- I got a new helmet, the IXS Trigger FF, and wanted to test the chin mount vs the chest mount for the GoPro. I got the helmet for going to bike parks, enduro racing, and for bigger trails. I chose the IXS because of the lightweight breathability, magnetic chin strap clip, head tightening system, adjustable visor, and I liked the color. The price was similar to other enduro focused helmets I was also looking at, mainly the Fox Proframe. The one thing I wish the IXS had was a rotational crash system, like mips.
For the two angles. I liked the chin mount angle more than I thought I would. The handlebar GoPro mount that I zip tied worked better than I thought as well. I think the 3D printed helmet specific mount I orders (roughly $30 with shipping from the UK r3pro.co.uk) will be best and less likely to damage my helmet.
I still love the chest mount angle because I like seeing the bike more, but the chin mount wasn’t much different, plus it was nice not having the chest mount straps.
Anyways I hope this helps anyone looking at the two angles, the helmet, or trying to figure out the best way to mount the chin mount on a full face enduro helmet.

Is it a problem with mounting the GoPro to the helmet because of the helmets light weight?
Not that I’ve found at all. r3dpro has a good mount for the chin
