- Ran Takahashi | Monster of the Vertical Jump | Men's VNL 2022. The Volleyball Nations League 2022 has begun and the Volleyball team Japan and Ran Takahashi continue to dominate. This young monster of the vertical jump plays better and better and every day shows why besides Yuji Nishida and Yuki Ishikawa he is important for the Volleyball team Japan and why with his help Japan dominates Men's VNL 2022.
Ran Takahashi (髙橋 藍 or たかはしらん, Takahashi Ran, born 2 September 2001) is a Japanese male volleyball player and an Olympian. He plays as an Outside Hitter for Nippon Sport Science University's club,[1] Japan men's national volleyball team and Pallavolo Padova.
On November 29, it was reported that Ran would play in the Italian Volleyball League Division 1 with Pallavolo Padova.[14] He flew to Italy on December 10 and his jersey number is 14, the same as Yūki Ishikawa's when he played with Padova.
On December 19, he debuted in the highest Italian league as a substitute in the third set against Modena Volley.
Pallavolo Padova announced that Ran has renewed his contract with the club for Season 2022-2023.

Ran Takahashi you played really well, jumping high, slapping really hard and the team played really well both offensively and defensively.
He's also a monster in floor defense, and super super underutilized in Padova. Hopefully they'll give him more playing time next season.
PADOVA coach even RAN said he have low evaluation in spiking, PADOVA have worst reception but have great offense,at the same time RAN is a reserve player,hes just lucky that PADOVA didn't do well in reception that's why he got a chance as a starting libero...
RAN is a mediocre hitter as you can see in NT team thats why he's always sub out for takanashi.

I'm telling you a lot of so much younger than ran already toptier at the age of 19 if you'll watching volleyball as a whole and not only focusing on ran... EXAMPLE ISHIKAWA at the age of 19 its already an ACE of JAPAN and a lot more player's already spectacular in that age..
this combined with his amazing reception + digs!! im honestly amazed at how quick he recovers from receiving to spiking afterwards

So true! I get why he's a libero in Padova. His 1st balls are INSANE. A good 1st ball is the key to execute a good play. I get so amazed every time I see him receive a heavy serve or attack. His ball control and placements are exceptional not only on attacks. His passes are so controlled and accurate. His sets are good too. He's a crazily good all-around player, exceptional in every aspect. I am sooo looking forward to how much more he can improve.
@@Ransvergara you overpraise ran, he's not an all round player than you think.we all know he has excellent defense but not in offense guys....base on stats he's a mediocre hitter.
ISHIKAWA is the best example for an all round player and lets accept the fact that RAN is sooo farrr behind.

@@jenjen1388 Well I originally agreed to the first comment saying that his defense is appreciated more than his attacks. I even said that I get why he's a libero in Padova, to think that he's a hitter/spiker in Japan. If we look at Ran only, it's true that he is good for an all-rounder. He has the skill set for it, and that can be further improved given his young age. So I don't think I'm over praising him. But if we look at Ran and also look at other players and compare them, then there would be standards and Ran would not be the "best", obviously. But not being the best doesn't mean you're not good enough. Also, I know that Ishikawa is soooo good he can be anything inside the court, be it a receiver, setter, or spiker. But not including him on my compliments for Ran doesn't mean I do not know how good he is. After all, this video was all about Ran, and so is my comment.

It was a crime for Padova to make him libero
It was in Padova that he improved his receiving skill, floor defenses and strength. The made up OH of Kioene padova before he came, the likes of Bottolo, Leopky are all stronger and more experienced than he is, the team lacked the floor and reception defenses, the skills Ran are good about... the reason he was chosen. That's the explanation of coach Cuttini
He's pretty average as an OH at top level.

Problem blocking and receiving. Only spiking is good.
who is the one you reffering as having problem in receiving? Ran? its not showing in this video but if you watch the whole match of Japan with Ran in it you will know that he is very far away from having problem with receiving. Instead, having a good receive is one of the best skill that he constantly show on the court to the point he is good enough to be a libero. Well for blocking area he is improving tho especially in WCH this year he keep gettin at least 1 block point almost at every match.
If you can show anyone who is a hero in horizontal jump I will subscribe you.
