The spring championships is the dream for every highschool volleyball player in JP.His team didnt even get through the preliminaries in past 6 years(include his big brother). This was the last chance for him and he brought his team to become a national champion 1st time.He should be legend in his highschool now.
His dream is to win a olympics medal. And now Ran is part of Japan National Team!
My goodness. Japan volleyball is somethin else. Only disadvantage they have is height. But as a skillfully built all around player, Japan is superior. Wow. Ran Takahashi was an absolute beast back then too. 😳

The libero of Higashi Yama is amazing. He can perfectly set the ball from difficult angle like a real setter. He must’ve played setter before.
Well , he played setter the following year , so probably . He even used dumps against Suntory Sunbirds despite being only 1.65m.

his whole family came to this game hehe. Rui was interviewed before match 2/3 (i forgot which) and beside him was their father lol (find the whole uncut broadcast if ur curious) and when rui was crying, riri (their youngest sister) was behind him. I guess his mother was there too somewhere, his whole family is so supportive
