacuuming & dusting. I washed bed linens usually 1 or 2 times a month (a pain in our house to do) more if they really needed it. I'd wash the throw rugs usually 1 time a month. Deep cleaning the cabinets & closets I usually did every 2 or 3 months. Curtains usually 2 to 4 times a year. It depended on how dusty they were. There's more. As an adult I still mostly follow all that. We've learned through the years & having illnesses, job loss, planned & unplanned surgeries that you must keep up on stuff. I kind of laughed at your hurricane stockpile. Mine's bigger except for bottle water which I don't buy, because we wouldn't use it. I live in Wisconsin. Being prepared anywhere you live is a must. Power can go out for days, weeks, or even months. Along, with the reasons I mentioned before natural disasters & human caused problems prove you must be prepared. Hopefully Dorian turns out like they say it will, but don't make light of a hurricane cat 1. They're deadly, too.
That’s how I do it. I work full time and Saturday is my deep cleaning day. I spend that day cleaning and then Sunday I grocery shop and do laundry. We are only a family of 4 so we don’t have a ton of laundry. I do mine and my 3 year old daughters and my son does his own...he’s a teen so I make him his own 😂 but he’s been doing his own laundry for years. I think since he was maybe 10 or so and the hubs does his own too. I do have a robot vac that goes around the house every other day when I’m at work and that makes such a hustle difference in how clean my house stays through the week.
I just finished watching the video and the easiest way to peel hard boiled eggs is to use a bottle with a tight fitting lid. You take a shaker bottle fill about half way with water, add cooked egg and put the lid of the shaker on. You shake it back and forth about 3 times and the motion knocks off the egg shell super easy.
Your videos make me smile and my day brighter! I agree Denis Phillips is the best! I still follow his hurricane reports and we moved away from Tampa right after Irma 2 years ago!
We do are family deep clean on Sunday after church during the school year. Right now with a newborn we do what needs to be done. And our older kids help when asked.
I usually clean during the week and I do my laundry on the weekends.I go grocery shopping every two weeks or so. You seem like a breath of fresh air with your family.
I live in the hurricane hard hit area of Texas. Yep Rita, Ike, and Harvey each took a swipe at my hometown and each time we come back better, stronger and smarter. Lessons learned; stock up on solar lights, those will help your little ones find their way around the house after the sun goes down. Just recharge during the day and put them down the hallways and in the rooms you use during the night. no need to use up batteries. store them in the garage when you want to sleep. Also fill up juice and milk jugs with water and put in freezer to keep things cold in case of electricity loss. You can freeze some water bottles too for chilling cold water in ice chests. Ok that's all I will suggest. you got this!
I boil my water, gentle put my eggs in, boil for 7 mins, remove from heat, cover for 20 mins. Run cold water over them until cool. I then hit the flat part of the egg, then roll it - shells come off either whole or close to it 😁 works EVERY time. I love your videos Kim!
I’m here on the west coast of Florida and totally got prepared when we first heard about Dorian, but I’m so glad we don’t have to worry as much praying for everyone in its path. And it’s so true, if you don’t live in Florida you may think that that even a category 1 is terrible. I have a ton of family out of state that has been so worried for us, they just hear tropical storm or hurricane and think the worst 🤷♀️
A restaurant worker showed me this...after boiling the eggs, drain off the hot water but leave the eggs in the pot (or put them back in after draining) bounce the pot up and down, and shake to break the shells. Pour very cold water over the top and peel while the egg is submerged. They fall off.
I've lived in orlando basically my entire life. & i remember how fun hurricanes were as a kid. But now as an adult it hasnt been fun in years. Only thing fun about it is no work. We don't have any kids yet. Just one furrChild. So i could only imagine the amount of extra stress. Irma put us out of power for 2 weeks. & hopen for the power to stay on for the sake of your pregnancy! Stay safe kim & family. Love all your videos.
I’m a 27 year old child-less single girl watching your videos because…I have no idea. But I was really depressed for most of my 20s, it’s finally getting better, so I literally didn’t have a cleaning schedule. I’d go months without cleaning. Now I clean every 2 weeks, but I break it up and do the easier stuff on my work weekend and the harder, more time consuming stuff on my off weekend. Sidenote: I DO have molasses. Only because I bought it for a recipe once.
I LOVED your hurricane series a few years ago. I don’t live in a hurricane area so it is so interesting to see how you prepare and what it looks like ( even the mild ones). Stay safe!!!!
I love your channel! Be safe during the hurricane. My niece and her family are in Jacksonville Florida. Also my nephew and his family. I love your family and you! Can't wait to see the baby! You make my day🤗😊
You always make me smile you are a delightful soul!!!Prayers that this hurricane stays out to sea!!I have family in Tampa St.Petes who have decided to stay....
Family of 6... laundry is NEVER ending!! I have to do few loads a day. Especially to keep up with the towels. But i gave each child their own basket. It's their responsibility to bring it to the laundry room when it's filled. I do it and i have the older ones put theirs away.
When I cook eggs I pierce the rounded side of the egg with a clean push pin before I put them in the cold water to boil. It also keeps the yolk yellow.
If you poke a hole in the fat end of the egg you have less chance of them cracking. My mother kept a darning needle over her stove until she got a an tool that did it for her. My egg slicer has a built in egg needle on it. I do my eggs in my Aroma Pot on the steam function so good.
I clean on Friday mornings and I do 2 loads of laundry 🧺 on Wednesday’s and I change my bedding on Tuesday morning. I do it this way so I don’t get overwhelmed by everything.
Have you tried breaking the shell around the centre of the egg, then gently push a Teaspoon under the shell, and you can easily get it the shell away in two halves.
We do the basics, dishes, washing, tidy, wipe benches, vacuum, etc. daily then a proper clean on Saturday. I have 5 children, homeschool 3 and also a toddler and a dog. Its impossible to clean more than that for me.
We clean little things throughout the week like laundry, dishes, wiping off the counters, and occasionally sweeping. On Saturday or Sunday we do the bathroom and the floors and anything else that needs to be done. It works well for us!
My husband used to work saterdays so id do deep clean and just little cleanups during the week ..but now my hubby does not work saterdays so i cut the tasks during the week too
I’ve been thinking about that too, that hurricanes were so much fun as a kid. No school, hurricane parties, playing in the wind and floodwater 😬 now as a parent, it’s just scary lol maybe we just didn’t get too many big ones? Idk but I also would not let my children do the things we were allowed to do in the eye of a hurricane! 😂
Hi, peeling eggs tsp on counter and roll your hand across the top, as if you pushing egg into counter top, this will split the egg shell in half and come off in one go 🤷♀️😁
My cousin lives in Sarasota now (during Irma she lived in Remington Shores) and she wasn’t concerned about Dorien. She did have shelf stable food and cases of water though. She works in the Sarasota Library, and had to work volunteer hours at shelters and had to bring in her cats with her.
Love how you used your new hocus pocus bowl and snowman plate for the waffles! Cicadas won’t hurt you big big that was on your shed! They’re the ones that make all the loud summer noises! It hatched out of the little brown thing next to it!
I’m from Jacksonville. Was in fort myers for school but now I’m in Clearwater for my first rotation. I’m just praying for my grandparents in st. Augustine. It’s also interesting you say that about eggs because I make the best hard boiled eggs and no ring. I boil water first, put eggs in for 1 minute covered. Turn off heat and keep covered but on thing for 15 minutes. Peel amazing and are perfect
Stay safe! I am in Broward and we should be okay. Just FYI - I don't think plastic bottled water should be kept in the garage unless the garage is air conditioned.
Good morning At least it’s morning right now. I got a tad bit behind on your videos and having been doing catch up. You look like you are doing well. I hope so. Those cookies looked delish! Also the morning when you and Wentworth were out back with the “bugs” glasses on and no makeup you looked beautiful. You always do. Have a Blessed day! 💕
Always like hanging out with ya Kim. Thanks for the hurricane update. My sister and niece were in Myrtle Beach for the holiday, they made them evacuate 😳 vacation over, they’re back in North Carolina now. I’m from California so I appreciate your calmness. 💕 hugs to The Wads🤗
The reason the eggs peel better after cooking in the instapot is because they are steamed and not in a hot water bath. You can steam your eggs on the stove or get an egg cooker. I love my little $10 Dash 6 egg cooker. They have bigger ones that hold a dozen. I do have an instapot but I only drag it out when I’m cooking beans and I can’t soak them over night.
I have a whole cleaning schedule. Each room has a specific day like mondays are for sweeping and mopping that day I do the dish towels and rugs. Friday’s are my “swing days” those are for my cleanings that need done once a month like base boards, ovens etc.
Have been thinking about you guys since I heard about the hurricane. Kim those cookies looked delish! Also, you should do a hair tutorial on the hairstyle you are wearing at the very end of the video, the braid always looks so pretty!
I tidy up everyday and load the dishwasher every day. And then my deep cleaning day is Monday and then a really good tidy up on Friday. I work on the weekends and the kids have actives. So I don’t usually do any cleaning on the weekend.
I’ve been doing the daily tidy at least making sure the kitchen & living room & bathrooms are semi cleaned lol. I’ve been saving laundry till the weekend since my kids wear uniforms to school it just makes things a little easier. Plus our family all uses cloth wipes the baby has his cloth diapers, I use cloth feminine products so I wash all of those like either Wednesday/Thursday but always a load of those on Sunday too lol
I got stuck on a cruise ship thanks to Dorian.....and wasted 4000.00 and didn’t even get to Cocoa Cay......which was whole reason for going......thanks Dorian! I lived in Florida for 10 years as a kid.......couldn’t pay me trillions of dollars to live there with the humidity and size of bugs.....I now live on Washington state coast and love 65’ days and co,d and rain and clouds.....you can keep your massive bugs and humidity lol
Thank goodness you are gonna be safe Kim. I love watching you bake and cook things. Cant wait for your Thanksgiving video this year. I loved last years and I still watch it over and over. Those boxes were great for that stuff too. Love you and the family.
I live in NC and after hurricane Fran we learned alot. We were out of power for 8 days. We also have a generator and my dad (RIP) was an electrician so our generator set up that we plug it in and bam the whole house runs
I’ve made these oatmeal cream pies but I use the oatmeal cookie mix from the baking section then I add in ghirardelli white chocolate chips and sometimes dried cranberries. Depending on my mood I’ll use the marshmallow fluff or I’ll make buttercream, both are amazing!
Hi there Kim! Great vlog! Glad to hear you’re not going to get hit bad. It’s all over the news up here. LOL, I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets lost in IKEA 😁😂. Wentworth is so brave 😁. I wouldn’t have gone into the shed either 😂. Hope you’re having a good day!! 😘🥰👍🏻
I make hard boiled eggs the old fashioned way too lol. I add a pinch of salt and a splash of vinegar before the water boils and they're so easy to peel! Fresh or not
The rollerblading in the wind thing made me laugh. Where we live in Wyoming, 70mph winds are about a weekly occurrence and our kids still go out to recess in them. Granted, that’s a very different story with wind and surge 😂... but I’d be letting them out for that early phase to play too. That’s a Thursday here 😜
I don’t cook my eggs in a instant pot, but I do add white vinegar to the water and the shell pops right off no peeling little pieces. Where did you say you got your mini waffle maker? Thanks for sharing a inspiring vid of getting things done. God Bless you and your family.
I'm glad you guys are safe from Dorian. I also thought I needed an instantpot and I borrowed one for a week. I ended up hating it. I made the eggs and I didn't think they peeled any easier. I think I have a good system already so it didn't seem any better. I also tried tons of recipes and I just felt like there was a big learning curve because you set it for a time and then it had to lose pressure before you can check on it. Instead i got a slow cooker with bake and saute features. I love it.
U can hard boiled your eggs in the oven 350 25 to 30 min depending how u like them just stick one egg in each muffin timeout even in ur big one and put them in urban preheated oven then put them in ice water so easy. The only way I do it lol And for cracking the eggs when I take them out of the oven I put them in the ice water and I make sure 2 crack them all like really hard but just each on the side of the sink real quick and then let them soak in the ice water tether not hot and the shells come right off
Love your videos!! Hope you guys survive the hurricane!! Instant Pot is for sure the best way to make boiled eggs....eggshells literally just fall off! LOVE!!!
ohhh my goodness, hey girl love the vlog´s you are an awesome mama! How are you guys doing? i´ve been following the news about the hurricane on the internet!!! wow the weather is just nutz!!! It destroyed everything in the bahamas!!! I sure hope it doesn´t get really bad at your town/city... Hugs from Iceland ...
Have you tried giving your hard boiled eggs a little roll after tapping them on the counter? When done right makes the shell just slides off. And did you know that a slice of sandwich bread in with your cookies will keep them soft? I just heard about the bread trick. And I love it. (I don’t like baking so I need all the help I can get) and you need a spider stick. Make it long enough to remove a spider and keep it at a safe distance away from you!
I loved it! You cooking/baking is so fun and looks de-licious! No molasses in this house either. I love that your girls are taking piano lessons (and dance....all the shoes in the garage...I was dying! Wentworth helping with the new bins, puts shoes away, tries one on , and continues helping!) Such cute kiddos! :D
Thanks for posting. Was concerned. I’ve got a cousin in Tampa and an Uncle in Bradenton. Glad it’s not gonna hit you guys. I’m over in Louisiana and yeah the only time I left was when I was pregnant and had a small child. Just knew I couldn’t do the roughing it with little ones
Lol I definitely have molasses in my cupboard -- it's mine and my kiddos favorite cookie! I know you're not predicted to get the worst of the storms, but I really hope that you and your family are safe. I also nothing but well wishes for you and the baby.
Oh no! So, crack a line around the centre of the egg. Grab a normal spoon, insert the spoon in under the shell of the egg at the crack line and simply rotate around the egg. The shell will fall right off. No more picking at little pieces of shell.
I have honestly considered making myself a cleaning schedule to hold myself more accountable. Because I want/need cleanliness and organizing in my life. I do have Rosie my iRoomba vacuum everyday to help out but I still need to drag my central vac out to do a super good job.
I love that you named your vacuum!! I wrote down a whole schedule for myself but realize.. I don't follow it very well. haha! I have certain routines, but that's about it! Do you follow Kimmie from Shes In Her Apron here on RUclips? She's awesome and shares her zone cleaning :)
I'm very lucky my son is 25 and on his own! So it's just me and my hubby now! But we don't do house work on the weekends. We try to have ot all done by Friday!
We do the cleaning on Saturday’s and the kids are 8,6,3 and they vacuum and clean the bathroom , and their bedroom. The hubby and I do laundry and he will clean the kitchen. So I’ve gotten to that sweet spot where most of it is delegated.
Dear Kim, you are hilarious and the coolest person I have (n)ever met. :) Also, your son is such a great helper!! My favorite part is where he stomps around in the shoe before throwing it into the bin.
If you add white vinegar to the water that you boil the eggs the peel slips off! I doesn’t add the taste to the eggs but it does get the smell in your kitchen but it’s worth it!
It's 2022 and you had a baby boy named Wolfgang. So amazing and synchronistic :) My ancestors would say that this is your spirit baby speaking to you. Love your videos, Kim :)
Kim! I’m about to change your egg boilin life, boil water, add a tablespoon of white vinegar then add eggs, the vinegar softens the shell and they come right off
I love how you’ve been doing your hair in the braid, you should do a hair tutorial!
I second! I miss your hair braiding days. 💕😊
Testing out hair styles for when I’m in labor! Just want it out of my face but .. not looking like garbage! 😂🎉❤️
Hair tutorial PLEASEEEEEEEE
@@thewadsquad I wish I looked so nice as you with my hair back! I should try different things, too... due any day now. I usually forget and end up with a messy knotted head of hair. Ugh.
I have 4 kids...7,5,2 and 1 and I need to clean before they wake up but here I am with my coffee watching your videos 😂 this is me time lol
Hayley Phelps me time is more important than cleaning! 🎉❤️
This is what I do! I get up an hour before anyone else so I have me time!

When eggs are done, crack them all before you submerge them in water to cool, this will make the shell almost fall off 👍🏻

I’m the same way Kim,
We tidy and pick up as we go, but the weekends are for the big cleaning projects and laundry. Too busy during the week to do it.
Wentworth ist such a good helper! Love this little man! ❤️️😘
He's the best!
I also was gonna decorate for Fall but I was like I'll wait since I'm in Florida too and I'll wait till the hurricane passes by.
Hi Kim. Praying for you and your family as the hurricane bapp
I do general cleaning due week and big clean on Saturday
I make hard boiled eggs the old fashioned way too lol. I add a pinch of salt and a splash of vinegar before the water boils and they're so easy to peel! Fresh or not
The rollerblading in the wind thing made me laugh. Where we live in Wyoming, 70mph winds are about a weekly occurrence and our kids still go out to recess in them. Granted, that’s a very different story with wind and surge 😂... but I’d be letting them out for that early phase to play too. That’s a Thursday here 😜
Time for me to move to Wyoming!!
He was a great little helper!
I hope all goes well for you guys. I’m so excited for you to become a momma again
I don’t cook my eggs in a instant pot, but I do add white vinegar to the water and the shell pops right off no peeling little pieces. Where did you say you got your mini waffle maker? Thanks for sharing a inspiring vid of getting things done. God Bless you and your family.
Target is where she got the waffle maker. Its dash brand
I love it.
Happy you should be safe, prayers for all others!!
Hurricanes in highschool were the BEST!!!!
As an adult with children they suck now, it's so hot!!!! I swear its hotter now than it was 15 years ago.
U can hard boiled your eggs in the oven 350 25 to 30 min depending how u like them just stick one egg in each muffin timeout even in ur big one and put them in urban preheated oven then put them in ice water so easy. The only way I do it lol
And for cracking the eggs when I take them out of the oven I put them in the ice water and I make sure 2 crack them all like really hard but just each on the side of the sink real quick and then let them soak in the ice water tether not hot and the shells come right off
Hope you are doing ok today. Love you’re humor. I’m in Orlando so will get rain. I don’t like camping either.
I am from Tampa, Brandon actually, been in TN for 5 yrs now. Loved Denis Philips he is always so on target with the weather
Love your videos!! Hope you guys survive the hurricane!! Instant Pot is for sure the best way to make boiled eggs....eggshells literally just fall off! LOVE!!!
One day I'll buy an instant pot!
You and your family stay safe as the hurricane approaches!!!!
Awww , Wentworth picking up all the shoes! 😍
ohhh my goodness, hey girl love the vlog´s you are an awesome mama!
I truly love your attitude! You’re the best.
So happy to hear that, thanks for the love!
I always do a double take when I see your Nicholas cage pillow ;-)
Courtney Glasco the man 😂
Always makes me laugh every time I see him around the house 😆
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
First time seeing it! Love how he is in the frame the whole time 😂😂😂
Lol I love you even more now after seeing that pillow case.
Yes, get it now
I have honestly considered making myself a cleaning schedule to hold myself more accountable.
@@thewadsquad I am probably dating myself but I use to be a fan of the 'Jestson's'. I am headed to Kimmie's channel now, thanks for the tip!
I'm very lucky my son is 25 and on his own! So it's just me and my hubby now! But we don't do house work on the weekends. We try to have ot all done by Friday!
Keeping you all in my prayers 🙏stay safe!
FYI, you can click on an option to send in less boxes and they'll sometimes give you a $1 discount. I THINK its on the checkout page.
We do the cleaning on Saturday’s and the kids are 8,6,3 and they vacuum and clean the bathroom , and their bedroom. The hubby and I do laundry and he will clean the kitchen. So I’ve gotten to that sweet spot where most of it is delegated.
My family is going to love those oatmeal "whoppie pies", definitely making them!
Now I know why Kim shop so much she just making sure she has everything for the hurricane and Kim has awesome smile 😊
Always enjoy hanging out with you!
I have molasses but I only really buy it to make chewy molasses cookies. My kids love them. I make them every Christmas.
You never fail to make me laugh Kim 😂 Brilliant vlog 🤣
I’m glad you are at least preparing! Not sure when the vlog came out...but ya, things change. Be safe!
