    Co-written by Mark Lanegan, who is all over the "Songs for the Deaf" album. Before his work with QOTSA, he led the band Screaming Trees, which many consider to be the first "grunge" band.

    My daughter & I absolutely love the song & the video. They told Dave to play as hard as he could on this song he said he broke like 27 skins on the drums. Dave also played the drums in the band Them Crooked Vultures. His first band before Nirvana was Scream & that's how Kurt Cobain had heard about him

    Don’t they call Josh Homme the red headed Elvis? I think I remember reading that somewhere. Desert Rock or Stoner Rock! Them Crooked Vultures and The Eagles of Death Metal are awesome as well 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘

    Check out Kyuss. The former band of Joshua Homme and Nick Olivieri. Hurricane, One Inch Man and Green Machine.

    Several members of this band were in Kyuss as well . Check them out . They were coined as Desert Rock . Stoner Rock with a twist if you ask me . They were definitely the precursor to QOTSA .

    Great tune and band, Grohl sure did a amazing job on this album, he also did when he drummed on Killing Joke´s self titled 2003 album, hope you check out the mighty Killing Joke out one day, the problem is where to start as they have 15 albums behind their belt so far. I suggest "Millenium" or "The Wait".

    You should check out the group Them Crooked Vultures, which is Dave Grohl on drums, Josh Homme on guitar/vocals (lead singer of QOTSA), and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin on bass. New Fang or Elephants (live version) would be good songs to check out.

      For the live shows, they also had Allain Johannes who played with QOTSA and was also in the band What Is It? with Hillel Slovak, Jack Irons, and Flea... They became the Red Hot Chili Peppers when Anthony Keidis replaced Allain.

    If im not mistaken, I beleave i read that Dave broke a Guinness record for being the only person to have 3 number one hits at the same time with 3 different groups, this song, a song with foo fighters, n a previous un released song by nirvana that came out when they released there box set called 'you know your right'

    Such a great song, album, and band. Them Crooked Vultures is another great band with Josh Homme (the singer), Dave Grohl, and John Paul Jones (bass player for Led Zepplin). If you're interested in Grohl's life, his book "The Storyteller" is a GREAT read!

    Not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan of this song when I was a teen but now .....this is catchy and the video is great!!! And as a New Englander I agree that deer looked cold so bring it in to warm it up lol. Venison is so damn tasty. I'll have to send you guys some of these jerky sticks I get all the time. 3 different kinds, 1 is Venison, 1 is elk (very sweet) and 1 water Buffalo.

    QOTSA first 5 albums are fire. Go with the flow should be your next one and make sure watch the video because it won the best video award that year. Homme is a musical genius in his own right along with Grohl. So many good projects he's been a part of.

    They are desert stoner rock. Josh Homme grew up near Joshua Tree. Check out the band Kyuss . Josh was guitar player but John Garcia was the singer. They did some shows with Tool. There’s video of Tool covering a Kyuss song called Demon Cleaner. I think you guys reacted to their song Catamaran, but they have a lot of good tracks. Also, the Anthony Bourdain episode with Josh Homme in desert is the best episode

    QOTSA is one of my all time favorites. The first song by then I ever heard was If Only of their debut self-titled album, and I highly recommend it. Great band. Josh Homme is the Ginger Elvis.

    There is a live version of this song played for a radio station (only with guitar and bass) I love that version. Obviously the percussion in the normal version is excellent, but the bass sound in the other version is beautiful.

    This video fills me with nostalgia and I remember it because of the participation of the great Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, remembering his past on drums when he was in Nirvana playing in a BRUTAL way, going into Beast mode with those drumsticks..

    Dave Grohl used the drum beats from Chic. He drummed on the Songs For The Deaf album and most of the …Like Clockwork album. Joey Castillo was their main drummer. Dave recommended Jon Theodore to Josh while …Like Clockwork was being recorded. Jon did one track on it, and has been their drummer ever since.

    Dave did a drum session with a band called Killing Joke and it is pretty awesome. I think it is a self titled album as well if you want to look it up. Yellow album cover with a clown face on it.

    So happy you guys did this because QOTSA is on of my favorite bands. Dave Grohl also drummed for Killing Joke album also called Killing Joke. It was around the same time he did QOTSA. It's worth the listening and you can tell Dave is drumming. More QOTSA. Also this song is kinda good timing for 420. You guys are the bast!

    Gap Band is where he got the riffs for Nirvana. The house in Studio 666 (movie) wasn’t his. MTV Cribs went to Taylor Hawkins house. The Foos documentary was at Dave’s house.
    Dave will do session work a lot. His own bands besides Foos and Them Crooked Vultures are Probot and Dream Widow. He’s been on Nine Inch Nails, QOTSA, Tenacious D albums and a bunch of others.

    For me this album was Queens hitting God Mode. Mark Lanegan (RIP), Nick Oliveri, Dave Grohl and Josh all in the same group at the same time. We don't know how lucky we were.
    I may be biased though as this album got me through Radiotherapy in my mid twenties. So many top, top tunes.
    As ever gents, awesome reaction. Don't ever stop.

    He knew what I was doing
    ( I’m a huge music snob, I make references like that all the time 😂 )

    My favorite song to play on drums. This is such an eerie song, but the video kind of makes it silly. Still amazing. They’re kind of a super group at times with its rotating members. I’d recommend “Go with the flow” by QOTSA.
