Jana MacQueen No matter what health care system you have the healthy people will always be paying for the unhealthy, that's how insurance works. The "separate checks" analogy for health care would be if nobody bought health insurance and just payed their own medical expenses. Of course then you would be gouged by health care providers as you won't have nearly the leverage insurance companies do when negotiating a price.

OwnMyCreations I hate that stuff! My "friends" did the same to me. I can't eat the food they wanted to share so I got my own meal. Yet they still made me chip in for the food they shared and what I ordered!

I've hardly ever been to expensive restaurants. I can afford to, but the food doesn't taste good enough/isn't healthy enough to warrant the huge increase in price. I can utilize/budget my money better elsewhere. Everybody worries about money, because that's like your lifeline.
Its actually immensely better to have a great grocery budget and a good kitchen and gaining cooking and hosting skills. Better food, more room to enjoy people, and people feel more genuinely contributing when they bring anything.

Everyone says this is so relatable but my rich friends are'nt jerks? Like, I never pay more than my share when I eat out with them, and if we do split the bill they typically just shove food at me that they don't expect me to pay back in the end anyway.
Obviously some of it is exaggerated for comedic effect. My friends don't ignore me the way they do in the video but Oh My God did I relate to the "Let's talk about the perks of various credit cards while I just have a debit card part"

College Humour is occasionally very funny, but they're young, hip, middle class Millennials, and I am a middle-aged hobo who squats in the basement of an abandoned factory without a fridge, stove, or shower. Sometimes I get annoyed by their tacit assumption that all their viewers are their age and their social class and will "get it" -- like this one. Humour is supposed to be universal. I can listen to any number of routines by George Carlin or Bill Hicks and never feel alienated. I think it's fair to express negative views when comedians -- who are supposed to be subversive -- instead reinforce cultural norms by excluding people from their humour.
